Cmon bungie, destiny 2 NEEDS dedicated servers. The lag caused by peer to peer has been a constant issue since day one, and this is the only solution.

4 AntwortenAt least in Australia, there isn't many Players in Aus compared to the Northern Hemisphere and the internet is rubbish here so wtf host has the "best" connection but their connection is awful anyway so the game is even worse... P2P doesn't work, Titanfall 2 does it properly but there's more than Sydney, put one in Perth or Adelaide too, and if there is servers in D2, I shouldn't have to connect to America or Europe servers to play a game, (looking at you Free to play Online and MMO games) Australia exists you know! :(

1 AntwortenP2p is not the problem. It's the people with shitty internet that's the problem

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von HyperVigiIant: 4/9/2017 9:43:52 AMBased on their decision with Destiny 1, Bungie are too stubborn and cheap to pay for dedicated servers in multiple regions. http://twvideo01.ubm-us.net/o1/vault/gdc2015/presentations/Truman_Justin_Shared_World_Shooter.pdf - page 53

1 AntwortenEven with dedicated servers people will still find ways to red bar and teleport around the map. There are to many people that make them self's red bar on purpose. It's the same on every online shooter. People use to lag switch on socom on ps2 ps3 just to have an advantage over honest players.

4 AntwortenI won't be buying Destiny 2 if it's not on servers I can guarantee you that
-
1 AntwortenI prefer peer to beer
-
4 AntwortenEspecially in PC. Modders will demolish the game on PC with P2P.
-
9 AntwortenWhen will you people learn to stop asking for this? Seriously if they didn't do it in any of their Halo games why do you they'll do it in Destiny?
-
5 AntwortenBearbeitet von GuardianzofWar: 4/8/2017 12:30:41 AMIf you aren't sick of it by now(especially in this game when a bad connection gives you God mode)you should go ahead and drink bleach lol. Now if you can show me why a P2P system would be better than dedicated servers I'll retract my statement. That's how sure I am I won't be getting any counter arguement towards having P2P over dedicated servers
-
10 AntwortenWon't happen on a Activision game.
-
4 AntwortenAll these posts about red bar warriors... I wish it's what I would get just occasionally, but alas it's not! When I red bar it's the extreme opposite, -I can't kill anybody because they won't take damage of any kind -I die to 1-2 shots from almost everything - sometimes I die to weapons, abilities, supers that are not even on my side of the map Thats just the 3 major issues I go thru, it's really frustrating at times where I'll have to turn it off and just play Madden instead.

WHOEVER'S DEFENDING P2P ARE ON BUNGUR PAYROLL which means there will be no dedicated servers pretty much
-
It's good for downloading movies 👍
-
Pay for dedicated servers? Activision? Never...
-
After playing a bunch of TF2 then going back to Destiny for some PvP recently. God yes, it's terrible. Dedicated servers = a must for D2.
-
No you're not, because a shit load of you already pre ordered knowing p2p will still be in D2. Theyll get it right come D4 dont worry.
-
1 AntwortenDestiny 2 will be peer to peer.
-
I'm not sure if it's possible but i imagine if i look through the replies there are probably a few *special* sweasticles that are defending p2p pvp. Now I'm gonna look and hope I'm wrong. There is no question that even within the first 30 days of this game that they were deep in the black (profits, accounting forALL expenses) There is also not a single upside to p2p. None. At all. No joke. I don't pvp but even as a clinical engineer i am able to understand what p2p is, why a dev would use it, and personally see the crushing downsides to it.. I hope that they invest in more storage space for vaults (very easy, VERY inexpensive)amd for you pvp "gods" i hope y'all get to enjoy what every other AAA title has: dedicated servers. Also, last one, 100% separation between pve and pvp stat wise. Perks abilities ammi capacity, you name it

been tired of P2P when pc gaming figured out dedicated servers back in the friggen 90's

Just about everyone is sick of the p2p setup. I actually had luck this morning until about 1pm EST then redbars came out of the woodwork, I'm assuming a lot of it was college kids in their dorms. Considering what college costs you'd think they'd have good net for students.

6 AntwortenI'm OK with p2p but the way destiny does it is wonky as hell PvP in this game feels so laggy. Even when I pick up the sword on Crota there's a good second delay. And I'm green, everyone is green, I'm at 50 down, 5 up. But I hit square on the sword and run past it, take a jump, then it's in my hand. In pvp, every single game I die to something that's lag related. I melee a guy first, he dies, then I get melee by him and die too. Or I run behind a wall, and a good second later I get headshot by a guy when my orb is well behind that wall. Its beyond frustrating.

People been saying this since the days oh Halo. Nothing has changed.
-
1 AntwortenDedicated servers help a lot in Halo 5, but they're STILL not a perfect solution. I still have occasions where I will rubberwall or rebound. It's far less often than when I played Destiny, but nothing will EVER be perfect.
-
Still better than gears of war host connection
-
3 AntwortenI thought it was "pier to pier". Hmmm, weird.
