So my biggest problems with destiny 2 is the loot system and the progression stagnation. The removal of random rolls on weapons and armor has literally sucked every ounce of soul and desire to grind from the game. You get the same piece of gear again and it's an auto delete. You don't even inspect it, not even for power level because it's going to be lower than what you already have. Which leads me into my next point. I don't have any desire to play the game after Tuesdays reset and the completion of milestones. Nothing I get outside of the powerful rewards is even close to the power level I need. It would be cool if it at least dropped at my power level. And on top of that it's not unique due to everything having the same static rolls. The grind for a god roll weapon or armor piece would make being stuck at the same light for 5-6 days slightly more bearable. I was excited for the faction rally until I started writing this. I came to the realization that once I get a few faction rewards that there would be no reason for me to get anymore because all the gear after would be the same roll and probably lower power level as what I had already received. I've enjoyed the game up to this point. There have been alot of changes that I like but these changes have me thinking I'm not going to be playing this game for much longer. Which I'm extremely sad to say and feel. I guess I have a desire of a better end game. Nothing I do at this point feels all that rewarding. Lost sectors, public events, crucible, strikes, patrols, adventures, or turning in tokens. I'm missing destiny 1. I just wanted to post how I'm feeling and see if anyone felt the same.

Have to agree. I'm starting to find d2 boring already sadly. AS mentioned I tho k the weapon system with the same roll has a big part to play in that. I've barely touched crucible, bring back the ability to choose the mode.

The thing most people seem to forget is that the point of the faction rally is to help your faction win. Only one faction will get to sell their weapon, the other two will be lost. None of the three weapons are in the faction pool of loot. Each time you rank up you give your faction a point. Whichever faction wins will get to sell their weapon. Yes static rolls can be a nuisance but I've yet to find a tarantula linear fusion and the factions have a chance to give it to me. The random rolls were not bad but bungie seems unable to create good guns even with static perks, some of them are awful

Without weapon rolls the game gets stale really quickly. Once you dismantle something you will just continue to dismantle it every time you get it. When 70% of the weapons are an instant dismantle what are you really grinding for? You can only grind pubs for exotics for so long. The great Mida crisis of 2017 can be blamed on the lack of weapon variety in this game.

I’m with you just stuck, there’s only a few activities that are worth my time. This is trending but no one at Bunghole will respond to you. I’ve searched there are so many posts that say the same thing and no one has addressed any of these issues. Just face it we were all excited and this is what we got.

Faction armor is just reskinned of what we havvveeeee

I played pretty much all day today farming group events primarily. I had one exotic drop that was six points lower than my level at the time. Now, at the end of the day I am sitting here realizing what a waste of time this has been. Actually, after looking back I realized that I had very little fun. At-least with D1 the grinding in vanilla had a purpose as well as just running around with friends. This game has very little reward for the time invested. I'll still play here and there with other, but I'm heading back to ESO with D2 as my game on the side.

They could add more guns and stop doing reskins which is really kinda bs but i cannot think of a single mmo or shoot n loot game that you dont hit a wall and only get on to do your bounties and shit then dont get back on till reset. Games like this raid/ top pvp gear are suppose to be the best beyond that its welp time to play something else till the next expansion

3 AntwortenYep, I now play 1-3 times a week, for about an hour or two to spread it out -- I could easily finish everything on reset and not play again that week. I don't know what they're thinking. I don't care about the changes to weapons, as I like the mod system, there just isn't anything to do anymore. I'm stuck in the 280s on XBone and 270s on Playstation and have been since the first week. Strikes are pointless, the crucible is broken, grinding is glitchy, it's meaningless to play.

Im loving D2, but if I wasnt a huge trials and pvp fan, id be back to warframe already. They made exotics way too easy to get and I have most of them. On top of that most exotics are useless. Please make exotics powerful again!

I was under the impression d2 would greatly expand its loot system and ways to make your character unique and yours. Sadly it gives you basically 4 options with different colors. Wow wtg bungie. I thought the world's would be more open to explore and find hidden powerful stuff to do. Nope thought wrong again. I was hoping for a raid based on the ultimate fight to the death. Nope more mechanics and stupid tedious crap. Haven't even completed raid yet due to how long it takes. Some people have to work for a living bungie. Was fun for first 2 weeks now it's like going to the dentist.

2 AntwortenI have some concerns about a little later on, I'll say that much. While Bungie has doubled down on PvP (because it's their best chance of keeping players when such droughts inevitably occur), the Crucible they've spawned doesn't really appeal to me. I can function in it, if SBMM is reasonably kind to me. But endless following teammates and plinking with my scout rifle will probably get old.

Muted. Stop posting the same crap that’s already been posted.

2 AntwortenI find upping the power level similar to D1. You hit points where you simply don't get gear that's going to rocket up your level anymore and instead it's a 2 point gain on a single piece getting you closer to the next level. The difference I've noticed is that instead of grinding something specific over and over to make these small gains I can do things like escort a friend on his new character through the campaign and still get a few pieces of gear better than what I started at. End result gaining about 2 levels when starting in the 280s

Yeah its frustrating how the clan engram bug makes it so i get no clan engrams then i make 2 alt titans to try to catch up and grind out the gear just to find out they get worse drop rates. Like wtf. Games out 3 weeks people already posting they want max level guardians in lfg. I havent even gotten to try the raid because of this BS. I stopped playing destiny 1 after launch because i felt ripped off this is bungies second chance for me and they are -blam!-ing it up. I just want to be able to play the game. I dont want to be governed by bugs and the way bungie WANTS me to play the game... Disappointed

Yes it has some issues, I made my third and started at zero and hit 290-it can be done
-
I'm ticked off about raid tokens myself. They're pretty much garbage. Sure, you can get raid gear, but the stuff that drops is the same light level as other token gear- namely 5-10 levels below your current light level. Considering you HAVE to beat the raid st least once to use them, it's really stupid to have the token gear drop so low. The rest of the raid has such a terrible drop chance for items that many people are just skipping right to Calus for the guaranteed 300 drop and saying screw the rest of the raid because the effort isn't worth the reward.
-
The faction rewards are lazy re-skins of the current weapons and armor.... so lazy
-
I've capped out characters (failed to get any drops that assist with advancing, even powerful luminous ones) and started scrapping exotics into legendary gear as only exotics were dropping a few points above my light level. Now I've purged two of my three character slots, deleted the app, didn't see any local or online data saves to delete, and have come to bungie's site to see if i can delete my third character ... and start from scratch. I don't know if there was some back-end issue created as they carried over activity milestones and characters from D1. I wish that they hadn't pooched this up so badly.
-
6 AntwortenAnd it gets better yo cuz once you get higher those milestones become useless, around 280? They just give you shittier equipment and become nothing more then a chance for an exotic you'll already have
-
2 AntwortenI completely agree. I miss the days where I would decode engrams hoping for the god rolled 1000 yard stare or Party Crasher. It's pretty sad that they dumbed down the looting system. I hope they can change this in the future or add a plethora of weapons. The only reason I'm playing a lot still is for crucible which imo they ruined too...

3 AntwortenWe cannot become legend when we are all the same
-
1 AntwortenKids want random rolls so they can complain about the grind again. STFU.
-
11 AntwortenThis game will be shit as long luke smith is in charge that fat -blam!-. He is a cancer, all of these poor decision it’s his fault and I don’t know how long bungie is going to keep this moron around to be honest.
-
The game doesn't have enough loot for a loot shooter. Fixed rolls have killed any excitement of drops for me anyway. Seen all 15 guns in the game 100 times over already.
-
You’re a sad loot system.
-
4 AntwortenSo... I dunno, play something else? No one gives a shit
