Here is a suggestion for Destiny 2 that I think is reasonable, and adds for a little more customization. I purpose that two little ornament nodes are added to all class items. The first one determines if the class item is affected by a shader. The second one is class specific. Hunters can choose to have their hoods up or down on their cloaks. Warlocks can toggle special effects on their bonds, like fire or holograms. And Titans can choose to have more ammo magazines/grenades visible on their belt near where their mark is. Just a thought.
