They're taller and stronger, but are they smarter? They have the ability to connect their brains to the brains of others as well as learn other languages well. Could they ever become smarter than us? If their tree had never been blown up and we lived alongside them and taught them science, would they eventually find us to be savages? Discuss.

Bearbeitet von LahDsai: 2/15/2017 8:40:16 AMWhether they're "more evolved" or not is completely dependent on whether life on their planet (moon, technically) began before or after earth. All life on Earth is equally "evolved", we've just taken different paths. As for whether or not they're more 'advanced", technologically no. It also doesn't seem they gain intelligence through linking either. Direct thoughts don't seem to be shared so much as vague impressions and empathy. Sure they synch with their animals, but they still seem somewhat autonomous (and don't seem obligated to follow orders). It's less "turn left" and more "I have a feeling I want to go that way." They also don't seem to be any better at picking up language than we are. They still required teachers and even then only a few could speak relatively unbroken English. As a language teacher myself, I didn't see anything that indicated they were better at language acquisition than your average human student. Also, they'd likely stand to lose a lot by leaving their planet. If a Na'vi came to Earth it'd probably be quite distressing for then as they'd essentially be "isolated", possibly having negative psychological ramifications.
