Lol a video on the vision of destiny and another slide in from Luke. Loadouts will now be locked in activities without the option to switch. Add this to all weapons having static loadouts, no grimoire, 4 man PvP. This should be called destiny 0.5. Instead of adding to the game they just ripping it apart. All player freedom one update after the next

It's a modifier.

3 AntwortenI see people saying that locked loadouts aren't a big deal but how exactly will this work for the raid? Will you be limited to the same loadout for the entire raid or will you be able to switch once per boss checkpoint? I don't know of many people who use the same loadout for every stage of CE, VoG, KF, or WoTM. I'm sorry but it really would suck to be limited to the same 3 weapons for an entire raid. Locked loadouts for a nightfall doesn't worry me as much as it does for a raid. Just my opinion, guess we'll have to wait until the game launches to learn the specifics.

10 AntwortenWow, ANY locked loadouts would be in my opinion, foolish. I'm an avid Destiny fan and really look forward to destiny 2 but, honestly Destiny 2 is looking like a game that I don't think I'll enjoy. But, I can't change it, so I either have 2 options, buy it and see how it goes or move on to another game. Needless to say I'm disappointed in this. Pvp I didn't care about, switching weapon slots I didn't care about, but locked loadouts, I'm not liking this.
-
3 AntwortenIt's only certain activities, we don't even know which ones they are, and there's about a 0% chance it would be in things like raids. Nothing to see here.
-
Only "some" activities will have a locked loadout. Its something different and it could be interesting as well as challenging in some activities. For those who like a challenge.
-
12 AntwortenHe did not say it would apply to all activities, only certain ones... You've taken the statement way out of context, buddy. You must have a hidden agenda with the tone of your post.
-
Don't leave out the detail that you don't know what activity that it's going to be. If I had to guess it's designed for competitive pvp which I'm fine with anything beyond that and it gets to be a bit much.
-
There are only loadout locks for some activities. I would guess hard mode raid encounters might be one example. But that's not for everything
-
Hopefully it's just a strike mod
-
Loadouts will now be locked in activities without the option to switch
You are making it sound like this affects all activities which is not what he said at all. How about we wait to get more info and actually see what they have in mind with this before bringing out the pitchforks?

7 AntwortenThe more I hear about Destiny 2 the less I want to play it.
-
So what you mean to say is PvP ruined Destiny 1 and 2?
-
2 AntwortenWhy so many retards are angry? Nearly everyone of yous are using either handcanon/sniper or handcanon/sidearm. That there is a locked load out.

Bearbeitet von SuggestedPigeon: 7/7/2017 12:37:31 AMAt best you have a real inconvenience to players rather than a challenge. Most people are going to probably run a scout/handcannon loadout in pve then either a sniper or rocket launcher. Other than burns which are currently announced before you start an activity, why would you want to change your loadout? By extension other than to be annoying what challenge would locking a loadout provide? The only challenge I can see is for going into content blind. Which would just mean "ok so this boss fight is way too cqc to use a sniper or rocket launcher effectively let's go to orbit, equip shotguns, and redo everything like it's Y1 nightfall. Great." Then for every iteration of that content afterward you just go "oh it's ____, better equip a shotgun or I'm gonna get screwed again!" So it loses all value after the first time through an experience which it's only purpose is to spoil it by making you go back to orbit if your loadout is too bad to complete the activity. Fun. If this is a PvP thing let me tell you all the ways this is a disaster. Playing trials and you're playing long range but the enemy team is bum rushing and overpowering you before you can get into position? Well too bad you can't adapt. Just take your pounding. Are you playing rush but it's not working? Well now you have to play cautious with cqc weapons for the rest of the game. If it's a raid then I'm just gonna say no. One loadout through at least three or four encounters with different mechanics and hopefully different playstyles? How about no? It seems to push for a "one loadout only, no expanding your playstyle or get punished" which I thought they were trying to get rid of when they systematically removed the fatrbringer/black hammer/gjallarhorn loadout. Where are the positives to this? I can't find them?

Don't worry. Bungie will sell some of it back to you in DLC1 and the rest in DLC2.
-
2 AntwortenYear 1 - Bungie PVE contents are too hard!!!! Year 2,3 - Bungie PVE contents too easy!!!! Bungie - Here ya go new modifications to make it more difficult. Community - Lol Bungie is ruining variety again. Bungie - (._.)
-
10 Antwortenhow they implement this will either make or break the game. Raids would be disastrous, you need weapon variety.
-
More reason D2 is going to suck. Destiny 1 is already sounding like it's going to be the best of all the sequels/games.
-
I would think it would either be 1) certain game modes will lock your load outs to encourage planning with a fire team or to handicap you to give a greater challenge 2) game modes will be introduced like halo, where everybody gets the same load out, thus being called a "locked" loadout

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Celoxamortis: 7/6/2017 6:39:04 PMLocked loadouts sound like an interesting idea but it reminds me of the year one Gjallarhorn issue where a whole lot of the Destiny playing community blocked people out of content if they didn't have a Gally. "Need one more for Crota, must have Gally. No Gally, GTFO!" With weapons having fixed perks, as soon as the community realizes that weapon Z makes locked loadout encounter A easier, that weapon will become required. Not really feeling this decision because anyone who has played from the beginning knows how this community latched on to whichever guns made encounters easier then started pushing people away if they didn't have those weapons. Plus, what's the point of having increased loot and more loot drops if you're just going to tell people that for certain activities all of the gear they've played to acquire is locked off?

Can someone tell me if they know exactly what the locked loadouts means for D2? Cause the way i see it, it could mean one of a few things. 1) what you enter a game with is what your stuck with until the end of the game. 2) certain guns are locked. For example, not allowed to use a sniper on a certain map. Or maybe certain exotics being locked out/in. That kinda stuff. 3) they are introducing loadouts. Like how call of duty and what not has it so that you can edit a load out and when you go into a game, you can no longer edit it. But you can swap between load outs. That kinda thing. If its options 2 and/or 3, i actually think that would be cool. Option three is just nifty, having preset loadouts i can just swap to quickly. If its option one though..... Why....? That just sounds really annoying...
-
I mean, realistically, you're not going to be able to carry 27 extra weapons and 9 spare armors into battle with you and change whenever you want to.
-
1 AntwortenIt kinda makes sense if we don't have the old vaults. Even though Tyra Karn can decrypt engrams, she isn't a cryptologist like the ones from the reef. Some of our Cryptarch's knowledge could've been lost in the Cabal attack. In-game lore aside though, it just seems like BS we have locked load-outs.

This is not something to be angry about, honestly it is awesome. I looked forward to this for a long time

8 AntwortenI've been wanting this for awhile, awesome.
