tl;dr at the bottom
If you're like me and you've finished all the adventures, you'll be familiar with the Io adventure missions involving two taken bosses called the Tongue and (I think) the Eye of Quria.
This name won't mean anything to you if you haven't read the Books of Sorrow (like you should), but it is a very important name.
For those of you unaware, Quria is the first vex to come to our universe, when Crota ripped open a hole between dimensions.
She is described as a mind of better thought.
Now, let's hold on a second - what's a synonym of better? Superior. The superior mind. Maybe, a vex equivalent of Oryx. That might be why she can use taken powers, or that could be a result of her understanding the sword logic, but that's for another lore topic.
Also important to note is that all vex are one mind, as you probably know. So it's safe to assume that "the vex" is a singular term, not plural. If Quria is a superior mind, then I believe that Quria is the vex as a singular term. Quria is the mind.
So. The superior mind has been foreshadowed, and could be the sole vex mind. So what?
Well, we know that an Osiris dlc is on the horizon, and Osiris spent his time with the vex.
Maybe, this dlc's raid boss is Quria. It's as valid a theory as any, especially with all the foreshadowing in these adventures (important note: Rasputin also has an adventure, so we know these foreshadowings are for the dlc.)
So, as a conclusion and a tl;dr:
Quria is coming to town, probably in a raid.
We will almost certainly kill her.
No more vex, if I'm right. Alternatively, the vex will be rendered weak, aimless, and pitiful, like the taken during Rise of Iron.
Thanks for reading, and I'll appreciate any additional insight, either supporting or conflicting.
Here's a source for all your Quriosities:

The vex exist across time and use iCloud so their data is secure. We will never be rid of them. But very interesting. I've read a lot of vex lore and it would be awesome to finally see destiny get vexed.
-
I LOVED the adventures on Io and can see that being a thing. Unfortunately, time being time she would know it's happening. The vex from before would still exist. We would have to go through time and slay version after version. She's a collective mind so if we kill present her, vex from the past in the present would communicate it and change plans. It's possible. Time is just a mess of a thing to play with. We already killed Atheon so she's aware of our capabilities.

3 AntwortenNah mate, Quria didn't exist until after Crota cut open the sword realm, and the clue is in its full name. Quria, Blade Transform When the vex first encountered the hive, Quria was created with the purpose of understanding the Hive, and the sword logic. Oryx eventually captured it, but DIDNT TAKE IT, and gave it to his sister, Savathun

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von Croooc: 9/18/2017 1:16:10 PMEither that, or she will be a -blam!-ing troll like Calus and send a robot instead of herself.
-
10 AntwortenNot a great theory, due to the fact that Quria was taken by Oryx, then gifted to Savathun.
-
11 AntwortenSavathun will show up in the Rasputin dlc. Mark my words.
-
2 AntwortenI really hope there isn't a D3 and just more updates. Or atleast have a MMO that lasts more than 3 years. FF11 lasted like 10+ years and still isn't dead.
-
Hopefully this next raid as so many mechanics the neckbeard will pop everlasting boners that will tear holes into another vex realm
-
4 AntwortenI really hope this isn't true.
-
6 AntwortenAnother interesting fact is that we NEVER see hive and vex fight each other.....
-
3 AntwortenThe vex aren't ONE mind. There's a few minds that they "belong" to
-
5 AntwortenWhat I want to know is who made the Vex? They're machines so someone made them. They're also from an entirely different universe so that's cool. It seems that all alien races so far besides the Vex, are from our galaxy. Not even a different galaxy within our universe. Oh, and I'd like to know their motivations. Something about wanting to exist everywhere. And in-grain themselves within the fabric of reality. But why?

4 AntwortenThat's not going to destroy the vex or halt them in any way. Quria was taken by Oryx and given to Savathun. I don't think Quria was the true mind of the vex either. Hive minds dont generally work that way, and rarely does the pinnacle go into a dangerous situation if they do. For Halo, when does the Gravemind move around and do stuff? It doesn't really go anywhere for that reason. While it is largely immobile anyway, it has been shown to move within its confines to grab Chief and manipulating objects. Either way, Quria isn't tied to the vex anymore, and has been taken. The vex turn entire worlds into massive minds, as they did with mercury and tried to do with venus. Each of these minds control the vex units around them and seem to provide input to the others based on it's findings and knowledge. Quria was a powerful mind, but was not their main mind. Also, Quria is not the vex equivalent of Oryx. It was the most powerful mind the vex had at that point, and may be the most powerful they've ever had, we're not sure. However, even Quria with tons of data and time to analyze Oryx's throne world and Oryx himself, he was only able to create a bootstrap version that was Aurash. Directly from verse 5:1 of the books of sorrow.
The closest Quria’s got to a simulation of Oryx is a best-guess bootstrap. It’s wrong — Quria’s sure of that, it’s Oryx minus the symbiote organism, minus the wings and morphs, minus the weapon, minus the power. No good for anything. Quria manifests that simulation anyway. Just to see what happens. The Taken King marches on Quria’s Hydra-hull, armed with blade and magic, cloaked in ancient cloth, and the universe wails in horror around him. Quria’s physics models and toy worlds choke and crash. Quria observes, alert and attentive, as a single quark splits on the tip of Oryx’s sword. From within the Hydra-hull, Quria’s tiny not-Oryx speaks. “What are you?” it says. It’s manifesting terror and awe. Oryx’s eyes blaze with a curiosity that is entirely isomorphic with hate, with voracious hunger. “Aurash,” he says, in his Hive language. “You’ve made me as I was. You’ve made a tiny Aurash. Ha!” Quria updates the simulation’s name. Aurash is curious: “You’re me? You’re me as I become?” Oryx kneels. His blade is on his left shoulder. Quria is firing every available weapon at him, but his wards don’t break. He looks into Quria’s sensors through the hammering fire and he says, “Child, I have everything you wanted. I am immortal. I know the great secrets of the universe. I have scouted the edges of the Darkness and I have chased the lying god down galactic arms in a howling pack of moons. In my fist I carry the secret power that will rule eternity. In my worm I bear the tribute of my Court and of my children, the Hope-Eater, the Weaver, and the Unraveler; and with this tribute I smash my foes. I am Oryx, the Taken King. I am almighty.” Quria samples the Taox intelligence retrieved from the Ecumene gate. There are useful names. It feeds them to the simulation. “What about your sisters?” Aurash asks his future self. “Sathona? Xi Ro? Are they with you?” The Taken King’s fangs glint. That sound might be a laugh, or a hiss. Quria shuts down its weapons and puts all its spare resources into sending telemetry to the greater Vex. There will be points in space and time where this data is vital. There will be great projects undertaken in the study of this ontological power, this throne-space. “Where are my sisters?” Aurash shouts. “What have you done with my people? What have you done?” But Oryx’s fist is full of black fire, and the next thing Quria sees is a light like stars.
Oryx left Quria with some will after he took it to surprise Savathun, but it's connection is severed. Killing Quria will not stop the vex, but it might slow taken. The vex were brought to oryx's throne world by crota and then spread from the throne outward into everything. Now they can pull from other timelines to give them infinitely more vex. We don't know if there is a way to finally kill them.

2 AntwortenThe Osiris DLC isn't coming with a raid.
-
3 Antwortenall the enemy races have hinted at a bigger threat, Savathun for the Hive Quria for the Vex House of Kings for the Fallen The Leviathan/Calus for the Cabal
-
It's probably going to be Quria and Savuthun
-
That can't work. In the Books of Sorrow, Oryx took Quria and gave the taken corpse to savathun.
-
2 AntwortenOryx gave Quria to Savathun as a gift....
And since Savathun is coming as the next taken King
This could be connected..
-
25 AntwortenWith the way D2 turned out I hope they don't make D3.
-
At this rate the D3 mega villain is gonna be pissed off crazy on the rag toten Cortana. Looks like the Didact got steroids hit the gym and now calls himself Ghaul...
-
Destiny 3 isn't gonna happen for a long ass time. The only reason they did D2 is so they'd have a better foundation for the franchise.
-
Well idk about that. But from investigations during strikes, I have learned the vex upgrades their weapons to particle beams to adapt to a new threat. What that new threat is, I don't know. Maybe those pyramid ships at the end of main story. And Rasputin has tested devices to put the vex in a type of stasis and disrupt them for short periods of time. If you play the adventure on io. Add to that the taken have used some magic to trap vex in game. After destroying the light you free them..... I can only guess some major shit is about to go down.
-
2 AntwortenYou completely misunderstood what Quria was. It wasn't the first Vex to enter our world or the most superior Vex mind. Quria was simply a mind the Vex created to understand and exploit the sword logic of the Hive. That's what the Vex do; they make different minds for different purposes. The only reason Quria appears again later in the Book of Sorrow is because dealing with the Hive threat is Quria's job, so it had to make another attempt to fight Oryx eventually. But Oryx Took Quria and gave it to Savathun. Now it's nothing but another soldier in her Taken army. Probably a boss level soldier, but an underling none the less.
-
I'd like if they did kinda what they did with Vanilla. Kill Quria at end of a story expansion, and then end Savathun in a raid.
-
Oryx "took" Quria and gave it to Savathun, with some will of it's own, as a gift. Being the smart one...Savathun probably figured out how to exploit The Vex via Quria Bladetransform. She is using Quria as a means to more easily take The Vex.

1 AntwortenQuria did not have taken taken powers. When she tried to confront oryx in the books of sorrow she tried to simulate oryx and she failed because she was only able to simulate aurash which is oryx's first form of his body. When oryx realized she could not simulate him he used his powers on her and "took" her. The mind called qurias eye could just be one of qurias minds she tried to use before oryx took her.
