I think HOW was best
The action just kicked off strong as far as the story goes. Taniks and the other guy ... you know his name .. I forget him in the .....uh ...>SKOLAS ...man that fight was tight !!!!!
... shotties and snipers we equally matched in my opinion .. THORN ...lord have mercy that gun was fun !!!

3 AntwortenI said vanilla because for everything it did get wrong, the sense of mystery and the hunt for anything new was fun for me... But once crota dropped, all the mystery was gone, realizing that reaching the highest level will be given, and that there are no secrets that we all kept looking for in the vog. I still love the game, but now, there just is no suspense or drive because there are no secrets or rewards for continuously playing. Hidden exotic? Nope, just time gated and easily obtainable even for those who do not dedicate a lot of time into the game.

Then they stick the knife in our backs by not only making all old gear useless but didn't increase vault space so we can at least keep our old useless trophy gear. I'd love to be able to rock full VOG gear ,some Crota weapons or any combination and play relevant content.

1 AntwortenPVE: TTK hands down, I spent days worth of time in patrol alone, not to mention the quests and raid. PVP: HoW without a doubt. It could be harsh, but I didn't rage like I do now with the current and last few metas.

6 AntwortenThis is how I see it. For PvE its prime was Vanilla. It was a true grind to level up, vault of glass was in my opinion the best raid of them all, and exotics were harder (random) to get (I got way more excited getting an exotic then compared to now). It has slowly gotten easier and easier to hit max rank. I don't even find myself grinding for raid guns now as they all drop pretty frequently. PvP I only recently started playing more (end of TTK) but I played casually through out it all. I think through out it's life span it's had it's ups and downs, but it's gone the right way. I hope they can continue to tweak the things that need adjusting and continue to push out more content like Trials and Iron Banner that provide a fun PvP experience. I have to say I've been enjoying PvP in ROI a ton. Pve: Vanilla PvP: ROI

While I like what Vanilla was going for While I like Rise of Iron's updates to older areas While I like The Taken King's massive improvements I like House of Wolves better than all because it made everything relevant.

1 AntwortenVanilla and The Dark Below was the formation of some great friendships. House of Wolves was the most toxic being able to reroll legendary weapons. Being cross mapped by Last Word. Being detected around corners by Thorns DoT and the odd single tap from Hawkmoon. Need I mention shot package? The Taken King was the biggest addition and overhaul that I enjoyed

VoG was a hard raid you felt proud to beat each week. Crota was just bugs. So many bugs. That raid was more frustrating than anything. HoW wasn't bad at all, but I hated the weapon meta. Enjoyed everything, raid-wise, being max level again. Oryx was... meh. Like his son, he had lots of bugs. The weapons didn't really feel worth it either, especially with a lack of elemental damage. RoI started fun, but quickly died. Lost some of my group because we did a raid without them after they said they wanted to wait and level up more. That kind of killed this new raid and as a result I've really only beaten it twice. Good music, though. But I know what my favorite activity was, it was VoG, the first I mentioned, but the honest truth for me is this game stopped being as fun when they nerfed auto rifles to the ground. They still haven't recovered, in my opinion, and while I have no issues with PvE, the PvP part isn't fun when I can't use my SUROS and actually have fun. The auto rifle nerf was the start of the decline for me, which happened around the time TDB had come out. Before or after I don't remember, but that was my tipping point of losing interest. I come back every so often, hoping things are fixed. Usually just more broken with less people playing.

1 AntwortenVanilla was best in terms of things just working, no nerfs, just fun. HoW made it great, because they adressed a lot of things and let us, you know, USE ANY GEAR WE WANTED. Etheric light was what we all wanted, because "last thing we wanted was for you to earn gear and have it useless". People would run VoG, CE, Prison, everything! Rerolling weapons. Then, TTK on the horizon "oh yeah, all your gear is staying behind, because, reasons"
