Like legit this isn't a nightfall, it's speedrun the video game. These nightfalls are getting stupider and stupider say what you want but it's hard to have fun with this garbage.
Edit # 1 So I see I have some people who agree with me and I have some people who don't understand my viewpoint.
1. I never said I couldn't do the nightfall, I never said it was hard. I already did the nightfall so I have right to give my critique of it.
2. I said the nightfalls are getting stupid as they are straying away from they should be. A challenge that should be on the players skill, not based off of who can run past all the enemies.
3. The timer is stupid (my opinion) I'll respect anyone else's. I should be allowed to take my time and plan out my moves during the strike instead of having to restart half way through because a little too much time may have been wasted. Again I've done the nightfall it wasn't hard so difficulty is clearly not my problem my problem is that they are tossing in mechanics that don't belong in a nightfall. Why am I jumping through rings? Let me play my strike the way I want to. I want to shoot stuff not jump through rings to get more time in the strike.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm sorry you don't enjoy the new Nightfall, but I happen to disagree with your assessment for two reasons: 1) A time trial is not a speed run. You want to end it with at least 5 minutes on the clock and the way you do that seems to change each week. Last week it was kills, this week its those sonic the hedgehog rings. Either way it takes teamwork, planning, and skill to put as much time on the clock as possible. If you ignore all that and run past all the enemies, yeah, you'll probably complete the strike, but you'll miss out of the bonus rewards and the fun of setting the high score for your friends. 2) Have you played the prestige/hard mode, yet? I could be wrong, but I doubt you have. It's nuts. You want a challenge, it's there waiting for you when you get high enough light/power level. I'm not going to tell you how to have your own fun, because you're entitled to do what you enjoy. I just think your issues with the nightfall may be misinformed. TL;DR: it takes skill to keep time on the clock and hard mode is much more challenging than the normal/230 mode

4 AntwortenSpeed running gives the illusion of challenging, but it’s not for a SHOOTER game. This isn’t Crash Bandicoot lmao I hate the concept of timing instead of actually giving us real challenges that involve the in-game mechanics
-
"Wait...who made this game? "Tit us"? The -blam!- is that?"
-
13 AntwortenYes because wiping and going to orbit was so much fun. Don't get me wrong I love spending sometimes an hour on vallus taruc hiding behind a ramp, shows me bungo wanted the nf to take skill to beat...
i bet you complain about shaders too smh
I liked the format in the first nightfall, increased time with every kill. The rings were kind of lame.
-
I agree. Nightfall D1 was challenging. This is literally speed run nightfall. The more I play D2 the more I'm hating it. End game stuff is ruined. I'm just grinding now for what seems like pointless rewards that are stuck at 265 and get dismantled. I really don't get what to do..
-
We killed all the mans had 8:57 left
-
Nightfall should be a test of skill. I hate the timer, it's literally the worst thing to happen to strikes and completely undermines the strength of the enemy AI. I want to shoot stuff, not run past things.
-
I agree that the timer was a horrendous idea.
-
Killing time was kind of fun in my opinion. You needed to pick your targets. But this is bullshit and stressful. In Killing Time, you could regain time in a boss battle. In Rings, you better pray that you got enough rings earlier. Also, the part with the drills and the rings was quite possibly the worst experience I've had in Destiny. Rainbow Burn, eh, you were OP as well. Warlock only King's Fall? Managable. But this? The -blam!- is this? AND if you miss out on the rings, well, too bad, you kight as well restart the strike now, cause you're gonna have to do it again!

Ide just like to say I loved this weeks.
-
There was another modifier that was supposed to be active instead of prism, but it was apparently even more broken than prism so they decided to leave prism in place for this week's NF... wonder if that would have altered the experience for the better? I quite liked last week's NF... really encouraged us to plan and think and I like that they put something in place that encourages and rewards tactical aggression and movement rather than sitting back and patiently sniping everything with an ice breaker (yes I have been very guilty of that one in year 1)
-
I'm not a fan of the timer, but since most people run past everything anyway I don't see it being a big deal.
-
You say it like it's a bad thing... Superman 64 was probably one of the all time best games ever! Whats not to like?
-
6 AntwortenD1 omnigul, no burn, juggler and trickle now that was a challenge took us an hour and a half to complete not including all the wipes and starting over.
-
Nah I'd rather them add interesting mechanics as opposed to making bosses and enemies more bullet sponges.
-
I agree, it's totally dumb, can't enjoy it running mad through a game..
-
I've always hated timers in games. I much prefer taking my time etc, so I'm really disappointed it's turned into a speed run.
-
2 AntwortenTimed events are the least favorite things in gaming for me, Bungie gets stupider by the minute.
-
I am with the OP NF now is really dumb, it felt like I was speedrunning Doom 2, I didnt feel like Destiny. I wanna do a difficult nightfall but not have to speedrun past everything and then have to wipe the boss in 5 minutes its just boring.
-
Timer sux, team death to orbit was better
-
Agree, timer sucks. I want enjoy game and not rush.
-
Totally agree. And is the one and only reason I won't ever be doing one. Year 1 I used to look forward to this weekly event very much. Now it's an absolute waste of time. Literally. Putting a timer on an event is the laziest way to ruin a game that is already struggling.
-
I want my fingers worn down to the bone after completing a nightfall.... Bungie sort it or else
-
Other than the timer the nightfall feels more like it's just the old Weekly strike. There's no modifiers except a way to increase time and rotating burns. not like D1 that had like 5 different mods and you wiped to orbit. i did my first nightfall today(only got to like 230 light before reset but had to go to work so didn't get to try nightfall) and we beat it our first try. then 3rd try we got the rat king quest done and had like 6 minutes to go. part of me is glad they're a lot easier since they were so unforgiving before. but honestly they feel too easy now.
