Empty Chests need to be addressed
Everybody is an uproar about shaders of all things - but we have bigger issues on our hands guys.
There is a serious problem with loot in this game right now. Treasure Chests, Resource Nodes - and Even [u][b]Cayde's Stashes[/b][/u] have about a 1 in 5 chance of yielding absolutely nothing inside. (For some players).
-It has nothing to do with running away from the chest
-It has nothing to do with objects on the ground needing to be picked up
-It has nothing to do with glimmer cap
-It has nothing to do with Resource nodes sometimes only giving glimmer
-My game is not lagging
-Waiting 15 seconds or a full minute, it doesn't matter - it NEVER pops up or gives anything
-It's NOT a visual bug, you do NOT get the items. They do NOT go to postmaster
I've heard it all today guys, every single way possible to make this a user end issue - and it's all wrong. It's a bug, plain and simple. For those of you who don't think it's a big deal - you obviously don't understand the value of Cayde's cashes yet.. (Protip, they have an insanely high chance for exotics)

UPDATE 2: I just started my Titan and I made it to EDZ and started the first adventure from Devrin. He sends you across the street to the other building to open a cache - well lo and behold it was empty. Haven't opened anything else with this character yet except the one chest in the Dark Forest.
Basically my second chest in the game and nothing. Lovely. Just goes to show that it's also not an anti-loot mechanism in play.

Not only have I gotten this issue, but I built and got to level 20 with my hunter today. First character was titan and got all chests and everything just fine. I now have this op problem on my hunter as well as my gold chests aren't even on the map page or the ground when I go look for them. Wtf?

2 AntwortenI've noticed this issue as well, I'm almost 100% sure it's a time limit bungie has placed on gaurdians to keep them from collecting too many chests or resources on a planet within a given time. If you space the chests out with public events and such you will see a large decrease in chests being empty

1 AntwortenIt seems to me like bungie put in a system that only allows a certain amount of patrol chest/resource nodes to be looted in a certain time period. My buddies and I have tested it and have come to that conclusion. Let me know if you can find anything out about that. I've been searching everywhere about it.

Been having this problem all day. I used 2 fire team medallions and got a lot of loot boxes with nothing in them

2 AntwortenJust found a work around, at a certain point chests and resources just stop dropping, but I've noticed that if you complete a public event, or a patrol the chests will start dropping loot again, perhaps this is intended, so you have to engage in patrols and public events to maintain efficiency of farming, maybe they didn't want people running past events to try and chase chests, or maybe it's an oversight end an unintended bug. But try finishing a patrol and they should drop loot again, if they stop complete another.

Literally have gotten nothing from Black exodus area, every chest and every material will give nothing. I'm just trying to get the Dawn mine shader. But I am not getting anything from any cache. Before I got the idea to farm fallen Cache for it. (The color scheme of the shader gave me the idea) It happened every 2-4 chests. However in fallen area's I can't get anything from anything. Complete BS.

This happened to me today. Opened one stash chest today in the EDZ, and it was empty.

I've been trying to grind Io tokens for the armor set Asher drops, but after a while the chests would just stop dropping tokens, even high value targets boxes would be empty, I tried going to orbit, hard resetting my Xbox, with cayde selling the scanners for loot caches it's so disappointing that this bug is in the game.

Just did all 5 of caydes treasures and 2 were empty. Got 2 emblems and a jornal entry from cayde. The rest were blue gear less than my light. Waste of glimmer to even buy that junk.

Same issue. Racing around titan using zoom function to find chests really quickly. Would make quick work if it wasnt for half the chests being completely empty. Haha thought I was the only one.

Yeah this is insane. While farming on IO, I opened 2 chests and 1 material. Got them both. Then opened about 6 more chests and materials IN A ROW AND GOT NOTHING! This is dumb. All I want is Asher's faction armor -_-

same I've probably spent around 3 hours on IO today trying to get tokens for his armor and at least 2 of those hours is frustratingly finding empty chests

I'm having this same problem on Io. I'll get about 4 tokens out of chests and then all of a sudden all the chests are empty and I get nothing from the resources either. This problem needs to be addressed ASAP

3 AntwortenI'm gonna be that guy. I see your u 3 cayde chests and raise you a 2 raid chests...... No engrams. No glimmer.......... In the raid!!!! The premier end game content to raise you power level... Just 3 dodgy faction rep boosts. To a dude I can't get to because after it happened to 4 people in the fire team 2 of then rage quit because there's no point of there is no reward.

Im not quite sure if this counts but i have had the same problems with chests and its now starting on bleedin gunsmith legendary engrams. I handed in 30 odd weapon parts and got an engram clicked on the engram and got nothing checked the postmaster and nothing there either

This has happened to me a lot. It's frustrating but to me, it's not a big deal. It would be nice to have it fixed though.

And 40% of the chest you found turn up nothing, after 4 hours running around the church. (been trying to get that helmet since day one, and almost have gotten everything else. (gotten a quarter all the exotics and still no helmet.)

Been getting alot of glimmer but no items from shards and chest on EDZ. Around 40 -60% of just nothing.

I've had it happen maybe 10 percent of the time. Still annoying.

This happens to me a whole lot and it's very irritating. Like, seriously, I'm already getting kinda bored because there seems to be issue with a whole lot of things going forward and trying my best to get a more higher power level to do the raid, but I'm getting screwed by the game so I'm not having much fun anymore (also, farming ain't that fun from the get go, so if it's bugged, it's even worst)
