Can't even get past 6 wins because we ALWAYS face some player who is doing a double carry. I don't care for flawless. One is enough. Just want a 7 win for the weapon per character. And I work for it. Can't we just get SBMM in the next update? Or even have Brother Vance sell a weapon at 350 light? New one per week?
Been running Meta weapons and just can't compete with those that do carries/double carries. Decent ELO but just UNBALANCED AS -blam!-!
Update the dam game Bungie. No more "3 month updates" to say "nothing is broken."
Update 1
In 3v1 situations, the one guy who plays 24/7 on a single game is the one who wins EVERY TIME! Then the horrid players t-bag and send messages like we suck...
It just encourages hate, and it gets old. I can compete and 1v3 most teams easily, but then run into that no life that streams and does double-carries. Trials is only for those that are the best of the best, but streamers are giving FREE flawless to the worse players in the game, making it harder for us that ACTUALLY put work in to get a legit flawless. I play many games, so it's a bit more difficult. I don't spend half my life playing a single game just to get flawless 15 times each weekend.
Why give the 0.7 K/D ratios free carries? They're bad at the gametype, but majority have more flawless than my actual 2 that I worked for without carries. I'm a 1.57 K/D, and have a team that works VERY WELL together! We've been flawless those 2 times together (Asylum, First Light). And that's how it should be. Introduce SBMM in this game. Those flawless carries will disappear. Why? Because pros will play against pros, trash against trash, average against average. If you have a team with a pro "attempting" to do double carries with 2 trash, you'll play against pros. Good luck with that double carry. Implement the system dammit!
Update 2
Just about had it with the negative comments. I've seen many more positives and valid arguments. Kudos to you all that have common sense and dignity. As for the rest, your comment will be ignored and removed. Just a fair warning at this point, since I'm actively watching this feed as I work on my next set.
Update 3
Been gone for some time and see the mixed arguments. Honestly, I only asked for the carries to stop. Trials is supposed to be reserved for the best of the best. I'd rather deal with 3 pros than 1 pro giving scrubs a free pass. People ask me if I want a carry, even now (inbox has over 30 messages), and I always decline. Because you can't get good at a game when someone better than you gives you a free pass. Goes for raids as well. You need everyone on your team to work together or you all fail if one quits or dies trying.
Trials is set up poorly, and has not changed since HoW DLC release in Year 1. I was not as good as I was when Trials first arrived, but as people got better, I've gotten better and have 2 flawless that I worked for myself. I'm always willing to help those that want to work for it, but not give a free pass. I've faced many streamers/pros in the past and barely scraped by. Then we face 3 scarabs on the 7th win attempt and get stomped, over and over again. If SBMM was implemented, instead of wins/losses on your card, then I'd always face someone with my skill set. SBMM would pair me with someone close or equal to my skill, as well as finding a team with similar wins/losses on each card. So on an 8-0 run, they'd find me a team with a score of 8-0 as well, and had similar skill. The match would be even and force each team to work hard to that flawless.
If you still disagree, honestly, you need to lay off Destiny for a while. You take this too seriously and obviously don't care about other's opinions and arguments other than your own. I'm standing by my opinion, and will argue in a POSITIVE WAY instead of putting you down. That is how a community stays a community. I've never had an issue with people who actively play Halo, so follow suit guys/girls.
Final Edit
I've decided to move on. I've listened to all of you, and I love the feedback. I've changed my thoughts on it all and just gonna focus on the new meta this coming Tuesday (that is if it even changes at all). I will be sure to link my next post here about how SBMM should work, as well as have a video posted. I haven't seen anything online about how SBMM should work in the way that I see fit. It's been introduced in a couple games that I've played, so it should work out in this game, either now or in Destiny 2.
Thanks for all your feedback! See you all on the battlefield fellow Guardians!

The problem with your idea is that connections are bad now and if you throw in SBMM it will be even worse. Constantly matching people from The North Pole doesn't sound like fun to anyone. So what if people like carrying and helping out. That is what you are supposed to do in a community, help others. If you had two 1.2's playing and a .5 wanted to play with you, you would say no because "we are trying to go flawless." Well guess what, people out there say yes because they deserve a shot and that individual wants to help. Some people are bored with the game and the only fun they have is helping people in trials, so that's what they do.
-
If SBMM was only implemented in trials, that would be fine. You always end up trying harder than normal crucible anyways. And you wouldn't get sweaty streamers who may be out of your league.

3 AntwortenThis is coming from a guy (me) that's never been flawless, but could very well snag a group and go flawless.. The lighthouse is there. But I don't think it should be handed over to you on a silver plate. Work for it. Streamers aren't going anywhere, as much as you'd like them to disappear. Learn to communicate. Learn to adapt. The victory is that much sweeter. Overcome. Would I like to go flawless? -Absolutely. I want that Grimoire. Do I actively do trials? -Nope Who do I blame? -Myself #ForeverAlone

Bearbeitet von Spaceman: 2/13/2017 11:15:06 PMI could care less. What I do hate is anyone who watches twitch morons and donates them money. I mean really? Paying some basement troll to play games? You're just reinforcing their addiction.

4 AntwortenThere should be sbmm or random matches. Casual players, randomly partnering up, are not going to beat no-life teams who play together 24/7. Every trials attempt always plays out the same, a few fun even matches giving you hope.. and then a top tier team steam rolling with cheesy bullshit, usually starting at the 5th game.

In order for more players to get involved with Trials, an equitable solution needs to be found. If bungie started enforcing its end user agreement where they do not allow guardians to make money on the game and therefore shut down the paid carries, less elite players would choose to continue to play after going flawless themselves as there is no money in it for them. This would then remove more players from the player pool and allow for less skilled players to keep at it and possibly have a way of reaching the rewards at 5/7 or 9 wins regardless of going flawless or not. By allowing the paid carries bungie is encouraging top players to stay in the player pool to both earn money and knock other players out of contention for rewards. This inturn causes players like myself to simply not play because the system is stacked against us.. I understand that people can play raids over and over and for no rewards, but, those carries, those attempt do not interfere with other players ability to get rewards, further, there is very little money being made in raid carries. Trials is against others and while I understand the wish for some to play it over and over because they are having fun, that fun doesn't come at the expense of bungies coding but, at the expense of other players and there pocketbooks, artificially inflating the pool of players available as competition and in such a way that it completely deters less skilled players from even attempting to play. the incentive needs to be there for players to play. The incentive currently is there for the elites, rewards and money.. the incentive is certainly not there for the avg and below avg players, change that and plenty more would play. While there may not be enough time or want to change trials for Vanilla destiny, perhaps for destiny 2, the end game pvp competition can provide the incentives for all parties wishing to play

I don't know of any fair way to stop carries in trials . SBMM could help me , but that's not the way this game is . You can get weapons and armor from doing bounties , so why should he sell anything . If you are 400 already , why the need for a 350 gun ?

2 AntwortenNew patch will create a bigger need for carries.
-
1 AntwortenSorry dude I not even gone past round 5, I wish I'd meet someone who would carry me for free, good luck to these guys for finding a helpful player, as long as they ain't charging I'm cool with it, we've all needed help at some point.

10 AntwortenUs .7 k/d will never have a chance to see the lighthouse on our own. I was just carried this past weekend, by 2 fantastic players. I didn't teabag a single time. And would you rather instead of an awful player like me as their 3rd, there was a 3rd amazing player? I don't really understand your logic, tbh. You just need to use strategy if you come up against a carry. Take out the carriers and leave the carry solo. 9/10 they'll freak out and not know how to handle it.
-
2 Antwortentl;dr: I can't beat good players so they should add sbmm, and ruin the entire point to trials, so I can get easy rewards.
-
1 AntwortenCan't beat a double carry but thinks his team is deserving of the lighthouse. *facepalm*
-
2 AntwortenSo what you are saying is
Nerf BladeDancers?
-
12 AntwortenI have never been carried. And I used to be a .6 player in trials. Instead of complaining put in some practice. I played every weekend probably 150 matches getting destroyed until guess what....I got good and now I normally avg a 1.4 Trials is supposed to be hard. If every time i bought a card I knew I was going flawless there would be no point in playing it anymore. Practice practice practice. And before you say you don't have the time. I work 40 hours and am a full time college student.

1 Antwortenif its truly a carry and your team truly deserves to make it past that number of wins that you always get stuck at then you should have no trouble 3v2 or 3v1ing the sherpa(s).
-
The people doing carries discourage people from actually trying which in turn leads the discouraged people to think getting carried is their only chance at the lighthouse. That said I wouldn't know what to do about it and haven't played anywhere near as much trials as other players so I could be way off on that point.
-
I dunno, the lighthouse is supposed to be this spot for the "best of the best" or what have you, but carries kind of invalidate that statement. On the same note, you cant just tell people to stop carrying their shitty friends/twitch subscribers. And prioritizing sbmm goes against everything this sub was for a few months ago/

"If you still disagree, honestly, you need to lay off Destiny for a while. You take this too seriously and obviously don't care about other's opinions and arguments other than your own." Lmao anyone else see the contradiction here?
-
2 AntwortenYou know what's crazy? In all seriousness. I can watch the matchmaking change with the people I play with. For example: when I play with this guy we get nothing but sweats. That guy, chill but derped at 7. The other dude I rarely play with, easy as shit. Wtf.
-
My opinion to this argument every time to this is when you go up to a double carry team it's 2 bad players with one amazing player you still have a chance to win if you can play as a team. Compare to a team of 3 amazing players and just get destroyed. So there should be no argument that Carrys ruin chances of light house but all those people without doing carrys playing together still deny the same amount of people that carry? So why bitch about how you run up against carry teams when in reality your team should get down the 2 bad players and all team fire on the great one? Should be a win if you play smart
-
Would you rather them run with three pros all weekend and absolutely screw you? They're giving you a chance by running with lesser skilled teammates. And FYI, it isn't a playlist, it's a tournament. Defined by Bungie as a tournament. How do you have SBMM in a tournament? All Esports tournaments work the same exact way. Random matching in the first round or seeded matching in the first round based on prior performance. At least trials is random and you aren't purposely matched against a team better than you. I've been to many Esports tournaments and MLG events and they all work this way. That is the world of competitive gaming. Not this "online competitive" BS where everyone gets a playlist to enjoy the game against similar opponents.

You say your Team works very well together, but you guys lose every 3v1? You say you have a 1,5+ kd and if your Teammates are even close to this there should not be a big problem going flawless once a week. I think that your Teamwork is not as good as you say. Maybe you use a bad mix of weapons or subclasses. Or your Team suffers from bad decisions in important Situations.
-
As long as the carry isn't for money, I'm good. Can't fault someone for beating you with two scrubs on their team. lol
-
It's not carries that are the problem I carry negatives every week The problem is when u are helping someone and u come up against a stacked team of 1.6s and above. I'm 2.10 and my friend is 2.40 If we come up against a full team of 1.6s or higher it's extremely hard and a waste of time m.

2 AntwortenI'm a 1.57 K/D, and have a team that works VERY WELL together! We've been flawless those 2 times together.'' Your K/D is pretty high for the average of trials players, and teamwork is the main thing that can lead you to the lighthouse. Probably you and your team are not that good in trials. 2 lighthouse are a poor loot for a team that ''works VERY well''.
