Have you heard about the 8 man strike?
I was playing the beta last night and my fireteam and I jumped into a quickplay control match and then this happened....

Does anyone remember the glitch in the division where you could have like 20 people in a team, during that time it was some of the most fun I've ever had, they patched it though and it was very disappointing, I wound up getting rid of the game shortly after for other reasons though

be great if we had this happen once in a while, some buff to the boss where he does more damage and another fireteam is dropped in to help out, uping the rewards etc. all rng of course.

Damn, that is where everybody went. Ran the strike last night and started with 2 teammates, one went with me to the drills but then when I dropped down to where the Cabal and Vex we're fighting I overextended and died and we got the darkness screen. Only 1 guy was with me and he punched me several times and left. I ended up soloing for the rest of the strike. Had to wait for bullets from Bungie twice because of how bad ammo drops are and I did not get any replacement teammates.

3 AntwortenSo wait, is there normally a chest that spawns at the end or was that something new? I've spent most of my time playing PvP in the beta but the one time I did the strike, I don't remember a chest appearing.

2 AntwortenJust amazing. Wish this was a thing...give us a true horde mode and survive endless waves of enemies syncing with a 6+ fireteam to hold everything off...come on bungie

How fun would an 8 person strike be, but its scored as 4v4. Whos doing the most damage to the boss, yellow bars killed, players revived (even reviving the enemy teams players gets you points since youre both fighting the boss and strike enemies.) Now im not saying you can damage the other guardians... but you can bubble them as they shoot rockets. Then get the points off the revive. Itd be hectic but fun i think.

This shows that it is possible to do this kind of thing. I imagine that most of the community would love this to be feature, even if it happened a bit like a random event rather than every strike. This really should be a thing!

6 AntwortenIts annoying that I have 4 to 5 friends that play Destiny so for strikes someone always feels left out or has to play with a random. Would be nice if we could all play together.

11 AntwortenIt seems pretty bad when it takes 8 people to dish out the same amount of damage in that much time that it takes right now for three people with the best boss killing power weapons in destiny 1

Nice. Haha. With more powerful weapons he might not actually be that bullet spongey either, I know three pulse grenades melt him fast.

Played 8v8 control the other day. Well, technically 4v4+4v4 as it was 2 different lobbies on the same map, couldn't shoot the guys from the other lobby though. It was confusing as hell but it only lasted less than a minute.

8 man strikes would definitely help me get closer to actually buying Destiny 2.
