Here's a tip for Ronin.
Set him aside and use Scorch.
Ironically, Northstar can be your bane if you don't watch out for those tether traps while phasing to gain distance. As with all Titans, do not engage one of another is close by and assist a teammate to make the kill easier.
-
Ok ronnin set up. Nuke eject. Thunderstorm for kit. When sword code is up use it! You have almost limitless dash and your two charges of arc wave -blam!-ing destroy. Then proceed to melee. Outside of that it's really best to try and get behind your enemy without them knowing. Unload leadwall give them an arc wave. Then dance around them. If you can't sword block phase backwards. Try to flank again. Don't get cocky, and don't go frontal assault it won't work. Also sword block while phase shifting if you land in an enemy titan you'll explode. I only play ronnin I've tried all others and the speed and power ronin can give you is unmatched.

Be careful of scorch because his thermal shield is the biggest counter to your ronin Sword block when in situations where you can't use your phase dash to escape

3 AntwortenDon't engage legion without your core, an experienced legion player will tear you to shreds
-
1 AntwortenTip 1: don't capitalize it, its not an abbreviation Tip 2: don't play ronin
-
2 AntwortenPlay it just like every single ronin player: run right up to a Titan and just repeatedly melee them because you have 0 skill
-
Ronin should not be allowed to nuke eject during a phase shift

7 AntwortenTips to playing Ronin; Step 1: switch to Ion or Tone Step 2: realize that they're better in almost every way. Step 3: forget Ronin exists.

Nuke eject/phase exploit for instant Titan Battery phase exploit Only reason people play ronin He's a joke of a Titan
just like respawn is a joke of a dev company
8 AntwortenBearbeitet von wackfamily: 1/8/2017 6:27:41 PMJust tried out Ronin for myself...it is impossible to use him. His health is too low for a full frontal assault, his attacks don't do enough damage to conpensate for lack of health, he has zero long range moves. Every other titan is far superior in comparison. Update: okay i've learned how to use him. He isn't too bad. His speed and sword block definitly make up for the lack of health. But his damage is severely lacking. There is no way you are going to be able to flank everyone. Someone will always know where you are and it makes it extremely hard to get a good attack in. I managed to get some good kills with him but he isn't very capable of getting more than 1 due to low health. He could use a little damage buff if anything

Let's get right to it. Ronin is the hit and run Titan. Always try to get in close and keep moving around in circles around the enemy to have them miss their shots. Your dashes and phase dash are your best friends, and your sword block helps get in close. I recommend having a extra dash, emergency phase shift when doomed, and nuke eject to have the most effect on the enemy team. Rush in, shoot a whole bunch, doom yourself and phase shift, quickly run behind them, Nuke eject, and profit. You can get your Titan almost immediately after all that
-
-Flank -Pick your engagements -Careful with scorch -Reload your shotgun while phase shifting behind them, then shoot them again -Don't be ashamed of running away while sword blocking -Don't go for three dashes. That perk slows down your dash regen You might think nuclear eject would be the best, but give double electric smoke a try and dump it on titans. Does a bit of damage and confuses them. Ronin's by far my favourite titan.

Stay the hell away from enemy scorches if they have full health. Even if you use sword core on them they will kill you much faster than you can kill them with their flame shield. I do it all the time to enemy ronins

9 AntwortenPlay legion. Legion deals more DPS than Ronin even at his best range
-
Ronin is the best Titan for taking out Pilots. His Sword gives him RIDICULOUS Melee Range, and his Shotgun can instakill a Pilot if it's fired in their general direction at close Range.
-
9 AntwortenYour melee obviously does nore damage than anything else in your kit, and outputs more DPS than abything else in the game; This is true, because otherwise, why does every Ronin player only use melee?

I'm not a "master" Ronin player, and I also just started multiplayer, but here are some tips I found out myself. The hard way. 1. The Sword block is your best friend. With the right timing, you can deal good damage and not lose so much hp while getting in close to other Titans (I'll explain why). 2. Ronin is meant for CQC combat, which means melee attacks are your friend as well. Also don't be afraid to run away from a battle, since some Titans have area-denial abilities and can kill fast (like Legion and Scorch) and make your melee attacks useless. 3. Use your Sword Core wisely. There are certain moments when it will be essential, like when you're near 2-3 enemy Titans at around half health.

The block is your best friend. Use it as much as you can If you want survive longer, flank and dish out damage until they notice you. After that, retreat while blocking. If enemies are engaging friendly Titans, you want to draw the attention of the enemy while your teammates attack. "Everybody hates Ronins."

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von ReignofSpartain: 1/6/2017 8:24:58 AMUse cover to bash range them. Ark waves to close gaps. Phase to dodge important attacks I never really used block.... just had the map help me to close gaps. Other than that melee only. I only use lead wall for ranged pilots
-
2 AntwortenFlanking is almost essential to doing well with Ronin. If you don't get the jump on an enemy Titan, you'll likely be severely outgunned and take a lot of damage. Before you engage in combat, figure ou where the enemy is going and try to get behind them or take out snipers like Northstar. Speaking of Northstar, keep an eye out for tether traps. They screw you over, hard.
-
Use 3 dashes and the 2 arc wave kit. Phase negates tone lock on. Be careful with phase as titans can crush you if you phase out underneath them. Sword core gives you infinite dashes and faster arc wave and phase cool down so remember that instead of just swinging your sword around. Remember to block. And use the battery boost because otherwise he dies too easily.

Bearbeitet von PlutoIsAPlanet: 1/6/2017 5:40:30 PMWhen confronting with a Titan unload your shotty to the weak spot of the titan. I usually phase shift when I unload my shotty to give me time to reload safely or dash behind cover. If you're close to the victim phase shift behind him if you can so you can use your sword or obviously if you're deep under trouble just phase shift out, etc. I usually go with the extra dash and reduced cooldown on phase shift so I can maximize agility of the Titan. You don't have to go with the setup since it does suit my playstyle with Ronin and maybe it doesn't suit yours.
Btw this for a 1 v 1 scenario not in a team battle scenario. For that I recommend not to confront the group straight off the bat. I'ma leave it there since I'm to lazy to write out another wall of text.
Play smart. Attacking pilots is your primary job. Titans are something best left to your team unless the enemy titan is preoccupied. If you must fight a titan head on moving to flank and using the environment are your best bets. Your shotgun deals massive damage to titans. Although legions are easy prey. They lack the capability to keep up with your movement.

1 AntwortenTry to attack other Titans from the rear. They won't realize you are there until you start hacking them apart. And when they turn around to face you, phase behind them and continue. After they start turning to face you again, escape their line of sight and let phase recharge. Ronin is not good in a direct confrontation. Use its great mobility to flank.
