Thorn is not what it used to do. Just make it a bit better.
-
Why does it need a buff? I think it's fine
-
I hated Thorn y1, but I hate ANY nerf period. All they needed to do to Thorn was to stop it's DoT if the user is killed. Y1 I think I won about 2/3 gun battles using Hawkmoon, but ironically died to Thorns DoT.

It's funny how this was the wepon we wanted bungie to nerf asap, but now it's in a need of a buff...
-
Give thorn hidden perk "counterbalance" Put the poison back to year 1 damage type (slow ticks) increase damage to 5 for 4 or 5 ticks. Once damage tick has started it must run full cycle, this way you can't stack it and be cheap lol.
-
2 AntwortenThorn doesn't need buffing, it needs fixing.... For example a 30 second tick on a player taking 1dmg per second... Sure, no real damage, but prevents health/shield regen for 30 secs... That's how it should work... nothing more, nothing less... That's a hell of a kickass advantage in the right hands PvP wise... For PvE... irrelevant since most mobs will be low tier and your special for bosses is probably the way around...

BUFF THAT SHIT!!!!!!!!!!
-
Thorn should decrease agility or amour by 20% from whoever gets shot by it.

2 AntwortenThat is such a funny and ridiculous question.....because the answer is YES. I had some time, unusual for me, and I did a HC comparison. 1. Palindrome vender version 2. Eyasluna steady hand, range finder, rifled barrel, luck in the chamber (almost a god roll) 3. Thorn 4. Hawkmoon Eyasluna was by far the best. Palindrome was second Thorn was third Hawkmoon was a suckass distant forth. Bungie for what ever reason puts too much value on exotic perks over the ability for a weapon to deliver a bullet to a target on a consistent basis. The vast majority of players value a consistent target hit vs some exotic perk. Hawkmoon being a little bit odd because of the damage perks. That said almost all exotic perks take a back seat in PVP to consistenty hitting a target and that is way ledendaries are better in PVP than exotics. It's sad that bungie balances hitting a target with exotic perks makeing exotics all but useless in PVP. So a short answer made long.......yes thorn sucks and needs a buff but so does all the other exotics too.

It should be returned to pre april update the range nerf needs to be reversed imo
-
1 AntwortenI do
not
-
1 AntwortenGive it it's 25 percent range back and have it where it was before April update
-
4 AntwortenIt was perfectly balanced before the last nerf. I don't know why it was nerfed again. More importantly, why do people still not want it buffed? Why did people still want it nerfed then? Why is it the only gun that gets hated on even when it's underpowered/balanced?
-
2 AntwortenJust reverse the 25% range nerf and I'll be happy.
-
3 AntwortenI dont understand why you want it back to what it used to be. Pre everything thorn was one of the worst guns in the game.
-
3 AntwortenI actually think it's in a good place right now, does decent damage in pve, and it is still a strong hand cannon in pvp the poison just is as prevalent but still tracks and prevents health regen.
-
2 AntwortenFirst people wanted the gun buffed, then it was nerfed, now its need a buff. Man I swear it's like y'all can't decide what you want. Just leave it alone.
-
-
2 AntwortenScrew Thorn, Hawkmoon needs it just as much. It's been worse than most Legendary variants since the beginning of TTK.
-
2 AntwortenNeeds a better rate of fire, as it stands with the dot like it is, Thorn needs to be able to get rounds downrange quicker.
-
4 AntwortenYou can buff its range, but don't bring back epic dot. An extra tick of damage wouldn't be crazy. I still think they should cut some of that green screen effect back more. I used this gun when it was a 6 shooter and no one would touch it. I hate what it became after the second buff. I don't want it becoming the "i shot you once and you can't do shit about it" gun again.
-
3 AntwortenThorn was a bad idea. Making a weapon with dot was dumb. 1 weapon with dot. We all know bungie can't Balance pvp weapons. If they buff it, it will be a micro buff that won't do anything or they will make it op
-
Bearbeitet von Marshman24: 12/23/2016 6:33:18 PMAt the very least for PvE only. Lot of damage over time on bosses would be cool, but keep the burn as is in Crucible.
-
2 AntwortenNo and I was a heavy thorn user in year 1 before they buffed thorn before it dominated the Crucible for almost a year it was a shitty weapon ppl cried for a buff then it became op . Granted now we have an artifact to reduce the effect of DOT so only thing thorn needs is a range increase it was fine before the last nerf they gave it
-
That gun was one of my favorite and now it just sucks. Handcannons need range to hit anything and the Torn just lacks the one stat it needs :(
