Lol a video on the vision of destiny and another slide in from Luke. Loadouts will now be locked in activities without the option to switch. Add this to all weapons having static loadouts, no grimoire, 4 man PvP. This should be called destiny 0.5. Instead of adding to the game they just ripping it apart. All player freedom one update after the next

Calm down. You're overreacting. We have already seen people switching weapons in the middle of strikes and in pvp. Most likely it is new a modifier for stuff like Nightfall.
-
I'd be surprised if this applied to anything more than raids (and perhaps trials if it's going to be a pvp thing also). I see some potential in the idea as it means there will be more clearly defined roles for each player.

5 AntwortenHaha! Me, being the intellectual I am, when I heard that he said "In some activities, your loadout will be locked", I knew immediately that he meant ALL activities! Haha you're all sheep and ignorant to all the finest details! Hopefully Mom microwaves fish sticks for me for dinner!

Bearbeitet von Banana: 7/7/2017 1:59:12 AMSome activities, like hard mode raids and trials and stuff probably, not everything.
Please no tards
I think it'll make end game more interesting. Having to carefully choose what you bring with you to a fight and coordinate roles before a raid sound a lot more fun than just going in and doing whatever. Same thing for PvP to a degree.

It's just that you can't switch once you've entered. Just have different load outs for each character. Not a big deal. Who's reporting this as a travesty, Fox News?????

Someone at bungie must be working for Russia as a spy while secretly trying to undermine the game and community by heading detrimental nerfs to the game!

Probably going to be a modifier don't get your panties in a twist

Making me think they're trying to make Halo 6

Not all activities, but some activities
-
Honestly once I start an activity I don't normally switch up my loadout anyways Obviously with the raids that's a different story (touch of malice) Also I think the key word here is "some" activities will have locked in loadouts As always I recommend waiting until we KNOW before we assemble the lynch mob...

He will definitely have to expand on the comment and the sooner the better. To me it depends on how you look at it. I consider my "loadout" as everything in my current inventory, not what's currently equipped. Meaning, in my opinion, in these instances I can changes guns but not add or take away from my inventory. There's other ways to look at it for sure. Here's how I'm looking at it. If it's something like ranked or competitive pvp then that's fine. Keeps the players on a equal playing field. Everyone has the same set of guns to choose from and this is good for skilled based action. Weapons would rotate weekly and what not. Also for the causal player that's really good at pvp but doesn't have time to grind for a certain weapon, this is good for keeping them competitive with players who can grind for hours and have everything. For pve I'd be okay with it if it's a weekly challenge, beat this strike or mission with this set of guns for specific loot. Or I know they aren't referring to it as the darkness, but say in boss encounters or darkness zones , you can't use dim or the bungie app to bring in a gun you forgot to pick up before you started. Once you enter this certain area you loss communication with everyone and everything, no transferring weapons mid fight to give you the upper hand. That would be ok if they make it make sense story wise. If they make it to where our loot doesn't matter a ton of us, myself included will lose interest really quick and the replayability will suck.

Didn't Luke Smith say, "SOME of those activities will be load out locked"? To me it sounds like it could be a modifier for a Nightfall or strike. Or it could actually mean every single aspect of the game is load out locked like some of you are anticipating. Either way, I'll be waiting for some actual factual information before I drown in speculation. "Stay" Classy Guardians

19 AntwortenStop spreading bullshit. The load out lock out is only for one PvP game mode.
-
Ugh, totally agree, this I'd definitely a different game, but, they might change the loadout feature
-
Maybe just don't buy it?

Of everyone in your post the only thing that matters is that you're actually complaining that the grimoire is gone. For 3 years people have complained about the grimoire existing and the lore not being in game.
-
2 Antworten
He never really implied that you can't change your load out per say.... Restrictions could mean Nightfall Hand cannon only No snipers No shotgun Etc.... it may not necessarily mean you can't change a load out after you start. Just a thought since every one seems to be freaking out

He said in 'some'. So how about we wait and see when this is really the case.

Bearbeitet von zNapSack: 7/7/2017 1:06:39 AM
Loadouts will now be locked in activities without the option to switch.
I believe he said "Loadouts will be locked in some activities". Hence, the expression 'Run What Ya Brung' (RWYB) which doesn't apply only to vehicles.
-
20 AntwortenSomeone needs to go back and look up the definition of some when he stated "some activities".
-
12 AntwortenHe said SOME activities would have locked loadouts. Personally I am very interested in this idea and how far it goes. It adds a level of planning/strategy that was not there in destiny 1. All I want is time to adjust loadouts after the strike or PvP map is known.

This forum is slowly becoming the anti-Destiny Reddit and not in a good way. By that I mean EVERYTHING is getting spun into a negative perspective and people act like no good is going to come out of Destiny 2. Also, in the future, please don't leave out parts of what people said because it clearly shows your bias.

I think you'll just have to go to orbit to change you Loadouts

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Squirrels, Kell of Acorns: 7/6/2017 11:47:51 PMIt would be interesting if loadouts get locked in Raids. While that would add an interesting level of planning ahead to the activity it could also become hell for those wanting to lfg. If the raid is most efficiently completed with three of X power weapons and Y of another power weapon then the lfg posts will be terribly reminiscent of the "crota ; must have ghorn." I know that will always be a continuous issue; I know you can just post your own lfg, but it's the general image that "lfg is just elitism" that Bungie would once again further promoting. Loadout locks, my guess, will be more oriented towards pvp if not most likely in the Trials of the Nine. Edit: it would also be very odd in a raid to get a weapon drop and be unable to equip it and use it in likely the very activity it was designed for...

Ugh. Comprehension is hard. Muted.
