14 Antworten
can you guys just pick a path and stick to it?
This is way beyond reasoning. Look at what Luke smith did to this game and tell me it was reasonable. There are so many deliberate poor actions that took place and gamers try to justify them actions and call them "mistakes" That last statement is the #1 problem with majority of this community. News flash people! You don't sign a contract with the Devil and then turn around and try to act innocent. This is a company that has been in business for over 25 years and to see this poor Bungie nonsense is getting old. They have the manpower and the money to make a complete game but here it is knowing they screwed up so bad that hey will have to wipe out everything and start over. Destiny is a game that has so much potential and the only thing Bungie has listened to is how to make the game easier or how to acquire certain things easier but one thing and it's their pride and joy. PvP that has killed the concept of this game. Bungie's #1 problem in this game as knowing they haven't built a foundation and worked from there. With Luke smith running D2 there is no hope for this game to be what it could be. It's always going to be a rinse and repeat. Basically a different form of COD by pumping out what little content they will offer and reskin everything calling it "new content". If the higher ups weren't just thinking about their precious quota on wasted time spent in this game that is more then half the time anyone spends in it... You could have a game that would expand. Light level would have a purpose other then bragging rights. The loot system would be rewording. Endgame content would actually have an incentive. Tess wouldn't be the only vendors out of this entire game that has a rotational stock. You would actually become more powerful as Bungie loves to over do on their false advertising. Weapons and gear would have a sense of value like y1. Microtransaction timed events that are removed wouldn't be your "added content" Exotics wouldn't have been turn into a material for progression because of the stupid 3OC. Making them have less of a value. Primary Elementals wouldn't have ever been removed. Y1 "game braking" weapons wouldn't have been used as a marketing tool. Y1 wouldn't have ever been capped at 170 in PvE but allowed to work as intended in PvP. PvP balance would be separated from PvE. Omg the nerfing in this game is outrageous. Nerfing, ammo, reload time, everything and anything under the sun for the sake of PvP. Then you have the bonus nerfs. Nerfing loot drop rates, nerfing perks, stelth nerfs that "Bungie doesn't do", nerf nerf nerf! Is there one single things Bungie won't nerf in this game? Trials wouldn't be a nest for streamers, cons etc that is increasingly growing that Bungie refuses to give gamers other options then having to deal with this crap. Trials was meant for gamers that are competitive, gamers that want to improve their skills etc. Not a money making game mode that is leaving a lot of Gamers having second thoughts and saying is the end game content really worth the hassle. By all means I'm not all that good at PvP and will never clame to be, but trials is the plague to this game as it stands now. You would figure if the higher ups actually gave a flying hoot they would look for other options and take action on it. They have had a year and a half of positive feedback that could improve it but as usual Ignore all of it. If I could make a challenge with Luke smith it would be to prove me wrong. Put the gamers money where your mouth so openly speaks and learn how to work around the environment you helped create. Not this mentality of I don't want to deal with it so let's remove it. And for chrissakes learn how to keep things in this game relevant and give gamers back that sense of value that you took away...

Part of its bungie, the other is self entitled children, adults who have nothing better to do, along with millennials.

Blaming others for your own and people's actions is sad. Everyone's attitudes is their own fault.

Here you go. All yours.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Thane: 12/22/2016 5:29:16 PMGotta be honest, i'm more curious about all the office Drama they had than anything they're releasing. Btw if it was up to them, they would wake up the next day pretending the previous launch never happened (can't say they ain't trying). That's why they're rebooting. Whats left of the current community aren't even on their radar/far from being a priority (those are content with Bungie simply farting in their general direction). A sequel launch is suicide under such circumstances. You make a good point, but ..... i kind of disagree. Destiny's biggest problem was the fanboys nodding instead of pushing for this reboot to happen earlier ..... much earlier. A free reboot because no, you shouldn't get paid a second time for -blam!-ing up (TTK). That was the second and last chance i gave them after Vanilla. Now i would pay for a detailed documentary on how they spent over five years developing their "dream project", had hundreds of devs working on it, were funded by a giant in the industry and STILL -blam!-ed it up ..... forget Destiny 2.

4 AntwortenTo be fair, we don't know that Destiny 2 will be a complete reset for sure. So far it's just a leak from Kotaku, which also leaked that Eververse was going to fund DLC's so they're not always spot on. But even without that, yeah, they're all over the place with their stated goals. Exotics, when the game first released, were supposed to be more powerful than Legendaries which is why you can only equip one. Now they're just supposed to be unique/have a unique perk.....There are plenty of other things they've flipped on so I won't be surprised if D2 does turn out to be a complete reset. I can't blame them for the state of the community though, that's all on us.

1 AntwortenI played Destiny for one main reason - space magic! I never intended to play PvP. When it first launched, I thought it was an adventure game. It was, until everyone finished the adventure and cried out for more content. As a result, PvP gained ground and all of a sudden, it became the main focus of the game. PvE became secondary. I distinctly remember those days and that was the turning point. This game was never the same, ever again.

3 AntwortenChill out. Bungie has a tough job trying to balance the game to please the most people. The hard core zombie TOS players will usually have a different wish list than the casual less vocal player. How do you have weapons with specific perks, armor with perks, exotics and still hope to maintain an even playing field for the masses? That can't be easy.

19 AntwortenBungie wants to find a balance between the nerf babies and the sweaty try hards. This is incredibly difficult considering the two groups usually want polar opposite things from the game. Give them some slack and let them figure out what the best approach is. I for one have not minded the continual changes in meta as it has forced me out of my comfort zone and increased my skill in pvp i think

Eeehh, its about 50/50. We also have to take our part in the blame.

2 AntwortenWe only have ourselves to blame

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von toughonstains632: 12/20/2016 6:43:24 PMNo kidding. They did the same thing with game design. Year 1 was a tough game. It had harder pve encounters, tough pvp mechanics. It also had excellent gunplay and strong weapons. It was a grind, but man was it rewarding once you actually got stuff. Year 2-3 started a complete reversal. Pve became simple and stagnant. So much big brother style of policing of crucible. Weapons were made bastards of their former glory. SBMM protected the noobie doobies. Now they're at a spot where their vision of protecting those noobie doobies is started to have its toll on the longer term playerbase. Pvp is stale (and SBMM drove a lot of players away), pve is pointless. Now they're like: ''well -blam!-, we might have gone too far...but we still need to keep those noobie doobies safe.'' They bring back old content because that's what us old guys want, but they make it a shell of its former glory. Seriously, that nexus strike nightfall? That was easy as shit. CBMM? Yeah, that's a cover. They knew SRL was going to gut the crucible population -that's how SBMM was exposed last year- so they put out that warning to the noobie doobies that they won't be quite as protected....with the guise that it's being done by community request. Nope. It was done so pvp is actually playable with the drop in pvp population. 100% guaranteed that SBMM is coming back-how heavy, we'll see- once SRL ends. So although their direction is all over the place, it's settling on one thing: Protect the noobs, try and give the old players bastardized versions of previous content in hopes that their nostalgia will be enough to keep them going....without releasing that ''our nostalgia'' is rooted in the depths that existed in the past, not in the specific content itself. EIther way, it scares the shit out of me for Destiny 2. It's going to be a casual, easy-as--blam!- game. Not interested in that at all.

2 AntwortenA whole lotta truth in this funny little post.
bungie it's your fault the community is a mess
Agree 100%. Bungie's messaging has been a mess and worse, they pit players against each other. Streamers versus everyone else. Trials sweaties versus casuals. Bungie faithful versus anyone with criticisms. This franchise really does need a fresh start with Destiny 2.

19 AntwortenIt is my opinion that many of our complaints and requests in this game are simply impossible to do with this engine. And even if they are possible, not worth the cost of doing on paper. So now this reset comes to the table. I can only hope that means a new engine that provides more flexibility. Quicker updates and add ons. In addition to what they have said in the past, it also includes interviews of them being overwhelmed by its popularity and their inability to keep up with the necessary changes and our feedback. It's also good to remember this game was completely changed only moments before release. Hopefully D2 addresses some of the biggest flaws in the game and we all see a vast improvement in what we as individuals already like and what we want to see happen.

5 Antwortenbungie are trying to make this game as good as they can, while putting up with Activision CEO's Riping things apart... its Bungies game and they want it to be good, Destiny was just a major Beta for Destiny 2, things will be good.

4 AntwortenNo it's not. The community is the problem
