Don't mistake the vocal minority on this forum. I guarantee you D2 PvP will post much, much better player retention numbers then D1 did.
D1 pvp was a mess. It was broken.
While d2 MP obviously has flaws it actual feels like a somewhat competent pvp shooter. As opposed to a broken mess that you'd play for 20 minutes before laughing and turning it off.
With that being said here's a few things I think could be tweaked for the better.
-Nades and melees should recharge a little bit faster. They're pretty weak now so there's no need to have them on such a long cool down timer.
-The big problem is nade recharge being too long. People can clump teamshot because you almost never have an AOE attack to prevent it.
-Kill times and movement speeds could be bumped up a tad.
-I don't like that kills and assists are merged. Especially since assists are given out so easily.
-Static weapon perks make duplicate weapon drops totally pointless. You may as well be getting nothing.
-The lack of subclass options is disappointing.
- What's the point of "competitive" and "quick play" if they use the exact same MM? Competitive should have tight skill and party size MM. Quick play should be pretty much only cbmm.

D2's PvP is good... if you're a player who relies principally on your fast reaction time and your superior fine motor skills to gain wins. If you're a player who relies more on strategy, loadout, and judicious use of abilities, expect to struggle. D2's PvP is pretty much a primary slugfest. Faster guy wins, slower guy expires.

Are you on Xbox only?

they better have a very big PvE, thats all i care about.

D2 becomes boring and flat after couple games... and the rewards arent really rewards, are coins for participation with no random stats...

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von sergeantsnipes05: 7/21/2017 9:37:12 PMTTK is fine where it is and with headshots it is pretty much the same as destiny 1. I think they have done a great job with the primary balance so far especially how you HAVE to land all headshots to get the max TTK where as before, especially with certain hand cannons, you could land a single headshot and then focus on body shots. I think this will slow the game down overall (not a bad thing) and force a more thoughtful and team focused style of play with a bigger emphasis on positioning, rather than broken special weapons and movement abilities. You can still get around pretty quick compared to other shooters. For static perks, I actually really like this. The random rolls added too much variance for them to balance all the rolls and lead to perks getting gutted completely because they were too strong on a particular archetype but fine on the others. When someone has a hand cannon you know exactly what perks are on that particular hand cannon and dont have to worry about them having a better roll than the one you have. Esports are a big thing and will be an even bigger thing in the future. They want to touch that market when they have such a huge player base and rather large twitch viewership I do agree that charge time on abilities, grenades need to charge a lot faster than they do now (nowhere near D1 though because that was a nightmare) especially since they are in a far weaker state. and supers, especially if you are playing well need to charge a lot faster but overall I'm happy they have decided to focus on the primary gunplay because that has always been the strongest part of Destiny. BUT and this is a huge but, all the change and effort they put is being wasted by bad hit registration and still a netcode that belongs in 2005. I NEVER had these issues in halo 2 or 3 and yet here we are in 2017, 13 years after halo 2 and I still feel like that game had better hit detection and lag compensation than destiny 2 does. Doesnt matter how much you tweak your matching and searching algorithms if the base code and infrastructure still sucks

Bearbeitet von Safari Farnsy: 7/22/2017 1:20:45 PMJust saying.. there are only 2 PVP areas maxed out 4 performance! New software & hardware environments + 4 years design/dev exp.. brings us to: 4 is the new 6?

5 AntwortenScout rifles need a buff. Hit registration has latency. Movement feels sluggish. Radar needs to be like D1. I noticed lag.

1 AntwortenI don't think it's better at all and D1 primary feels way better !

I'm actually enjoying the beta. It's not a super/special/grenade/heavy fest now. It takes skill to build your super, and you might not even pop it in a match because you didn't get enough kills/assists. It's almost as if you didn't "earn" it. That's how I felt it. You can pop up to three supers in a match, only if you "earn" them. D2 PvP rewards skilled players. It's way more competitive than D1, but it feels good. It has a different pace, different TTK, etc. But that's good. That's really good. Last night I did some Control matches with a friend in D1 after playing the beta since it was released and it was everything D2 isn't. A lag fest. Supers everywhere, snipers camping, shotgunners crouching in every corner of the map, there was no primary gunplay at all. That shows how unbalanced and broken D1 PvP is as of now. Tl;dr: D2 Beta PvP > D1 Broken PvP

I thought is was pretty fun, although I have only played a few macths. Like you pretty much said, its far from perfect. Cooldown times should definatly be bumped up. Overall weapon balance seems fine, however I have been out of nowhere two burtsed by pulse rifles at full health and shields (unless there's a burst fire heavy weapon pulse rifle I dont know about) I personally think that while the pvp is more engaging, I liked doing my own thing and just running and gunning, but now you have to stick with your team or you get obliterated and thats boring. Other than that I think the assist counts as kill thing is fine due to the shitty time to kill, this may just be me as well, but the game feels a bit more clunky sometimes, probably because Ive been playing other fps games recently though.

Bearbeitet von goatbilly07: 7/22/2017 4:18:41 AMIts not bad, but not as good as d1. I prefer that its not a grenade and super fest. To me thats an improvement. However, maps, are, too small seems too easy to get kills. The games seem really repetitive to me. Not much strategy from what i have seen. Also long range shooting is not rewarded or really possible

And pve is lightyears behind
-
It's y1 D1 PvP pre-nerf.
-
I wouldn't say it's better but I've still enjoyed it
-
Why is its pvp lightyears better? Cause they castrated the pve to do so -_-

Looked at your playtime realized anything you say is null and void. You have no voice- goodbye and muted

Bearbeitet von Tetrafy: 7/20/2017 3:49:11 PMWow youre dilusional cooper. For someone who is somewhat above average in the Halo community the people who are complaining arent a minority and you think it will hold a higher population howd that work for Reach 4 and 5 compared to 2 and 3?

Couple of things matchmaking will be different between qp and comp in final game it's mentioned in twab. The loot pool is so small in the beta u can't base ur opinion on static rolls on that. I think armour is missing a few perks which will affect cooldowns so I will judge that in final product. But overall I think your on the money with your points I feel like super generation needs to be addressed but this could be armour related to will have to wait and see.

D2s everything is better than D1
-
The pvp is team based and kills are shared...no. Just no. Its basically catering to the garbage players in D1. Giving out participation trophies to the kids that are not as good.
-
2 Antwortenthat's like, your opinion, man.

1 AntwortenLmao nope
-
14 AntwortenIt not light years better. There are some things better and some worse. -Ttk is horrible. -Charge rates need a buff, but not to the point of D1 which became and abilityfest. -The power ammo is dumb. The competitive mode ends up being a fight for power ammo. It pains me to say this but I prefer D1's system. They should have left it intact but eliminated ice Breaker and never had weapons that generate ammo. I hated getting sniped or shotgunned to death in D1. Special was abused. Primary gunfights are nice. But now it's just fighting over power ammo. -the slow ttk promotes team shooting but also promotes running away and avoiding gunfights. That sucks. Don't want a ttk like COD, but it has to be better than the beta.

2 AntwortenAssists should be given after dealing 40-50% of a players health, at least for a kill credit. Now I can tickle a guardian cross map with my smg to have him die and get kill credit for participating.
