I own a PS4 and like it, but it's not nearly as good of an experience as my XB1. -unintuitive UI/overall bad UI -no real customization beyond theme, no pins etc. -uncomfortable controllers -PS Plus costs the same as XBL, but offers only cheap indie games for free -exclusives mostly don't interest me -my disc drive sounded like a chainsaw out of the box, told by Support it was normal -Sony is way behind on player interest; bad mod support, only just recently got external storage support etc.

Hey man, good for you, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, PS4 is a true gaming console and it looks, feels and handles like a proper games console should. It also doesn't take up half your room like an Xbox, doesn't cost half as much as a decent PC, the only thing I don't enjoy is having to pay for PSN, but Xbox users have been doing that since last gen lol. I have been raised with all the Playstation consoles since 1, and this one I think has been the best improvement out of all of them. I am glad I got one, and I hope they have a future as bright as their setup phase.

I appreciate that it tries to offer me something worth playing.

I bought a ps4 for horizon zero dawn. Now I'm waiting for another exclusive. Imo psn gives shit away. Xbone gives us 4 free games every month. (48 free games every year) I also feel sooooo very comfortable with the xbone. Highly responsive ui (ps4 sometimes hangs, loading symbols spin) Ps4 is an amazing, well built machine........but it's no xbone.

I've only had my PS4 since last Christmas, and I have had more technical issues with it than I have my 2 Xbones.

I enjoy my PS4 a bunch as well but Sony is a bitch with my credit card info.

Psn sucks, and one has to pay for it, ps+ titles soften the blow lil' bit, but i'd rather not. All exclusives are 3rd person action adventures running at 30 or below fps, except killzone/resistance, which are probably done for.[spoiler]would actually like to have collections of them both, cause never played (kz, res)[/spoiler] So no, i'm not pleased, but it'll have to do for now, cause i need my nhl fix sometimes.

Why is being a fan so frowned upon in the gaming community? Every aspect of entertainment (film, tv, sports, etc) has it's fans, superfans, critics, supporters and denouncers. But only in gameing do the practitioners, the gamers themselves, hate so hard on other fans of the industry.
