One extra pro for physical copy is they're nearly half the price of a digital copy.

1 AntwortenPersonally, I like physical because I can sell it if I no longer want it. There's also that new game smell....
its not that weird, is it?
Bearbeitet von Killer_Turtle022: 3/10/2017 6:37:06 AMI used to always get physical but I always get digital now, here's why: •I don't have to leave home on release day to pick up a copy of the new game (lazy reason I know 🙂) •Digital games are predownloaded meaning they'll download a couple days before the game is released so you can start the second the game is released •Never have to worry about scratches/damage/misplacing the disc •If something happens to my console I can just get a new one and get the game for free with all the save data cause it's in my account's library •If I wanna play a different game I can just quit the application and start playing a different game without having to switch discs and risk damaging them •Digital games often go on sale before their physical copies do

Digital I don't sell games that much anymore and digital is more convenient. No longer gotta wait in a line with some badass kids in the store. I own it forever (even if your account is hacked you can always recover it). Can't get damaged or scratched Can delete it then redownload it later
-
I usually do a mix, although i prefer physical copies. I would mention download speed (at least on xbox) in the pros and cons, as a disc can download in half the time as a digital copy.
-
I have a massive hard drive and I lose discs. A lot. Digital makes more sense for me since I never really sell games. I just let them sit for awhile and then go back to them
-
I prefer physical but digital isnt bad.
It goes with you anywhere. Any console/PC. Your account always owns it.
True but you have to re-download it on the other system/pc so not really different than installing off a disk.
-
Physical copies for me. There's nothing quite like the aroma of a freshly unsealed new game.
-
I prefer discs just because I love the art on the cases and the feeling of anticipation I get everytime I open the case, put in the disc, and wait for my game to load up.
-
Digital is better for me on console and pc. Kids used to borrow games, now the grandkids come over. I don't have worry about discs getting scratched, not being put up in the right cases....and so on. I don't need multiple discs if more than one is playing the same game. I save space not having to store physical copies....which helps since I still have Atari cartridges in storage.

I enjoy not having to get up and switch disks to switch games
-
Digital download cards.

Digital for me minus Borderlands Handsome Collection
-
2 AntwortenI'm almost entirely digital on my PS4, just for ease of access. Though I have made a couple bad purchases that I can't refund.
-
I prefer physical. However since my 2 year old borked the disc drive on my XB1 by shoving coins into it, I dont have a choice. Surprised it still works at all to be fair. Its a day 1 edition. Surely its going to break soon...?
-
Digital is more quiet and you don't have to put in a disc, but I enjoy showing off my collection... dunno
-
The last few games I bought have been digital, but I will always prefer physical if only for the simple fact I can get rid of it.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Deuce756: 3/6/2017 6:34:10 PMI prefer physical copies on just the artwork of the case and disk alone. Now if those physical copies come with a nice manual I'm all for it.
-
I prefer physical discs for all the reasons op stated and one more I factor: With physical discs you can download the majority of a games size offline. With as large of games we've had, this is a great thing
-
Just saying, you can dish out 3 dollars more and get disc coverage if you got it at gamestop.
-
Whilst I love having a few shelves of games to pick and choose from (or just gaze at lovingly), this gen I've mostly been buying DD firstly because it means I can get in 7 hours before the shops open on release day, and secondly so I don't have to get up to change disk.
-
Depends I'll go digital on most things, but if there a special edition that has bonus physical items but the same price as on digital, then I'll go pick up the physical edition, that's what I've done with halo and destiny. Most other games I have are digital.
-
2 AntwortenI prefer digital 2 copies for the price of one and I just select whatever game I want to play and go. I don't sell my old games so being able to trade them in is a non-factor for me.
-
1 AntwortenI prefer physical.
-
I used to be all physical media and traded discs through Goozex. Then Goozex died and Microsoft started selling digital games for cheap on Xbox 360. Now I have a 2TB PS4 and a ton of games I picked up for cheap during flash sales.
-
I always prefer physical copy but I will buy digital if they have a better bundle (Nioh) or it's just a ridiculously low price (Shadows of Mordor w/dlc 8$).
