Top 5 Problems Bungie - Must Fix - for Destiny 2

[b]Shorter Cooldowns[/b] - Both in PVP/PVE grenades and melee abilities need to have cooldowns reduced by half or more. In PVE Supers need to be about 5 times faster, in PVP it works for now having no supers but maybe add "super recharge stations" similar to heavy ammo spawns at set intervals? [b]Fix Heavy Ammo[/b] - Drops way too infrequently in PVE, and is inconsistent in PVP (why do some 1 shot weapons like fusion rifles get multiple rounds and others only get 1 like rockets?) [b]Buff Hunter[/b] - Golden Gun duration is way too short, and Dodge is probably the worst class ability to pick. Lets try something semi-useful like Smoke Grenade - causes temporary team invisibility disorients enemies / causes temporary enhanced team DPS slows enemies ([i]traps them to you know.. HUNT[/i]) EDIT- Suggestion is to combine a buffing/debuffing Smoke Grenade and Dodge into one ability [b]Buff ADS while in air[/b] - Warlock Dawnbreaker seems to have many abiltites relying on being airborne, yet shooting in the air is nearly impossible to maintain any accuracy [b]Buff Sidearms[/b] - Compared to Handcannons they are trash right now. Im not saying make Sidearms the monsters they were in Destiny 1, but as a Primary weapon at least bring them up to viability. Or just delete them. Either works, but dont leave them in just as garbage filler to dilute drops Bonus - Titan shoulder charge has had a 100% nerf so it takes several to kill an enemy, therefore nerfing it further by making it share cooldown with the melee punch ability is bad design

  • I think super balancing should be a big thing Bungie looks at. Compare the Titan sentinel to the Hunter golden gun, I use these two because it's the most extreme example I can see. Sentinel can throw the shield, block, and "blade dance" or activate a bubble for team defense. While the golden gun can shoot off a few shots.

It's a very powerful movement ability. You have two different types of dodges to use from with their own respective animations. To be honest, you shouldn't just be using the dodge for an ability. I do agree that in PvE, it might need an alteration, but it's still decent on it's own as a movement ability. I'd recommend the Marksmen's Dodge for PvE and use the Gambler's Dodge for PvP. However, for PvP it's currently fine the way it is. No one likes grenades being chucked at them over and over again. You shouldn't be playing for ability spam.

      • There's a lot more important things that need fixed. The new weapon loadout completely ruins PvE and PvP. Two primaries is idiotic. The fun factor is now gone. Not being able to run a sniper and a launcher at the same time, is one of the dumbest things you guys have done. You changed something that wasn't broken. Stop ruining PvE in order to balance PvP. Nobody bought Destiny for PvP. Only one person gets heavy ammo in PvP and that is stupid. You might as well just remove heavy ammo completely. You already killed special weapons and ammo. PvP was great in Year 1. You've turned it into a slow, boring mess. The lack of snipers, shotgun rushers, and machine gun rushers, slows the game down even more. Nobody is moving around anymore. Everyone camps. -Special weapons don't belong in the heavy slot. -Grenade launchers suck. For both game modes. (I had to shoot a guy 3 times to kill him in PvP) -No machine guns for some reason. Why? -Supers are extremely weak, and take way too long to charge, along with the other abilities -Grenades are extremely weak. (I threw one into the middle of a group in PvP and killed no one. -Shotguns have no range, and are weak. Still. -The sniper I used was horrible and did next to no damage. -Crucible is now a team shooting, slow, boring campfest, with no rushing or 1v1 situations at all. -The exotics suck except for the hand cannon(but the sound it makes is terrible)The other two are garbage. -A lot of the guns sound terrible. Like staplers or a pencil being shoved through a plastic bottle. -Time to kill in PvP is way too long. -Fist of Panic still kills you when you're way above the player. -Nova bomb travels like Lance in Destiny 1 and misses the target. It moves too slow. -Ammo drops are non-existent. -Shield/health recharge/recovery takes too long. -AI Splash damage is still ridiculous and kills you through/around cover. -The hunter dodge is pointless/useless compared to the other class abilities. -The female AI dialogue is cringy/not funny, and the voice is annoying -Arcstrider sucks. It's nerfed Blandedance 2.0 -The Sentinel shield throw is weak and should ricochet off of multiple enemies. -Golden Gun is the weakest I've ever seen it. -The colors/brightness on Nessus makes PvP players and other things hard to see. Everything blends in. -Tripmine should stick to enemies again, or at least a Phalanx's shield. -The one shot boss stomp is still a thing and shoots you off the map sometimes.

            • I don't know how realistic it is to ask a developer to tweak ADS just a hand full of weeks from a launch. But I do agree with the remainder. Great feedback!

                    The reason why there are long cooldowns on all abilities is because Destiny 2 is focusing on gun skill. Gun skill. So if you rely on a grenade to throw around a corner to start more engagements, then you sir need to adapt and figure how to rely on your gun. If Bungie were to make abilities more common it would lead to similar events of crying for buffs, and eventually nerfs like in Destiny 1. As for your argument regarding the hunter dodge being the worst, what you said is only half true. Yes, in terms of PvE the hunter dodge mechanic isn't as beneficial for a team, but it was made to encourage an evasive playstyle. Hunters aren't a class that can be played in the same spot as their team 90% of a strike, or any activity for that matter. A mobility-based class is meant to be mobile. Now the dodge in PvP? Don't make me laugh. The arcstrider and the Gunslinger can both make amazing use of both dodge variants. More so for the arcstrider, since if you can literally gain a new charge on a melee once you dodge near enemies, and then gain a new dodge when you kill an enemy with your melee. In fact, I would say that a majority of people who say the dodge sucks simply say it sucks because they look at it from the wrong perspective. It all comes down to one thing: the game is more gun-skill-based now. People such as yourself need to watch themselves in case they come close to ruining the balance of the game. Abilities are a side thing now. So don't ask for buffs when the game is still in the beta. Give yourself time to look at whether or not people are making good use of what they have before you look for changes. EDIT: Halo 3 did a great job in multiplayer because the longer ttk rewarded skill.

                      100% AGREE WITH THIS POST. I'm mostly enraged by the Hunter dodge. I see some people defend it. "It's for an evasive battle strategy." That might be cool if we could use it more often, but compared to the Titan and Warlock ability, it's laughable. Add an invisibility effect when you use the dodge roll that lasts for 3 - 5 seconds afterward, and I'd more inclined to like it. Maybe it wouldn't be perfect, or great for team support, but at least then it'll be more useful in pve battle. Not to mention it would be easy for Bungie to implement.

                      • Does dodge have the same cooldown as a d2 melee. It would be crazy if you could only dodge every 1 and a half minutes.

                              • Don't get rid off dodge make it better. Like pre nerf shade step. And with more add more utility other than increased melee range or returned melee charge

                                    Add to this list the Striker shoulder charge is absolutely useless... it takes a shoulder charge PLUS 2 melee attacks to kill someone. How is this viable in any way? The risk of running up to someone while they're spraying you with bullets should be rewarded with a kill. Here's how it usually goes ... sprint up to person I'm now almost dead ... shoulder charge plus melee, they melee me I die. Pointless and will never be used by me or anyone else I guarantee it. The reward is not worth the risk.
