Why am I being forced to play Superman 64 in the nightfall?
Like legit this isn't a nightfall, it's speedrun the video game. These nightfalls are getting stupider and stupider say what you want but it's hard to have fun with this garbage.
Edit # 1 So I see I have some people who agree with me and I have some people who don't understand my viewpoint.
1. I never said I couldn't do the nightfall, I never said it was hard. I already did the nightfall so I have right to give my critique of it.
2. I said the nightfalls are getting stupid as they are straying away from they should be. A challenge that should be on the players skill, not based off of who can run past all the enemies.
3. The timer is stupid (my opinion) I'll respect anyone else's. I should be allowed to take my time and plan out my moves during the strike instead of having to restart half way through because a little too much time may have been wasted. Again I've done the nightfall it wasn't hard so difficulty is clearly not my problem my problem is that they are tossing in mechanics that don't belong in a nightfall. Why am I jumping through rings? Let me play my strike the way I want to. I want to shoot stuff not jump through rings to get more time in the strike.

The timer is what makes it hard. Did you honestly have any problem with a Nightfall in D1? Because I didn't.

I would be fine with the timer if it was something reasonable like 20 minutes and no way to boost the time so basically finish in time or your out of luck. Starting me at 10 and having to perform tasks to get more time isn't fun it's stressful.

I am in Total agreement with you, since week 1 of D1 the nightfall was my favourit activity. Now I get zero enjoyment of it. I also was looking forward to helping people trough the new clan system, but With the timer i Will kust complete iT for rewards and only touch iT Again on reset.

1 AntwortenIn D1 they wanted people to stop speed running strikes so they implemented a challenge system. Why change that ideology? They could have implemented a similar challenge system for the NF, maybe a global leader board with the best score, toss in a timer for extra points. You know actually kill stuff! Now the NF strike is shorter than a normal strike. That's not what I want from Endgame content.

I too hate the new nightfall quests. I do understand the timelimit aspect but the timer is way too short. It has to be rushed, not much strategy involved..

I am not a fan either, but we finished it with few seconds left. Pretty much ran through several sections to stay ahead of schedule.

I would like variety, this timed feature as challenge for some night fall is okay, but for every night fall, lazy development if it is.

Yeah, I completely agree. In D1 the nightfalls were one of my favorite parts of the game. I'd solo them every week. I tried to solo the nightfall in D2 for the first time. I couldbt believe how much of a let down that was. (Granted, I still don't have the best gear.) But I jumped in and saw the timer and thought "is this a joke?" The timer is ridiculous. I like the challenge of soloing content. But that just wasn't fun.

1 Antwortenagreed, the idea of nightfalls being a speedrun is a lame artificial difficulty bump, i like and believe that nightfalls should be difficult but shouldn't me made so by slapping a timer on them, if anything is a lazy difficulty bump at best and lack of thinking at worst. if it was something like, complete within time limit for better loot or some extra reward, i would be ok with that, or if it was a modifier that could be applied or not like all others, i would be ok with that too 100x solo the old hard Omnigul over anything with a darn timer

I'm not a fan. Nightfalls need to go back to what they had. Speed yolo swag 420 stuff is garbage.

I absolutely hate games or events within games that are timed. Nightfall being timed doesn't sound like fun to me.

My fireteam and I playing nightfalls "can we run past them?" "yup" "ok lets go" "arc burn" "lets kill these guys" "no it'll take too long its quicker to run past them" "solar burn" "oh sweet we can get on our sparrow and go by them all" "void burn" "ok jump through all the rings" "arc burn" "boss time i guess we have to kill this guy" "solar burn" Its lame and a joke. It should be hard and about tactics like it was back when you got kicked to orbit if you wiped. I think thats how it should be but someone "smarter" than you or I thought it would be sweet to just force the speed run.

1 AntwortenIt should have a timer but not counting down. Then they could add a leaderboard so you can see how fast people went compared to you. And that would make it an incentive to try to go fast, but not force you to.
