Destiny 2 Laptop Issues

There is a bit of a strange bug, I would like to bring attention to the attention of developers regarding Destiny 2 on laptops. I would like to preface this with the specs of my laptop. I currently own an MSI GS63 VR. The specs are as follows: Intel i7-7700HQ; GTX 1060 (MaxQ, so it's a desktop grade) with 6GB of VRAM; and 16GB of RAM. The game is installed on an SSD. I'm attempting to play the game at 1080p with the Medium Preset of graphical options. Running the game on fullscreen in the native laptop monitor is yielding strange problems. For one, it does not seem to recognize the actual resolution of the monitor. My laptops screen is 1080P, but full-screen mode never renders to that spec. In fact, I cannot change the rendering resolution in fullscreen, the drop down is unavailable as seen here. The only way for me to change my resolution (seemingly?) is to go to any windowed mode and select the resolution and then return back to full-screen. However, it defaults to strange resolution numbers, like 1920 x 1001 as seen in the previous image. Now for those who don't know, laptops run a bit differently than desktop PCs. The dedicated graphics card is primarily used for processing and rendering only, it passes off the drawn images to the integrated graphics card that draws the images on the monitor. Essentially, the dedicate GPU does the hardwork and the integrated GPU merely displays it. Now this generally works just fine with most games. So my laptop display driver is the Intel HD Graphics 630 as seen here. So I theorized that perhaps Destiny 2 was rendering only via the display drive, which would explain the performance issues and monitor spec recognition problems. I went to the Nvidia control panel and forced the Destiny 2 executable to only process on the dedicated Nvidia GPU, but to no luck. On full screen it would not go to 1080p or achieve frame rates higher than 50fps in game. However, when I switched the game over to windowed mode (any of them), it was suddenly running at 100fps from the 50fps previously. Perhaps windowed mode allowed the game to then process through my GPU? To test the theory, I plugged in an external monitor via HDMI and set only my second monitor to be on (so basically my laptop screen was not running, and only my monitor was drawing). The external video port on my laptop is both driven and displayed by my dedicated graphics card as seen here.nd And voila, it's running like butter. Full Screen mode recognizes 1080p as a render option. The game is running at 110-ish frames in normal gameplay and dips to the mid-90s in heavy combat. So my conclusions: 1) Destiny 2 renders only via display driver when in fullscreen. This is not good for laptops that uses the integrated graphics as the display adapter. I tried another experiment where I set my GPU as the global setting for rendering within the Nvidia control panel, but to no luck in fullscreen. 2) Destiny 2 renders via graphics card when the display adapter is not required. Even in playing windowed mode, the frame rate is significantly lower than when playing on an external monitor. I hope this gets fixed before the main release. I had such a nostalgia trip back to the days of Halo CE on PC and genuinely had fun with Destiny 2 and can't wait for more.
