You put up a good fight, but Activision announced that D2's preorders outnumber those of D1.

Just remind them that its just a beta. Not the final product.
-
If true, that's pretty impressive considering the preorders were mostly so high the first time because it was a new IP and everyone was excited to see what the latest from Bungie was going to be. But, we know Activision likes to inflate shit beyond typical proportions.
-
Probably not excluding cancelled pre-orders........

Bearbeitet von Bigjit539: 8/4/2017 9:08:12 PMYeah, because Activision is known for honesty and they would never skew numbers in their favor. Bland statement by Activision : pre orders for Destiny 2 have surpassed Destiny 1. Stock holder: What do you mean by that? Activision: we counted total preorder sales, and compared them to Destiny 1. Stock holder: What did you count, and what did you compare them against? Activision: We counted all copies, physical or digital sales, of Destiny2, for all countries. We then compared that to physical sales for PS4 for Destiny 1, from the state of Utah. Stock holder: I see. I heard there were a lot of canceled pre orders. Activision: We don't have that data yet, but there is no data to suggest that. No, this probably didn't happen, but numbers can be fiddled with. Remember when Destiny had 25 million accounts? They probably do, perhaps more so. They're pretty tight lipped about specific, active players though. Even if they have a number, they're the deciding factor on what "active" means.

^This^ Lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 So f***ing hilarious

Why is this even a thing on the forums. Yeah Bungie is kicking @$$. Boo they're going to go down in flames. D2 is gonna release people are going to buy it. Some people will like it some won't. Bungie and Activision will make money. We just don't know how much yet. Then life will go on. I don't think the fate of the entire universe depends on wether D2 is an epic hit or colossal failure.
-
That's awesome. Pretty much guarantees I will be able to pick up a copy for 10$ by the end of September. Thanks

2 AntwortenHahaha are people seriously falling for marketing PR crap? Activision makes a LOT of claims they never back up with hard data ever. Also the CEO compensation model gives him every reason to overstate the truth and buy back stock to try and inflate their prices. The same cast of clowns also said infinite warfare preorders were on track only to admit after launch the game wasn't the success they hoped for.
-
6 AntwortenBet their "data" doesn't show how many preorders have since been cancelled O.o
-
9 AntwortenCan someone actually post a real number so this argument can be concluded. I personally don't believe it's an accurate statement but will acknowledge it if hard data is being presented. I don't really believe the hype from any company until I see it in my stock returns. .
-
7 AntwortenOf course it did, D2 is available on 3 platforms instead of 2. People on pc can get a copy of D2 with the purchase of certain graphic cards which count towards preorders. Until activision releases preorder numbers for specific platforms, which I doubt they will, we won't really know how much of an impact adding pc has on preorders.
-
2 AntwortenLet's use some logic here. They opened up Destiny to PC users. There are console users that also more than likely preordered for not only the console they play on, but for PC as well if they own one. Those numbers are overly inflated which is obviously going to make the numbers higher than D1. Either way, both sides of this argument is making you guys sound like a bunch of 12 year olds.
-
3 AntwortenI didn't realize they would run out of stock at launch. Why else would you preorder? Unless you get a discount , who cares. I think it's silly to preorder something that has endless stock
-
1 AntwortenBet that's not updated to count the people who cancelled their preorder shortly after the dog turd beta. I call a recount!
-
The reason I didn't preorder is because Bungie doesn't deserve my money before the game is released.
-
Those were canceled you -blam!-ing pleb.. people preordered and canceled to give out free codes.
-
4 AntwortenI didn't know there was a competition. Preordering really lost its mojo for me after I got burned with Star Wars Battlefront. I've been pretty hesitant since then. After playing the D2 Beta, I lost all enthusiasm for pre-ordering it. I'll wait for launch and see how it looks. Heck, I may even wait until it drops to a $40 game. It depends on what the final version looks like.
-
11 AntwortenI couldn't care less if anyone preorders or nobody preorders, I'm going to be playing the shit out of that game when it comes out.
-
FAKE NEWS!
-
3 Antworten
You put up a good fight, but Activision announced that D2's preorders outnumber those of D1.
People are dumb after the mess with destiny vanilla, they haven't learn their lesson and these same people are going to be the first posting on YouTube how much they hate destiny 2
-
No Man's Sky?
-
And if greedyvision has taught us anything it's that we can't trust anything they say and do.
-
I dont want to hear any complaints from people who prep ordered.
-
It's on an extra format. Shouldn't have been too hard.
-
Haha haha haha... Losers. Yep I'm a Destiny fanboy. Can't wait to start playing my preordered D2.
-
5 AntwortenThe argument is that all of our awesome pre-orders are ruining the game, so if we've surpassed D1's numbers.....then.....that means.....dun, dun DUUUUUUUN! We've really ruined D2! So now if anything goes wrong with D2, guess who's to blame!
