Can't even get past 6 wins because we ALWAYS face some player who is doing a double carry. I don't care for flawless. One is enough. Just want a 7 win for the weapon per character. And I work for it. Can't we just get SBMM in the next update? Or even have Brother Vance sell a weapon at 350 light? New one per week?
Been running Meta weapons and just can't compete with those that do carries/double carries. Decent ELO but just UNBALANCED AS -blam!-!
Update the dam game Bungie. No more "3 month updates" to say "nothing is broken."
Update 1
In 3v1 situations, the one guy who plays 24/7 on a single game is the one who wins EVERY TIME! Then the horrid players t-bag and send messages like we suck...
It just encourages hate, and it gets old. I can compete and 1v3 most teams easily, but then run into that no life that streams and does double-carries. Trials is only for those that are the best of the best, but streamers are giving FREE flawless to the worse players in the game, making it harder for us that ACTUALLY put work in to get a legit flawless. I play many games, so it's a bit more difficult. I don't spend half my life playing a single game just to get flawless 15 times each weekend.
Why give the 0.7 K/D ratios free carries? They're bad at the gametype, but majority have more flawless than my actual 2 that I worked for without carries. I'm a 1.57 K/D, and have a team that works VERY WELL together! We've been flawless those 2 times together (Asylum, First Light). And that's how it should be. Introduce SBMM in this game. Those flawless carries will disappear. Why? Because pros will play against pros, trash against trash, average against average. If you have a team with a pro "attempting" to do double carries with 2 trash, you'll play against pros. Good luck with that double carry. Implement the system dammit!
Update 2
Just about had it with the negative comments. I've seen many more positives and valid arguments. Kudos to you all that have common sense and dignity. As for the rest, your comment will be ignored and removed. Just a fair warning at this point, since I'm actively watching this feed as I work on my next set.
Update 3
Been gone for some time and see the mixed arguments. Honestly, I only asked for the carries to stop. Trials is supposed to be reserved for the best of the best. I'd rather deal with 3 pros than 1 pro giving scrubs a free pass. People ask me if I want a carry, even now (inbox has over 30 messages), and I always decline. Because you can't get good at a game when someone better than you gives you a free pass. Goes for raids as well. You need everyone on your team to work together or you all fail if one quits or dies trying.
Trials is set up poorly, and has not changed since HoW DLC release in Year 1. I was not as good as I was when Trials first arrived, but as people got better, I've gotten better and have 2 flawless that I worked for myself. I'm always willing to help those that want to work for it, but not give a free pass. I've faced many streamers/pros in the past and barely scraped by. Then we face 3 scarabs on the 7th win attempt and get stomped, over and over again. If SBMM was implemented, instead of wins/losses on your card, then I'd always face someone with my skill set. SBMM would pair me with someone close or equal to my skill, as well as finding a team with similar wins/losses on each card. So on an 8-0 run, they'd find me a team with a score of 8-0 as well, and had similar skill. The match would be even and force each team to work hard to that flawless.
If you still disagree, honestly, you need to lay off Destiny for a while. You take this too seriously and obviously don't care about other's opinions and arguments other than your own. I'm standing by my opinion, and will argue in a POSITIVE WAY instead of putting you down. That is how a community stays a community. I've never had an issue with people who actively play Halo, so follow suit guys/girls.
Final Edit
I've decided to move on. I've listened to all of you, and I love the feedback. I've changed my thoughts on it all and just gonna focus on the new meta this coming Tuesday (that is if it even changes at all). I will be sure to link my next post here about how SBMM should work, as well as have a video posted. I haven't seen anything online about how SBMM should work in the way that I see fit. It's been introduced in a couple games that I've played, so it should work out in this game, either now or in Destiny 2.
Thanks for all your feedback! See you all on the battlefield fellow Guardians!

2 AntwortenI'm a 1.57 K/D, and have a team that works VERY WELL together! We've been flawless those 2 times together.'' Your K/D is pretty high for the average of trials players, and teamwork is the main thing that can lead you to the lighthouse. Probably you and your team are not that good in trials. 2 lighthouse are a poor loot for a team that ''works VERY well''.
-
I don't play trials, but I would rather go up against 1 pubstomper and 2 below average teammates than 3 pubstompers.
-
2 AntwortenSo what, you'd rather have those people running stacked, with all 3 3.5 kd players instead of just one? Also, if you're constantly losing to ONE player you are simply terrible at the game and don't deserve the lighthouse or 7 wins for that matter.

lol if you cant beat a double carry, you dont deserve the weapon. nuff said

Bearbeitet von Daedalus: 2/8/2017 6:18:42 PMBalance isn't the issue it's experience. Now if people are beating you because of lag that's different but helping people go flawless (hopefully for free) can and probably means a lot to the person they're helping out. I understand it's frustrating to the person on the receiving end but regardless getting mad about someone being better than you at something is stupid. Also once you hit six wins you have a much higher chance of getting your butt kicked.
I only read like 3 sentences so if I made an assumption, I apologize in advance
2 AntwortenYou lost to a guy doing a double carry?
ha, you don't deserve the lighthouse.

You're pathetic kiddo
Lol 😂 you can't remove negative comments. It's part of the forums bra!

Sounds to me like you need better teamates. If you lose to a double carry that means 1 guy is putting in the work of 3 people. If you cant shut him down with his 2 below average teamates, thats more of a personal problem.
-
Bearbeitet von The 7th fall: 2/8/2017 8:45:37 PMNo offense but if your team can't beat 1-2 people carrying 1-2 others then that says you need to get better. Unless of course they're lagging, cheating or just quick-scope sniping, otherwise get better at your gameplay/strategy or don't play at all. Carrying happens in a lot of PvP games and I delt with it in two ways back when I did play Destiny: Either single out the good player(s) then mop up the trash, or just screw playing at all.
-
Boi if you think a SET team that "works well together" is the way to go for trials, you are goofing up right there. Change teams find some other 1.5s and go flawless. And dont complain about losing to a double carry; makes me think YOU need a carry/recov.
-
So you want the one guy with 2.5+ kd and 2300+ elo to play with 2 other guys with the same stats just so you can get stomped on more rather than him playing with 2 trash players and you only need to kill the good player

Bearbeitet von Lxj: 2/8/2017 8:40:18 PMYes, this a completely reasonable and easy to carry out suggestion. Is should get banned for playing with my bad IRL friends. Because I'm breaking the rules. Seems legit.
And a pinch of satire
Here's a solution:
git gud
If your team can't beat one person performing a carry, then maybe you don't deserve the lighthouse.
-
Bearbeitet von Sideswipe: 2/8/2017 8:21:55 PMYeah, Trials is completely backwards. Random Employee: "Instead of locking the loot behind a tiered skill wall with a hint of RNG like every game, fuck real world logi, let's keep people from completing it and just hand them the loot!" Jason Jones: "Ding ding ding! Somebody give that man a raise! Fuck decades of traditional methods of hosting competitive events, we're going to do Trials backwards and we're going to see how many of our casual/average players we can piss off with this. It'll be great!" Dumbasses...smh

One guy vs. 3 decent ones. Shouldn't be hard?

Don't worry, I'll carry you
Back to the reef
This is going to be quite unpopular with some.. but there's only one other way to balance things out and give others a better chance at the lighthouse and that's to add matchmaking to trials then it's random how you get on your card But I know it's not going to happen anytime soon. There's no easy fix to the problems in PVP

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Lxj: 2/8/2017 6:46:32 PMIf you can't beat somebody doing a double carry you really don't deserve to be at the lighthouse.
-
You're a 1.38 KD playing with two negative KDs, if you get beat by a double carry you don't deserve 7 wins.
-
You can't get through more wins because you're just not good enough. Don't blame people getting carried. Would you rather go up against a team of people pub stomping?
-
2 AntwortenI agree, paid carries and account recovery is destinys cancer
