This update made this game similar to how Halo was set up. In Halo you hardly ever got a sniper/shotgun/rockets and when those weapons were available there were only one or sometimes two in the map. If you died you lost that weapon.
Same thing with Destiny now except you get to choose what weapon you want to use also special spawns often. I'm guessing most of the kids salty are the kids that rushed with Shotgun the whole game.
Adapt.

6 AntwortenOr go play halo? You adapt.

This is not Halo.

1 AntwortenGood thing this isn't halo

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Wheelaa1: 2/19/2017 4:55:33 PMNot just the update whiners. Very few Destiny PvPers would fare well in Bungie Halo games....because they have no concept balance, map control, true power weapon advantages, and so on.... Anyone for whom this is their first FPS PvP experience....I feel a little sorry for you. Edit - just reading further replies in this thread....I've rarely seen such stupidity from so many in one place (well..these forums...shouldn't surprise me). It's clear the vast majority of you have little to no FPS PvP background or knowledge.

3 AntwortenI give a lot of people shit on here for telling us how to play, but as soon as I read
adapt
, well. My whole game changed. I suddenly started adapting and using guns I hadn't used because bungie didn't like some, so I just adapted. Changed my entire gameplay, cheers mate, because of your thought out reasoning I've gone from a 0.21 KD to a 1.9 KD. Just because I adapted. Hopefully when I do better I'll be ready for Halo. Post changed my life

I agree but in halo you didn't have sidearms that outgun primaries, this game would be perfect if u only got the spawn ammo on sidearms (17-19) and not the full reserves from last life
-
RIP shotgun blink/rush/slide. Good riddance. Now you have to actually be good and play carefully with a shotgun. Same with fusion rifles and snipers.

2 AntwortenYes, because Halo was an MMO FPS?

8 AntwortenYeah, but do you wanna know a secret? Come closer No, closer
HALO AND DESTINY ARE TWO DIFFERENT GAMES!! Also a lot of this community is younger than 15
I agree with you, but health regen perks getting nerfed along with truth was pure bullshit.

Bearbeitet von Der Todesengel: 2/19/2017 5:02:44 PMAdd in the fact that Destiny has far more aim assist and magnetism... -Der

They're more like the heavy weapons, which is an important distinction since the forums haven't been complaining about the heavy ammo economy for a while now. The only reason people run sidearms is because the rest of the specials are useless now. At this point, either Eyasluna is your style, or you don't play crucible.

Except you forget that Snipers and Shotties are power weapons. Bungie is going for that same feel probably, with Heavy Ammo stacked on top.
-
Does this mean I can equip two primaries without going into my inventory and switching them there? And I can dual wield?
-
Uh yeah, average scumbag here. Was wondering if you could stop complaining as it isn't the fact that the update has ruined me or anyone else, its the fact that Bungie's nerfs are hella annoying.
-
2 AntwortenNo matter what gets changed some Destiny fans will always find something to complain about. People just need to be patient and git gud with the new meta

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von 2Wet: 2/19/2017 4:00:07 PMThat is not why people whine. Special ammo has stayed with u for 3 YEARS now. U never lost it on upon death. Everyone is used to that but this change is massive. Halo has forever been that if u died u lost that weapon. These 2 games can't be compared.

Halo was good but seriously bro? There wasnt even a double jump. Then if you wanted to sprint you had to choose that particular loadout. We came along way from Haol. Lets not go back.
-
I liked halo as a game, but the fact is destiny and halo are very different. Halo remained mostly the same throughout the years and was more slow paced. Destiny is constantly shifting and had special for a long time which is why you see so many complaints. Personally, i feel the special shouldnt have been changed, just a buff to primaries and maybe a little reduction on flinch for regular snipers.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Impurity41: 2/19/2017 9:22:05 AMHalo wasn't "I used to be able to pick my weapons but after this update I need to get them off the ground." Halo's pvp was "pick them up" from the start. You are comparing base game halo to destiny's constant shift in the way pvp is played.
not a meta complainer. I'm just pointing out that your comparison has some holes.
1 AntwortenI like the patch outside of the "accidental" changes to health regen, but I still think that making such a change after over two years is kind of silly.
-
1 AntwortenYeah that's true but think about how many people would camp those weapons and camp with them. I don't want destiny to become camping simulation space edition
-
So true. In halo you had fair starts as well. In destiny if you follow the meta you're fine
-
Funny thing is I loved halo 3 because of sniping and just going around punching people and using dual SMG and going off with them until you run out of ammo then you go back to sniping and Punching people

Bearbeitet von Deathie: 2/19/2017 2:55:08 PMIn the old days you had to time your shots and play smart in small slow paced maps whereas now you can still just run around super evading everywhere. Having the sniper in halo meant dick if you were a bad shot.
