Weapon Perks in Destiny 2
According to following Mashable article http://mashable.com/2017/06/29/destiny-2-loot-grind/#V1ogUbMSVgqy Destiny 2 is taking away another big feature from Destiny. Weapon Perks.
This is another major step just for the sake of PVP and PVE players are hit again by this terrible decision. Destiny is a looter game , there is a reason players played this game for that long. We loved the excitement of seeing god roll drops and firing them on PVE.
Yet for the sake of PVP balance this is gone too.
I really have no idea what the hack is Bungie doing.
But i seriously hope them to come clean and explain until how much further they want to push this game to turn into a PVP game only ?
When will you seriously stop ?

6 AntwortenOnce again someone overreacting about something in article without fully reading it or understanding. 1. Perks are being removed from weapons. Perks are now set like those on raid weapons. 2. This change doesn't effect pve in negative way at all. 3. They are doing what you asked for, that nerf aren't sweeper across a whole weapon class for the sake of one weapon. 4. All the changes were made simply for the casual gamer not because of a game mode.

The writing has been on the wall for awhile now if you cared to pay attention. First there is the fact that they want to move Destiny into the competitive E sports. Hence the the move to opening the game to the PC crowd Next comes the homogenization of weapons and the perks. Abilities,supers and skills all for the sake of pvp balancing. Basically COD in space. Knowing this then none of these changes should come as any surprise. If you are looking for original or unique then start shopping for single player games to play. It is only in that shrinking genres will you find original ideas,stories,concepts and gameplay. Everything else coming out is sadly gaming version of fast food. Fast,casual easily ingested by the masses and utterly void of taste.

Normally I would be pissed with bungie for copping out like this so that balance is easier (like with the subclasses, I'm still pissed.) but in this case, I think that if each one is hand crafted, it is [i]less[/i] likely to be trash (but this is a little optimistic because it is bungo) but also, hopefully there will be so many guns in the game that most people who have reached the endgame still haven't seen a big portion of the armory, just so that the sense of wonder isn't lost. For this change I'm staying optimistic. [spoiler]seriously tho, -blam!- bungie for the new subclasses. I'm still mad. Even tho the agh of the warrior looks -blam!-ing awesome. (bungo I still love you but this was a bad move.) [/spoiler]

Knowing when you get the weapon you've been grinding for that it actually be the weapon you want is nothing but upside imo. Btw others have pointed this out, but it's worth saying again: weapon perks aren't being removed. They're just being fixed.

13 AntwortenSorry but this is something I actually like. I don't like endlessly grinding for gear. That was the problem with Destiny. The game was based on a lottery mechanic instead of quality built content that was fun to play. The more RNG they take out the better the game will be IMO.

In Y2/Y3, Bungie has nerfed both the loot AND the grind. This lastest news about D2 is just taking one step further towards the game becoming your standard FPS Arena Shooter.

It is just one known known amongst a sea of unknowns at this point. And they have repeatedly mentioned changes will be coming on various fronts, some of them even planned within the launch window. I get people being cautious, even apprehensive, about change... it is human nature to be resistant to change. But could we please tone down some of the melodrama and try to think a bit more rationally once in a while?

A change you can thank the community right here for. Even now people are whining and crying for nerfs of guns because of certain combos of perk rolls that can happen through RNG. Don't blame bungie, they are just giving you what the vociferous have demanded.

8 AntwortenMuch like Borderlands 2, DESTINY IS A LOOTER SHOOTER. Shoot stuff get loot, shoot stuff grind for that perfect gun. Take away the loot and you got an average shooter with a really bad story. Also taking away choice on the sub class skill trees as well. Sounding like D2 is shaping up to be the perfect mess. Maybe I should skip it and wait for anthem?

3 AntwortenSo, what will they add to game to make us play then? Probably story will last max 2 days, strikes become boring after 2 weeks, raid will last for a month. Original Bungie did a great game and this new Bungievision -blam!-ed it.
