The only difference is that they can take down shields of PvE enemies faster. (Depending on element)

Specials and heavy weapons are still a lot better for damage against bosses or high level enemies. Elemental primaries were just really helpful against taking down enemy shields.

your logic is so backwards. one shot with a special or heavy and shields are down. switch to primary and finish the job. a little teamwork goes a long way.

A red bar enemy with a shield isn't worth pulling a heavy or special on. Elemental primaries make it easier to kill without wasting any special or heavy ammo. You're not getting my point.

why isn't it worth it? either way they die. it just depends on how fast. make better weapon choices for the encounter you are doing, and you will be far more effective at clearing enemies. i've used a g-horn rocket on a single level 4 dreg. its not like you need to conserve ammo in this game. so your whole logic isn't very sound.

The entire point of using another gun is to kill the enemy faster, so your point makes no sense. And heavy ammo is actually kind of rare. I'm not going to use my heavy and special to kill every enemy. I need to use my primary which would be more effective with a burn.

well since you still can't comprehend what i am explaining, i'll try and put it in a way you can understand. you only need to use your elemental guns on shielded enemies. use your non elemental primary on non shielded enemies. how hard is this to understand? how rare is heavy ammo when everyone has several ways to purchase synths? just admit you want it to be easier.

The point is it helps with burns on strikes and so you don't have to use your special ammo on a shielded enemy. It also helps especially when ironclad is on and nearly every enemy has a shield. You haven't given one reason yet why it's a crutch. You've been actually running them down.

when bungie got rid of elemental primaries they also got rid of the majority of reasons why you would need them. if you have been paying attention, i have given a reason. you just missed it in your attempt to pretend like you don't just want the game made easier. you haven't given any reasons why its not a crutch. every single attempt of yours prove its not a crutch, i have been able to rebut. but thanks for playing.
