Star Wars needs to retire anyways. Only watched the 3rd one and that was boring. I think the nerds are overreacting though, one insignificant actor's death doesn't mean the whole year is terrible.

I didn't get it because he was never important to me. But I never disparaged anyone who did follow him or was saddened by his passing. What kind of jerk would? It all depends on what things impacted you, and who impacted you that make a difference. People that have probably never faced loss yet wouldn't understand. That "insignificant" actress portrayed one of the most iconic heroine's of all sci-fi time ever, and was known well because of that. Many of us were captivated by her since 1977, and grew old remembering our screen heroes as they were. Carrie Fisher's life was a flurry of turmoil and doubt laced by bipolar disorder. Through her struggles with that, she was a champion to many who have the same illness because she never seemed to give up and somehow tried to make the most out of her past and bad experiences. So to you she may have been insignificant, but that's just you. A little empathy toward other people goes a long way. Yeah, I get it, to you she's some old person. But one day one of your icons will pass and maybe you'll understand. Maybe not, if you don't care about anything. Just because she wasn't relevant to you means nothing. That said, I did not cry for Carrie Fisher, but her passing still saddens me. I am thankful for her contribution into a fantasy world that millions upon millions have been fans of for near 40 years, that continues to provide happiness to people today.

My life didn't change because of her death so honestly I can say it didn't effect me much.

2 AntwortenMeh. She was a funny person. The 3rd Star Wars is shit though so that might be the issue

10 AntwortenBy third, do you mean Revenge of the sith? If so, there's your problem. The prequels are terrible

This month was already shitty for me so her dying wasn't life changing. Yeah it's crazy to think that an original cast from star wars is gone but people are blowing it way out of proportion.

I'm a big Star Wars fan and I don't really care if she died
