Big ups to players that main hunters.
I have played as a titan from day one. Recently, I decided to play as a hunter just to switch things up a bit and to collect some old weapons (murmur). All I have to say is that I have mad respect for hunters. I've died so much lately due to the lack of amor that is crazy. Maybe is my lack of experience with the character but shit is tougher with a hunter. Fosho!
Edit: just to be clear I'm talking PvE. I don't play much PvP. I just dabble in it.
Edit: I'm not trying to start a class war here guys. My intent was to show appreciation for other players that can use a character with a different play style. For some reason, I just don't feel comfortable playing as a hunter. Titans suit my play style better.
Edit: Stats don't mean nothing to me. Ever since Activision quit giving out achievement badges in '83, I haven't cared ( video game crash of 83. Look it up and learn your gaming history). Yes I'm an OG gamer(odyssey 200, coleco vision and atari 2600) and I'll play until my hands fall off.

Liked your post and glad to hear you can enjoy this game in a different way. I used to main a hunter but I've been 400 on all 3 for so long I don't consider any of them a main. That being said I've found warlocks the easiest for pve, titans the easiest for PvP, and hunters I have to utilize manuvering tactics to capitalize in PvP and in pve I never stay still. Seems I'm able to dodge enemy fire and be all up in the mix without much stress. I constantly hear from fireteam members, how are you not dead? I think enemy a.i. Have a much tougher time tracking the trajectory of a hunters jump on top of pinpoint turning. Throw in the artifact with no sprint cooldown ability with Frost-ee5 boots and have a good time.

I love killing people in crucible with a non-sticky grenade/solar knife combo. :) It's so humiliating. rofl

Hunters are hard to use in PvP because everyone can't shoot fish in a barrel

29 AntwortenBut hunters have the same armor as Titans. So do warlords. Everyone has the same stats on their armor, the choice of class is purely cosmetic at this point.

Been a day one/beta player Hunter. Didn't have any Titan or Warlock until pre-The Dark Below (weeks before that DLC came out). At first it was hard to switch it up but after awhile I got used to it and I mainly switch between my Warlock and Hunter. Titan would be my salty Striker with that whole Universal Remote xD

Been a warlock since beta. Slowly getting over the lack of mobility they have. I'm not good at all the jumping/shade stepping or titan skating/garrisoning but damn do I enjoy it on the hunter and titan.

I said the same for titans. I main a hunter since day one and just created a titan for fun. Yalls jump is wild.

I tried playing as a titan when the game first came out (even though I played as a hunter during the beta and loved it), and I just couldn't get into it. I wasn't having fun with titans, and I kept dying a ton for dumb reasons (and I had not yet discovered titan skating). Shortly after, I switched back to hunter, and everything was good. All this means is that some people approach problems in a first person shooter a little differently, and certain classes cater to those approaches more than others. I've been getting back into titans lately (I'm almost ready to switch my main over entirely), but only after taking time to learn how to be effective with them.

I just dabble in it.[/quote] i did about 650 strikes including nightfalls with just one hunter and i telling u, number one with number of deaths is titan, they dying in every strike... there is some skilled pve titan of course, but with my experience most deaths i saw from titans.

8 AntwortenThe sub classes introduced in Taken King are made for people that are useless at life. If I sent a Storm Caller, Sun Breaker or Night Stalker into a strip club with 50 bucks , they'd walk out with 100 bucks and a sore a$$.

I play with max armor on every subclass for every character. That's just me. Main hunter but didn't find survivability any different on my others.

For me, Hunter is the easiest PvP class to play as. Not the most fun though.

11 AntwortenYou guys who have just barely started using hunters, have no idea how good they used to be. Perhaps you just need more time adjusting to the new character. I personally can wreak pve with my hunter. I've also had him for awhile too.

Bladedancer main, it's difficult to play this claSs I run tether in raids which is nice That's about it ActivAting your blade in pvp is useless mine as well just kick rocks at players

Gunslinger main here.. it's all about running around wildly like a headless chicken tbfh. A chest piece with solar armor never hurts either.

5 AntwortenPvp is much the same our lack of amour and skills that increase our health make us extremely weak and easy targets for most players our supers are relatively easy to counter as we don't gain a damage resistance when using them and the only decent roaming super is bladedance with health regen on kill and even then a well placed snipe or shotgun blast will kill us instantly
