They're pretty much all over money. Except the Crusades maybe :P

The Christian crusades were a defensive counter attack.

No they just saw that islam was becoming popular and they wanted to sort of cleanse the land.

That's a really perverse way of looking at it. After 400 years of constant attack, and invasion, I don't think popularity was the issue.

It was growing quickly and christians felt threatened, thats all im going to say.
