What happened to Machine Guns?
I completely understand the whole new power weapon system and all. The sweet business is the only weapon that comes close and it is an auto rifle. I kinda miss the style of the old Machine guns The Z Apocalypse for example.

3 AntwortenThey ruined my dream loadout of assault rifle, sub machine gun and large machine gun. Why is it so much to ask to pull the trigger once and hold it while unleashing death upon every thing that crosses my path?
-
1 AntwortenThey replaced them with SMG's...which are kinda like auto rifles, but super inaccurate.
BungieVision says you're welcome.
-
12 AntwortenIt's a side effect from nerfing fusions, which still need to be nerfed some more.
-
Honest answer: They were competing for attention against seven classes of weapons capable of one hit kills.
-
2 AntwortenMy man DeeJ let me down. I thought for sure he'd save Thunderlord...I thought for sure he would.
-
Bungie decided they were too much fun. Couldnt have that.
-
2 AntwortenReplaced by worthless and weak grenade launchers
-
3 AntwortenI miss Thunderlord more than Gjallarhorn
-
13 AntwortenSounds like Bungie did not take super good advice from anyone.
-
3 AntwortenFor crucible essentially, due to the damage and amount of ammo you got from heavy it meant you could go on a rampage with some good play, should have kept them and just limited ammo in PvP. Still think they have a place and hopefully bring them back at some point or even and exotic or two.

They removed rhem to sell them you AGAIN with a DLC. As they will do with all the stuff they left behind in D1. Partnering with Activision destroyed Bungie. You now get Candy Crush and slotmachines crossbred with first person shooting.
-
I miss em too.
-
Thunderlord :(
-
1 AntwortenYou'd imagine that with all the weapon types and new weapon types being added they'd keep machine guns.. but against all odds... I guess not.

Bearbeitet von Warlock TheGrey: 9/17/2017 5:57:42 AMThey removed it to eliminate long kill streaks in pvp. Similar reason resulted G&H to be removed from rocket launchers + mag size dropped to 1. All weapon balance in d2 done based on pvp in mind. They could reduce mag size or something else to keep them in d2. I loved using MGs in any activity in d1. Very unfortunate not to have them

1 AntwortenZavala in his great wisdom ordered all machine guns moved to the tower in case it gets attacked..... then the tower got attacked and every machine gun was destroyed
-
16 AntwortenBungie added a water proof coating and they became submachine guns.
-
14 AntwortenToo many rounds in Crucible. The Crucibabies did not approve so Bungie removed them to make those crybabies happy.
-
They got subbed
-
I wish they would just add them in with auto rifle and submachine gun damage models with large magazines, looking like they used to.
-
1 AntwortenI still have my BTRD in D1. I hop on just to use it every couple of days.
-
They made them into less powerful SUBmachine guns
-
6 AntwortenThunderlord!!! that was my fav exotic by far (best looking and fun to use as dps)
-
They're paragone

I can see mgs come back as kinetic/elemental weapons, with severely less damage than in d1. Essentially super slow autos with low handling; the opposite of smgs
