Make destiny 2 hard as hell to reach max light.
Dangle that carrot for the 99‰ so there is something to strive for. Destinys problem is you don't have to do any high-end content to reach max light.
Nightfall, raids like in the old days should drop exotics or xur.
3oc should be forgotten.
I remember the time we all looked forward to Tuesday for just the chance to get that wanted exotic. If you didn't get it you were so nervous and hopeful when you decrypted that purple heavy.
If you complain its to grindy well you're still playing and have a reason too.
Made it to easy bungholes.

You make it sound like getting max light is the whole aim of the game. Getting to max light just makes it slightly easier to do a few of the events People complained in year 1 that everyone looked the same because there were few ways to get to year 1 so there were only a few armour sets. Now there is more variety and more ways of reaching max light people are complaining again That's the Destiny community
