Have any other PvPers just walked away from the Crucible?
A time was when I loved Destiny PvP, even with all its flaws. Lately, it is just unbearable and nearly unplayable. Get one solid match with a 2.4 k/d and decent connections. Then the next 5 or so I'm getting 0.4 - 0.6 and getting shot/sniped through walls. Fake greenbars everywhere. I even landed a headshot on a guy with TLW when he was around a corner out of sight. Stupid bullshit kills. I know a lot of people experience these problems, but I don't think I can keep playing Crucible anymore. It's far more stressful than it is relaxing. Just curious how many other PvPers have finally said eff it and stopped playing.
So many people say "just play to relax and you won't get frustrated". But, that's the point, you just can't relax playing Crucible anymore. Not because "K/D matters", but because when half your shots don't register or things are working improperly on a consistent basis, there is no fun in it.
Sure it's relaxing to build something out of legos, even if it isn't that great, but if every time you go to put a block on another and it misses, I'm sure anyone would get ticked off lol.

6 AntwortenCrucible has been broken since day one. It's a complete joke. I have never saw a more messed up pvp game than this and I have been around for 40 years or so and played many pvp games. That's why when these kids start talking about " who is the best pvper" or how you need skill to play this game it just makes me cringe now. This game glorifies cheap, no skill tactics. Truth- the majority of the shotgun warriors or snipers in destiny wouldn't stand a chance in titanfall. And then there is the lag. My god what a pathetic excuse for a mainstream pvp game. Jesus, plants vs zombies:garden warfare is better than this garbage. Bungie should be embarrassed.

3 AntwortenPlayed 50+ days in year 1 and 2. Had around a 2.1 KDR at the end of Y1. Year 2 started the decline and Y3s finished it off. Sbmm evaporated my friends list. Went from 7 pages of friends on this game to maybe half a page on a good night. I finally pretty much quit the game last month. Occasionally hop on, but I'll never play this game again the same way. SBMM killed crucible along with the endless nerfs. The skill cap is laughably low now compared to Year 1. The guns are weak and the year 2 subclasses are a joke competitively. Sunbreakers bad while wombo combo is laughably broken, and that's before we even get to Storm melee. I have never felt so punished by a game for being good at it as destiny. Not to mention the absolute insulting way they've addressed matchmaking concerns since then.

3 AntwortenI don't play it as much as I used to and I'm trying SO hard not to take matches seriously anymore. This game is embarrassing. I hate that I LOVE the feel of this game's pvp, but I hate how it actually plays out due to p2p connections, SBMM, no ranked/unranked playlists, pretty shitty weapon and subclass balancing, I could keep going. I still love the feel, it's just the external aspects that are killing me. I would kill to go back to how HoW was and just buff AR's, as well as removing all subclass nerfs except for the armor nerf for Sunbreakers, I cannot describe how happy I'd be. The thing I hate the most is that SBMM still thinks I play like I used to and now I have HORRIBLE quality matches and feel like I've been punished. I mean I'll be straight up honest, I don't play nearly as well as I used to. Sure, I have a couple matches every other day but I've been playing like shit lately. So because I was able to post super high stays before, I have to deal with a smaller player pool with terrible connection matches. I just wish they'd put a ranked and unranked playlist and keep SBMM in the ranked playlist. I hope that the sequel works on the extremely glaring issues that have been sticking out like a sore thumb for going on 3 years of this game's life. Until then, I have absolutely no hope for this game's pvp. I mean look at the thread talking about balance. They don't know what the fućk to do anymore. It's so embarrassing. It's so sad we've basically sat down and held their hand through this entire game. If it wasn't for the community, the game wouldn't have even made it past the first 3 months of launch.

Lag and red bars everywhere MM puts me in match already started I spawn every time near an enemy and got spawnkilled In 3vs3 MM puts me alway against a team. When i use a shotgun 80% of the time bullets pass through enemies, and they kill me with one shot, and the same thing happens with fusion I have a matador with max range and rangefinder, at the same distance i got killed by immobius while the enemy lost only his shield. Now i play pvp only for the bounties

I used to love crucible but it's current state is definitely weighing me down. One or two good matches lag free, everything connects, all my deaths are clear. Either I made a mistake or got outplayed. I usually get 2.0 or 5.0 in those games and just like clockwork the next handful of matches are plain awful where nothing connects. Even if bungie magically fixed the connection issues, crucible would still be more stressful than relaxing. There's literally nothing but shotguns at the moment and it's getting really old. I'm legitimately surprised when I die from a primary lol. I can only handle a couple of matches when I'm sober. Even if I'm doing great in the matches I still get tired of try harding my ass off. The community is also a problem for me as well. -blam!-ers are toxic. If I'm beating everyone and being a one man army, teabags and hate mail. I get stomped, teabags and messages telling me I'm trash. Sore winners and sore losers pretty much. Lastly, player base is diminishing and bungies forced match making is not helping. Definitely don't play crucible as much as I used to.

Liked and enjoyed Iron Banner but a peer to peer networking solution without dedicated servers ensuring quality of service for the connected clients just doesn't cut it or make it a level and fair playing field. The only time it's been any good is when it was solely connection based which would somewhat reduce the latency between clients. But they had to piss around with the settings. Power is with the consumer don't pre order destiny 2 if its more of the same shit.

I only play for the weekly shaxx bounties occasionally now... but I kind of can't stand Crucible these days, the meta is awful and the connections are terrible. It's sad, because it used to be what I would primarily play

I usually just play rumble and occasionally help some friends in trials. Not sure why but rumble is the only playlist I tend to have fun in.

By January it was maybe 20. By end of year 2 is was maybe 10. ROI brought back about 30. Now it's 3. ROI was pretty terrible for content and retention. Destiny needs to capitalize on its unique properties, but it doesn't at all (other than the mayhem mode). Titanfall maps have way better design. Destiny needs to learn to design it's maps with the mechanics in mind, not copy COD map design which doesn't fit the entire tone of destiny.

5 AntwortenI've been playing Titanfall 2 PvP so much that I can't even stand the Destiny PvP anymore. I'm overall just bored of the game now, SRL is the only fun thing right now in my opinion.

Crucible has been inconsistent with regards to gameplay for easily 14 months now. It cannot be fixed otherwise I'm sure Bungie would of done something by now. Regardless, it's great when it's working properly and frustrating as hell when it doesn't. You either put up with it or quit playing. It is what it is and it's not going to change. In a couple months there won't be anybody playing anymore anyway. The game has run its course.
