Hi,
anyone playing ToO can split its experience in 3 tiers:
0-4 wins: beside the unlucky match, you get matched quite fairly to average players.. (1400-1500 ELO max)
5-6 wins: you get matched with 1700-1900 teams.. matches start to become more sweatier..
7-9+ wins: you EXCLUSIVELY get matched against 1900+ ELO teams
with the shrink of the userbase (less mixed pve/pvp players and more try harder) the 7+ win became defacto a barrage to any average teams. (1200-1500 ELO) .
Bungie , could you please review the 7+ win matchmaking range ? we shouldn't be matched with
2000+ players doing carry all the week end or just pub stomping for the fun of it given the smaller user base.
you have several solutions to this:
- introduce more SBMM past 7 wins.
- put characters who achieved flawless in a separate matchmaking pool
- remove the 7-9+ bracket altogether and make it 0-4 and 5-9+
people are getting tired of this try hard mode and that's all what is left to do in destiny right now..
edit: according to guardian.gg there is 40000 flawless account across both PS4 et xbox each week.
currently someone with ELO 1700 is rank 23,079 in ToO playlist on PS4 alone.
this mean that the average ELO of team going flawless is likely in the 1800+..
edit2: so 70% agree that ToO MatchMaking s broken and the only who doesn't are certainly the top30% or people who don't even play the mode. fair enough i would say.. @Deej @Lars Bakken and Derek Carroll we know nothing will change for destiny 1 but take this into account for destiny 2. You can't keep something fair when the base assomption are different because of the players defects which in this case is mainly due to the matchmaking alone.

I agree with your whole post. Very accurate. I keep playing for fun but come up against pure sweat teams after 7 wins

I'm sure plenty of people have quit for that reason. Boils down to getting upset because they're not good enough. I'm usually not either so I understand, but just because a bunch of people do something for a certain reason doesn't make that reason justifiable. lol

Trials is tough, as it should be. I'm a distinctly average crucible player (I'm old 43) :-( but if you practice and stay focused your day will come. I've been lucky enough to go to the lighthouse 18 times now. As a solo player it is very difficult not having a regular team but some days the stars align and it all comes good.

I stopped playing because of the bounties only giving year 2 stuff

2 AntwortenI've had fun playing a few rounds of trials. I think I've gotten 6 wins before with a couple of friends in my clan. It does take a really long time. I guess if you are being paid to carry someone it's worth it. I hear some of the pay to carry players make a lot. This seems really weird to me. Why would someone pay a healthy fee to run behind someone else playing a video game?

I got to eight wins 3 times over weekend. Ifaintz chinned me one of the times and he was playing with a guy who had played 80 won 80 on burning shrine. Then played two guys carrying. Nearly 5000 Elo between em. Just no way threw that. So I reckon I'm just about done with trials. There's no logical way to the lighthouse anymore. Normal when I played well and with some luck I could get flawless but not anymore. Too many streamers and account recoveries. Just look at lfg for proof. Too many stacked teams

I played year one and got to lighthouse every week when it was random matchmaking, sometimes it would take all weekend but we'd get there eventually now we struggle to get six wins and feel like cannon fodder any time we hit five on the card.

I just wish the clever dragon and the matador would -blam!-ing burn in the hellfires of a nerf im done dealing with a weapon that can easily put shoot 98% of all primaries and snipers. Especially when the damn shotgun has better range than most hand cannons.

I played a lot of games yesterday and my elo is around 1500. I can confirm it.... My team couldn't pass 6-7 wins on our card... And then i realized why I stopped playing destiny :'D.

Not sure. I'm not a rager, but ToO might turn me into one, lol.

99 percent of the people who do well in trials now have McDonald's internet and lag to win straight red bar warriors lol
-
I stopped playing cuz I'm good at it and I got what I came for.
-
2 AntwortenI stopped playing it when i realised the bounties were only dropping last years stuff. I already have all of last years stuff, i want this years, as an extremely casual and very bad trials player they took away the sole reason for me to play.
-
I go 8-0 every weekend multiple times and I still don't want it changed. Yes it sucks but that's trials for you, it's supposed to be hard and competitive
-
Destiny: Caters almost exclusively to casual players yet still can't get those pesky casuals to play. Rip

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von AntharPrime: 1/10/2017 3:16:50 AMI played about 20 games back when it first started. Almost every game had players being kicked and invulnerable players that would wait out the match then sit on the cap. Never played it since as Bungie never addressed the problems, it's just as crappy now as in day one according to people's posts on here.

I stopped playing because it no longer took skill.

I had so much fun this week don't change a thing

Usually the other way around, straight 1900-2000 elo straight off then you get an easy match, then back to the sweat on the 3rd and 4th. Normally eases up after that then just the final match.

5 AntwortenI am not good enough and never will be good enough to go flawless and I am fine with that. I don't really care either. I think it should be tough to go flawless in trials and Bungie shouldn't do anything to make it any easier than it already is. My only issue is that you cant get current trials weapons by completing bounties anymore. I used to endure the beat downs I would get just to complete the bounties and have a chance at a good weapon. Now I don't even bother with trials.
-
My solution is to only play trials when I know I'm going to win. As you can tell from my recent game history with trials, that hasn't happened.
-
- introduce more SBMM past 7 wins.
more? wouldn't more imply that it's there to begin with?
-
If you're unhappy, stop playing. When the player base drops to all the sweatys, things MAY change.
