After reading today's post by bungie I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the news. Most not all guardians don't really care what their characters look like at this point but most if not all would have loved to see their favorite and/or exclusive emblems and shaders get carried over. This news today made me feel that after 2+ years of grinding was for nothing. Love the game just wish they would revisit that idea down the road.

Same with me. I also made a post about this a second ago. For those who want to read it I'll post it here
I just don't want to lose my emblems. It signifies that you have been there since the beginning. For those who want to keep on reading. I think we should at least keep out emblems, it shows that (if you are like me) you have been playing since the beta and maybe even the alpha, I have collected all of the emblems that come with the game or on special bungie store events and even moments of triumph. It shows that you have been with the game when others have made fun of you playing it, saying the game is crap and that it is dead but you have soldiered on and kept on playing. Thanks for reading and respect my opinion.
I won my Resurrectionist emblem in a Halloween costume contest. I sure hope emblems could carry over in some way.
-
I don't care about my character face cause I never see it. I want emblems cause that is something I do see

4 AntwortenWhat impresses me is how many people shelled out real money for store-exclusive emblems only for Bungie to render them totally irrelevant in Destiny 2. Then Bungie will release more little toys, pins, and other trinkets for people to pay for and get exclusive Destiny 2 emblems. Nothing short of genius.
-
I for 1 am all for a fresh start. Honestly I hope it's account based for the stuff they give us to commemorate D1. I'd love to make a whole new character from scratch but still be able to show I've been around since the beginning.

4 AntwortenWhy can't they just define what they mean when they say possessions. That post was way too vague and that has been really the only thing that has upset me about Bungie lately. Being so vague is cool when you're a 12 year old edge lord or someone who loves to speculate, but for the rest of us we need something more specific.
-
If possessions include emblems what's the reason to finish the record book now? Most of us, if not all, wants to keep our emblems and ships and probably shaders to. They don't effect game play so they should be a must to transfer to Destiny sequel- riiiight Bungle? Most don't care about keeping character personalization, I mean the options have been very limited so who wants to keep that when there should be more options in Destiny 2 and if you want to create the exact same you can do that to. So come on now Bungie actually listen up!!!

Agreed, shaders and emblems. Ships would be nice too, but I'm not too concerned with those, maybe the loading screen will be different.
-
I feel the same. And all I wanted was for my emblems like beta ones etc. and shaders like blacksmith to carry over, don't care more about character levels than exclusive emblems.
-
-
They will give us rewards for our accomplishments in D1 so some may be brought over, we may get entirely new ones for all we know
-
And better shaders.
-
Don't worry they'll probably have more mircrotransactions that hold old emblems and shaders for you :D
-
Have you ever thought that maybe they have a different plan for emblems? The reason why ships will clearly not carry over is because it's a whole new engine they have and completely updated graphics, maybe even space battles in mind that old ships would simply feel out of place in. Maybe emblems and shaders have a new and different purpose for us now.
-
Sorry buddy they're staying behind. I would assume they're giving up custom emblems.
-
There are rummors about keep the grimmoire info but nothing confirmed.

This pretty much ends any "pre-order" non-sense for me. No need to do it if they won't be transferable in future Destiny games. No more micro transactions as well.
