Any one else feel that pvp is less solo player friendly?
Not sure if its the map or that people are playing in teams. it just kinda feels like going into a match of control by yourself is much harder than in destiny 1. but again could just be some other thing that will go away after the beta

Reason why......because no one who solo queues talks!!!!! In order to do well as a team in PVP, communication is key. When I join into a PVP match and literally every single game I'm the only one who joins team chat to speak, it really makes for an un-enjoyable experience. You want better games when you solo queue? Get more people to talk, it's as simple as that.

4 AntwortenThis was always going to be the case. The emphasis on teamshotting means if you are a solo player without a team, your screwed. You have to run with a group of random players you can't communicate with and hope that you just work as a cohesive unit, whereas squads of 4 will just shred matchmade teams with superior teamwork. This is what happens when you don't make a common sense decision to divide the PVP matchmaking settings between social and ranked. Let the sweaties have it out in the ranked modes and let the casual players just go in and have fun. While we're at it, lets make the ranked players suffer because they all seem to want to just use primary weapons anyways. The PVP in ranked should limit you ONLY to primary weapons, period. No abilities, no power weapons, etc. That is exactly what they want. Social should be more akin to what PVP was like in HoW. Anything goes, just have fun, and if you get frustrated getting OHK'd there's always ranked...

Haven't noticed. Once I started getting more used to the setup myself, I found it a bit easier. Still more about player skill and common sense than communication. [spoiler]as in deciding which weapon works in the situation and keeping an eye on the radar. Usually leads to teamshooting anyways lol.[/spoiler]

Absolutely. The meta is "teamshoot everyone!". So boring and generic.

Fire Teams have has always a better chance to win, but a good player on a team of randoms could turn the tide, this is now gone. My concern is that most matches I have played so far were completely unbalanced, only a few matches were quite tight so it make sense to fight until the last second, most of the matches were decided very early. One weak player on a random team against a fire team ends up in a 3 to 4 combat and the game is done in most of the cases. PVP makes a lot of fun at the moment, because everything is new, but I guess this changes will keep solo players - like me - away from PVP in the long run, but small numbers of PVP players will bring back the lag issue, which is already there, when I play the beta at unusual times over the day ... Maybe the new social Clan feature could change this?

Yes. The change of format, the increased TTK, and reduced access to OHK weapons are all going to make it almost impossible to play as a lone wolf. The game is going to be all about team shooting. Because the outnumbered player is going to have far fewer options to fight his way out of trouble....and the team with the numerical advantage is going to have an almost overwhelming one.

It is definitely worse for a single player. Specially the competitive mode. It would be fine and fun for single players if you didn't have to hug a teammates ass the whole time to team shoot enemies.

This game needs a lot of fixing and work, I sure hope to god that the full game is not as -blam!-ed as the beta. They have made it so team play is the only effective way to win and have almost completely isolated every solo player, carrier. I don't want this game to flop like D1, just make it right the first time, don't sell me the game I want to play after I have bought the primary copy, just don't f u c k over your loving community. I believe the reason for the games change In feel and mechanics is due to blizzards interaction with bungie, they have tried to make a team based overwatch type game that simply isn't the destiny we all love and want more of.

100% less solo friendly. We asked for less ability spam and once again Bungo goes to the far extreme. 4 v 4 instead of 6 v 6 and no Rumble? You've got to be -blam!-ing joking me.

No. I don't. I feel it makes me have to be a better team player with a group of randoms, and I'm ok with that. I did well solo whenever I made it a point to stay in sync with the rest of my team. When I was out of sync and doing my own thing, I did terrible. Radar awareness and team positioning is vital, and IMHO that's a good thing.

1 AntwortenOnly bad players struggle with it tbh. Only solo and I've been playing pretty well...just because your solo doesn't mean you just run out into gun fire repeatedly. Play with your team. Random players or not...be a team player and aim at the head. Instead of constantly blaming the game maybe look at what you're doing wrong.

No I think you've pretty much got it nailed. If you're not in a team for pvp then you are screwed.

1 AntwortenWell, there is no Rumble option so obviously solo players will suffer. 4v4 is a sweatfest filled with 4 man fire teams. If they don't add other player # options to PvP they're going to lose a lot of players.

I have played solo in PVP 99% of the time. I felt the difference in D2 beta right away on the first match. Second match and onward I singled out one team mate and stuck with him. Usually they figure it out and we wind up flanking as a pair. Wasn't too bad. But yes it's definitely about team shooting now.

Yes. I can tell right away how it will go. Did we all run together and stake out an area? We are gonna be competitive. Did everyone bolt off in their own direction for one on one fights like d1? Game over. I've enjoyed the 4v4 (both modes) though I hope they open their minds to bigger games for casual fun.

I played a couple rounds solo and I didn't think it was too bad. I just tried to stick with my teammates and help team fire. I agree it feels better with at least one other friend but it's not unplayable. Just my experience

1 AntwortenYes and no. For me it all depends on whom you are matched up with. I have gone rounds in d2 beta where we destroyed the other team, and have been on the receiving end of that as well.

U have to have more gorilla tactics like if I'm shooting one guy and someone else pops up dip off and flank unless the guy is gonna die then battle it out shit ain't hard if I see my team pushing middle to get B where the other team is im going around to get leverage to push

I've been playing on my PS4. I'm going to play on Xbox tomorrow. I haven't done too bad and I always play solo. One thing that helps is if you have a headset players can still hear you call out. It does defeat the purpose of balancing when you match a team of 4 against 4 solos but you can still win. What needs to happen is this. Have one of the game types for solos featured each week. One week Clash for solo players only and the next week Control and so on. That should keep everyone happy.

Constantly matched against 4 man groups, randoms too afraid to push. Losing 9/10 of games when running solo. The game is fun, but you can't just hop on and play like you could in d1.

100% agree. PvP is now all about fire teams. It makes me not want to play. Lost a game earlier...23 to 72. We could not do anything to them . Frustrating.
