Like this post if you have confidence in Destiny 2’s story.
After the leaked information about the story, and everything else included, I can happily express that I do have confidence in Destiny 2’s story. Like this if you do too

The story will be generic crap. Maybe there's a plot twist that the stranger/traveller is behind all of it but even that won't make a difference. The most stupid enemy race of the franchise takes over the last human city with russian cold war tactics from 600years ago...that fact alsone makes everything else unimportant and stupid. The good thing is: I don't even care anymore. Story isn't what keeps the players in the game for thousands of hours. After one playthrough it'll be completely obsolete.

Three years and not a clear vision of what the -blam!-s going on in the "Destiny universe". Quickly putting something together at this point is beyond discussion/confidence ..... "confident" he said lol. Enjoy the gameplay and don't think too much. You already know the "story" of the sequel. Space turtles are invading, took the big orb thing in the sky so start shooting.

14 AntwortenIf i base my answer from what I've played so far?? I simply can't. There were too many loopholes during that first mission. Also, mute guardians is a huge let down for me. If they don't explain certain things that bothered me, during that Homecoming mission, when the full game comes out....then the rest of the story is already ruined for me.

He's a villain with an actual purpose! [/spoiler]

I am confident they will do their perceivable best try to make the story as good as possible given the fact its all scfi-fantasy and make-believe science. Reminds me of MST3K's theme song. Mostly the last part.

20 AntwortenCan't do it. D1 didn't have a cohesive story. Now they're saying the Darkness is being written out and the Stranger is written out. The one mission we played didn't make much sense given that the Vanguard were caught completely unaware? Instead of trying to intercept the contraption the Cabal are attaching to the Traveler, we board a random ship and try to disable its shield for some reason. I have very little confidence Bungie can do a complete 180 with D2 and make it make sense or relate it to anything at all in D1. I hope I'm wrong and it's amazing but I'm not getting my hopes up. I figure if I go in with low expectations I won't be disappointed.

Confidence? no. Not sure how any of you can be. Hope? yes. All we can do is hope Bungie learned, listened and wont make the same mistakes.
