So Virgin won't allow you to manually open ports??? If not you can try to DMZ, since you don't really need port forwarding enabled to use it.

Only on this modem. They basically admitted on the phone the modem is known to have issues with Xbox live but put it down to third party hardware at fault. Every other modem I've had from isp has allowed port forwarding until this one. Tried giving the Xbox a static IP and using DMZ but not much improvement.

Yee it could be that modem is just crap with online gaming.

Think that's pretty much it. Only company that offer a 200mb unlimited usage connection and they have the worst hardware out there.

Yee makes no sense lol. I'm sure they allow you to use modems that they don't supply, if you like your data deal I'd suggest that as an option.

They don't. Still gotta use their modem then connect my own router at best.
