Strikes should have strike specific loot just like Destiny 1 had and Nightfalls should be unique and not a copy and paste of the same strikes we run daily. Strikes that we run daily should have gear tailored to that specific strike etc but Nightfalls should be almost like a three man type of raid with very unique Nightfall gear tailored to that specific Nightfall. Come on Bungie. Your player base has some great ideals to make D2 even better than what it is. Listen to the communities ideals.
Just imagine a Nightfall with her unique armor and weapons tailored to the Nightfall. They could go all out. I'm thinking an exotic that is tailored to each class. Just an ideal but imagine an exotic called Four the Fallen: an exotic arm piece for the Warlock class that is mechanical attachment that gives you extra arms. Perk would be something like extra melee damage that stacks and reloads weapons etc. IDK. Lol something you would get it from the one strike that has the disappearing vandal boss.
Come on Bungie! Read the post! Look at the amount of likes! Listen to your Community!

1 AntwortenYes yes yes! Give me a reason to do strike playlist for hours!
-
If they do this they need to put strikes in the director like in D1.

10 AntwortenThe problem with strike-specific loot is that people will queue up, see that it's not the strike they want, and then leave. Mind you, this wouldn't be an issue if we could still pick the strike we want to run. But they took that away knowing what happens when population eventually dips.

... but tokens.... Tokens are so much more rewarding and fill you with a quick burst of excitement when they drop. Clearly the answer to all things is tokens.
-
Agreed. It'd be neat to earn (and showoff) a weapon or piece of armor earned from a specific strike. Maybe...1 armor piece, 1 weapon per strike + 1 more of each for nightfall versions?
-
I disagree

1 AntwortenThey should make strike specific mods

3 AntwortenSince strikes didn't start getting strike specific loot until TTK, while i wish it was in place I'm calling the following features that will be added by the April Update at the latest(Before you start saying "What April Update?", the second announced DLC/Expansion will probably be in April if they keep the same release schedule for major updates)... Heroic strikes with Strike specific loot At least 1 raid Some form of Hordeish type mode(with the word of the Osiris DLC having some form of procedural content I bet this is where it is placed. ) More gear and armor. That is my theory on what is to come in the near future. I feel that people are comparing Destiny 2 Vanilla with Destiny 1 ROI which was a vastly different game experience from Destiny 1 Vanilla. I'd be more concerned with content if after the 2 scheduled DLCs are released; not before or after. But that's my opinion and since I assume someone will say that I'm wrong let me address that right now. ITS MY OPINION.

2 AntwortenDestiny had strike specific loot after a couple dlcs. Bungie will release that stuff later just like being able to choose your crucible playlist style. They are holding those things till later to make the game seem like it's getting new stuff but it's just gonna be getting the rest of the QoL changes Destiny had by the end.
-
30 AntwortenWhile i agree, i think you should be patient. Those things werent in base destiny 1, they got put in later. Just like challenges got put in with hard versions of raids. I get the feeling the same will happen with destiny 2. People just have to wait and stop comparing base destiny 2 to a fully loaded (4 dlcs) destiny 1.

Well nightfall is a strike so just the strikes need it
-
NF needs better loot in general, just finished two and got a helmet on one and a bond on another, both lower than what i had so basically didnt get shit. NF is nothing more than a bad joke now, i really wish bungie would take their heads out of their asses and quit -blam!-ing shit up that is not broken and doesnt need changed

Completely agree! I love running strikes, but often get disinterested as I can just run Heroic Public events a lot quicker and get 10x the loot.
-
It's funny if I play crucible at the end of a match I can get crucible specific legendary gear sure it's the same stuff that lord shaxx gives away in his engrams but still it's crucible specific gear. Why not have the same things on strikes give away the vanguard gear at the end of a strike, right now there's only a chance at a legendary engram that can turn into anything. Back in year 1 destiny you could run the roc, eagle, tiger strike list and get different gear from each one. I'd be great to have unique gear from strikes in D2 but like everything they've dumbed it down so much there's no variety in the game mode you choose or the loot you get.... Here's hoping for destiny 3 maybe they'll finally get it right.

DurandalDensity - alt
They could have normal strike gear with a 30% chance of dropping and nightfall versions with a 90-100% chance of dropping -
-
3 AntwortenWhy would they do that? Strikes are something that everyone does whenever they want, exclusive loot should be powerful. If they brought in strike specific loot, the balance of the game would suck. D1 only had loot for the playlist strikes in the age of triumph, after players were familiar with the game
-
Agree with everyone here, there's really no point in running strikes tbh, why run a strike when you can run a heroic public event in less than half the time and receive similar rewards -vanguard tokens. I have 1100 legendary shards, so no real point to legendaries anymore either. The only thing left for me to play is trials on the weekends which is fun but everything has had the fun sucked out.

The game will be far more rewarding -Bungie Well I didn't think that meant more random engrams from Rep packs. But sure. Call that the reward we all want...
