Empty Chests need to be addressed
Everybody is an uproar about shaders of all things - but we have bigger issues on our hands guys.
There is a serious problem with loot in this game right now. Treasure Chests, Resource Nodes - and Even [u][b]Cayde's Stashes[/b][/u] have about a 1 in 5 chance of yielding absolutely nothing inside. (For some players).
-It has nothing to do with running away from the chest
-It has nothing to do with objects on the ground needing to be picked up
-It has nothing to do with glimmer cap
-It has nothing to do with Resource nodes sometimes only giving glimmer
-My game is not lagging
-Waiting 15 seconds or a full minute, it doesn't matter - it NEVER pops up or gives anything
-It's NOT a visual bug, you do NOT get the items. They do NOT go to postmaster
I've heard it all today guys, every single way possible to make this a user end issue - and it's all wrong. It's a bug, plain and simple. For those of you who don't think it's a big deal - you obviously don't understand the value of Cayde's cashes yet.. (Protip, they have an insanely high chance for exotics)

UPDATE 2: I just started my Titan and I made it to EDZ and started the first adventure from Devrin. He sends you across the street to the other building to open a cache - well lo and behold it was empty. Haven't opened anything else with this character yet except the one chest in the Dark Forest.
Basically my second chest in the game and nothing. Lovely. Just goes to show that it's also not an anti-loot mechanism in play.

It happened to me once. I took a step back and got the loot because it was on the floor.

5 AntwortenDon't move after opening a chest until the loot appears. If you pop it then sprint away you could miss out on the drop.

4 AntwortenLuck of the draw kid, move on to the next one. There's plenty of opportunities for more loot. Nothing's guaranteed, that's why it's a perpetual grind.

I've noticed this as well. Sometimes I can walk away from the chest and come back to it and hit it again and it will work, but that doesn't always work. I have looted one, not gotten anything, run off from it and like 15 seconds later the loot pops. I would say packet loss is most definitely at play here.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Salty500: 9/9/2017 12:34:18 PMI wouldn't call it a serious problem, it's a niggle at best, so stop whining about it and climb down from ya soap box, just put a post up with a video in the help section and say "hey bungie here's a clip of chest n shards not dropping anything think u have a bug" and am sure they will patch this. Btw when ever I have had a chest not drop anything I just press on the chest again until the drop appears, it's almost like it's delayed, they might have a small scripting error on the rng or could be slight lag from game server as it's so busy ATM, I have never not had anything.

The only time I've had a problem was with a cayde chest,it took a while but the loot did drop,it felt like maybe 20 seconds,I was still standing beside it.

2 AntwortenNot claiming this is the case or something but i did notice this. I have not had a "empty" chest before but did notice that sometimes you have to stay at the chest for a little longer before getting rewards. So instead of the "press the button and run away" style we had in D1, now i just stay at the chest untill i get rewards. It takes a while from time to time tho so maybe if you do run away, you get the "empty" chest you are experiencing.

1 AntwortenWhilst the others are annoying Cayde's stashes are the big problem. I've seen people say they got exotic engrams from them. If you miss one of those that would suck big time :'(

Only time I don't get loot is running a lost sector more than a couple times in a row which makes sense
