If rumors and speculations turn out to be true, this upcoming update can tell us a few things about the future of the Destiny franchise, more specifically, the Destiny sequel, and they are not very good. Why are people happy? If this update is about reskins and rehashed year 1 content, then how is this good for Destiny? If the last thing Bungie gives us before the sequel is just rehashed content, why should we believe that Destiny 2 will be any different? Why should we believe that creativity and original design will improve in Destiny 2? So sad that people easily fall for the hype and fail to see the big picture.

2 Antworten
Reduce ♻️ Reuse ♻️ Recycle ♻️
-Bumgie's Motto Reduce: To Nerf, to "balance" Reuse: Here's the theory of "Record Book" Recycle: Now here is the stuff you already did- just brought up to date. Nice job here Bungie! At least you gave the community what they wanted! It is NOT YOUR FAULT. It is OUR FAULT for constantly requesting old raids to he brought up to date. We didn't constantly ask for new content apparently.
Bungie listens to us, SO, D2 will follow the same path.
I'm sure it will be. I'd be very surprised if most of Destiny "2" isn't the exact same areas. I'll be surprised if it's even a whole new game and not something that could've just been another expansion
-
I think they are saving tons of original content for D2. We asked them to bring back the old raids. They're doing it in a cool and nostalgic way. I for one think it is AWESOME.
-
Yep I've said this for months...
-
5 AntwortenWhy would I bother completing any triumphs when whatever the reward is wont carry over to D2?
-
Oh Shit, you figured it out! I can't believe nobody thought of this! Everybody go home, we're done. All of Bungie was working on moments of Triumph and that means D2 is doomed.
-
You're going to buy destiny 2 anyways...The game is old, and you've got your money's worth out of it I'm sure. Just relax, and wait to buy the game, like you're going to anyways.
-
I'm pretty sure they made year 1 irrelevant just so they could bring it back late in the game as a revolutionary update.

Bearbeitet von ClovenTrack620: 3/8/2017 2:27:56 AMi knew they would pull something like this, im not even mad , i never expected them to actually create anything new at this point, cause according to deej , almost all the staff is "BUSY" working on d2 ,
-
I mean, do you honestly expect them to deliver a bunch of brand-new free content to destiny 1 while most of the company is working on destiny 2? Be realistic.
-
Yup, LOL thank you so much bungie for a book that tracks all the same shit I've done a million times!!!!! So grateful for all the updates stating next update they are going to update you about the newest update that will be sometime with in the next 160 days cause it's so vigorously tested by the sand box team, kinda like the last one with glaring errors....fan boys...

Anyone who possibly thought we would get new content between now and D2 must be smoking something. If so please share because God forbid I just don't understand the lack of thought process behind this mentality. Seriously, if you expected anything else beyond all the old stuff coming back for this update you are on another level. For almost 2 years the community asked for old to be relevant again. Possibly, most likely bungie is going to deliver. Is it too little too late? Maybe? Personally, let them focus on D2, so that we may enjoy D1 and end it with everything being on par with current light levels. HoW Era was the pinnacle of D1 because people chased the elusive ghorn and we had 2 raids plus POE, which were all relevant at the time for many reasons. Nightfalls actually mattered also. Imagine every raid, POE, CoE, all dropping current light level stuff. Bring back those glorious raid weapons, hopefully with their respective burns, and all the armor sets. Plus the book!!! Maybe not all of you will enjoy this, but I say let them focus on D2 content and let us just be happy with what we are getting. Besides, there are a slew if good games that just came out, as well as some that will be out soon. Enjoy those as well between now and D2.
-
It's because it's been what people wanted for the past two years.
-
I wait till what i see in that book before i answer you.
-
The last thing they give us is access to all content in the game at the current light level. That would wrap up D1 perfectly IMO. I had a lot of fun playing D1, more than any other game I've played, and I will be buying D2 no matter how much the whiners post on the forums that we shouldn't. Don't buy it then play something else that you will enjoy.

This is simply a capstone of the first installment of the game. Who really wants them to keep creating new content for Destiny 1. It's pretty obvious they are putting 99% of the work into Destiny 2 and that's the way it should be. To me it shows they care about this game we love. They are throwing us all one last bone to send it off with respect.

Bearbeitet von SweetZombieJesus: 3/7/2017 9:36:37 PMI'll tell you why... Rehashed content = they weren't wasting their time making crap content for D1, dragging out its lifespan. They've put the money and the people behind the sequal. Not giving us Skolboss the Sad in a new and exciting Strike, with new and exciting weapons, and new and exciting NPC's to tantalise our gaming needs! Nope. We're over here working asshats... Here's Vault of Glass with a shiny hat. Seems legit to me. But, hey... By all means start assuming and believe that somehow cynicism is truth... That turned out well for everyone before launch day a few years ago...

1 AntwortenYou are missing the point. You are still playing Destiny One. I think bringing old raids current for the last grind is a great send off to welcome a brand new Destiny.
-
Maybe bringing up Y1 content to current LL isn't just for the Y1 players. Maybe it's also about making Y1 content relevant for those who are just getting into the game.
-
Just don't buy the new update if you don't think you will like it.
-
I absolutely love playing the same stuff over that i already played tons of times prior! Thanks bungie i now know i wont be playing d1 ever again

Bearbeitet von KayOsS882: 3/7/2017 8:33:10 PMWhy release brand new content when destiny 2 is coming out this year? Don't make any logical sense. I bet I'll see you on lfg trying to get a team together. I bet you're going to rant about people not knowing how to do vog. I bet you then going to complain about no new content.
-
Bearbeitet von dance4carrot: 3/7/2017 8:23:51 PMI see exactly what you are saying. I don't like feeling that I am being played. Most my mates will come back for D2 but I will have to leave it behind. I'll play some free dlc though.

11 AntwortenThe community ask for old raids The community get old raids The community whine that it is recycled Bungie give up and become depressed Hence the state destiny is in now
-
1 AntwortenBecause most of the company is focused on making D2 right now, and they don't HAVE to give you ANYTHING before the next game. No one in their right mind would expect BRAND NEW CONTENT from a 2 and a half year old game just 6 months before its sequel releases. If you do, you have no concept of what it takes to make a game.
