Im no game developer, i dont know how this would affect the game. But if snipers are going to be in the power weapon slot, i think they should one shot body shot in pvp. Tell me if im wrong but they need to compete with the likes of rocket launchers and whatnot
Edit: i havent uses any of the power weapons yet, but all im saying is snipers might be outclassed. But we will have to wait and see
Second edit: idk if heavy weapons are being powered down or special weapons powered up, i also dont know how often power ammo will spawn. Just i really suck with snipers. I dont wanna suck with snipers. Im a hunter goddamnit.
AIGHT 3RD EDIT: i see yalls points im just wondering how they are gonna balance it

5 Antworten
Tell me if im wrong
You're wrong. Lol, sorry I had to do it. Snipers would be extremely over powered if they were one shot. Even Grenade Launchers are going to be a 2 shot kill. Idk how the game is going to feel with rocket launcher ammo showing up 15 seconds into every match/round though.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von JehMarcus: 6/6/2017 3:03:57 AMI don't think they should one shot in the body in any case. Here's why: 1. It can technically one-shot from any range... in a split second. I mean this goes without saying, but you will have to headshot them, BUT you have to consider that people will be able to technically to one shot a player from ANY range, and that's not removed from the game. 2. If you make it a one-shot in the body, that would lower the skill gap. I don't know about you (and you don't have to agree with me) but I rather be killed by a shotgunner who decides to b-line straight for me rather than a sniper who just has to aim in the general area of where I am and bodyshot me. Just not my cup of tea. 3. If you saw the gameplay at the reveal, you can see you get more sniper/shotgun ammo compared to rocket/grenade launcher. You can one shot a player with a rocket or a launcher (I assume), but you only get limited ammo with it, so less opportunities to get kills, while snipers will look like it will get a full mag and a bit, so even if you miss or land a body shot, you can make up for it knowing you will have shots. There's my thoughts, take it as you may, whether you're with me or against. Ultimately it's up to the Bungie guys to decide.

Bearbeitet von GodOfRandom: 6/6/2017 11:42:24 PMTitanfall 2 brought the Kraber up to first sniper unlock AND bumped it to a one-hit kill anywhere on the body. Granted the projectile speed is A LOT slower and almost Battlefield-esque, but it works. From what I can tell, it doesn't break the game, especially since assault (auto) rifles are actually viable in that game. I understand that they're two different beasts, but there's ways to make it work.

Um.... no.... Rockets = noskilleasykill but you only get 1 rocket. Snipers = takes skill to land shots but more ammo is more killing potential. It's all about ammo. You either give yourself a pretty much guaranteed kill with a rocket but you only get 1. Give yourself a sniper and you can get many more kills but at a much higher risk

1 AntwortenLooks like we found the final round scrubs of year 1

I read somewhere that most D2 snipers will require 3 body shots for a kill. They will still be a one head shot kill, but that double body will be no-more. If true that's fine with me, a skill weapon should reward for skill.
-
Agreed if you move it to the power slot everything in that slot should one shot any point on a guardian. OP maybe so but don't put that shit in a power slot then.
-
I agree.... If they have decent Impact/Damage rating If they shoot like W.March, no. & I love W.March
-
Eh just drag scope to the head... destiny has enough aim assist.... one hit kills are quite easy and satisfying.

1 AntwortenThey need to compete with rockets? Didn't they say that rockets are only going to get 1 shell? If that's the case then I doubt many will use a rocket when snipers give you like 6 shots. Snipers body shot killing is too casual and ruins the flow of the game even if it's just one guy that has a sniper. This is coming from a sniper main.

Shotguns need D1 Vanilla range

1 AntwortenNo, that defeats the purpose of it. It's a ranged weapon that's meant to pick people off at a good distance, since hand cannons, scouts, shotguns, grenade launchers, and possibly rockets can't do this...why should they be made better? If it insta kills that pesky rat across the map without requiring headshots...how do you think people would feel? It ALREADY pisses people off that they are being domed so easily...imagine the absolute HATE

I agree but it should be chest up one shot.

That's a good way to get snipers nerfed.

3 Antwortenummm yeah how about you delete this app and keep your cancerous comments to yourself okay cool thanks

I'm more so hoping for different types of snipers. So, fast-shooting ones, heavy snipers, multi-shot, etc. That would make it more than worth it for me.

37 AntwortenBearbeitet von Angus: 6/6/2017 4:25:29 AMSnipers are almost guaranteed to one shot body. If a weapon like a rocket launcher could one shot from a distance away, a more skill-required weapon like a sniper should also.
-
That would just lead to an incredible lack of weapon variety.

1 AntwortenPower Ammo spawns like every....I wanna say 10-20-maybe 30 seconds.

1 AntwortenYou're wrong.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Casual: 6/6/2017 1:43:05 AMThat would be like 7 guaranteed kills every time you pick up ammo haha
-
Think of it this way. More ammo, can net you more kills. However may be harder to pull off compared other weapons. I doubt we'd get as many rockets as we do now, just for balance.
-
1 AntwortenNo way. That would be way too strong.
-
15 AntwortenHaha, no. They will drop enemy players to minimal health with one body shot. The only way you will get a one-shot kill is through the head, like every other game with snipers.
