I say remove the 3 loses.
Simple as that, you want to know why so many casuals are leaving now? It's not only the sweaty Trials streamers or just mlg players who enjoy denying people from setting foot into the Lighthouse, it's also because of the intimidation of those losing 3 wins.
I will definitely get a lot of hate from elitist and sweaty Trials players who enjoy denying people hopes and dreams of getting to the lighthouse
cause well lets face it, it's the only thing they got going for them in life's satisfaction
I suggest we remove the 3 loses, this way it may fix the problems of the increased amount of casual players avoiding Trials in general. Sure it will take people a long time to get 9 wins (more then others I'd should say) but at least it would appeal to more players and new streamers starting out who want to play Trials every weekend.
I know I will get lots of hate from those who think they are almighty champions who needs to feed their ego. But let's face it, Trials at the moment is dwindling in interest. I see no one wants to play it and I don't blame them. If we can fix this maybe more people can have a chance at participation without intimidation of the 3 loses in the back of their mind and just concentrate on having fun in a competitive game mode.
Dear Cozmo I hope you can see this post after the amount of hate comments I will be receiving.
Btw it's just a game guys enjoy it, have fun!
Also can we talk about spawn flipping perhaps in Trials that would freshen up the experience.

6 AntwortenWhy the hell does this have so many likes? Oh wait, it's because all the good pvp players don't used forums lol.
-
6 AntwortenAgreed. I hate it when people go flawless 300x, are you serious? Do you have no life and friends in real life and your satisfaction is just thinking your "better" by using meta weapons? Trials is a joke. Should only be one and done on all characters. This is bullshit
-
I understand where you're coming from but it's best to just leave it be. I think the majority of casual players have already left, otherwise they wouldn't have to adjust matchmaking, that was a huge tell of the state of the game. They honestly should just focus all their attention on Destiny 2.
-
4 AntwortenIm not sure it became sweatier because we went flawless as a 365, 365 and 400 light yesterday on our alts that we were levelling.
-
The lighthouse is not for the weak guardian! Keep fighting!
-
I've been flawless 3-4 times when I was playing on my xbox360 account since I upgraded to my PS4 I haven't had the "luck" in going flawless since. As much as I like OPs idea I highly doubt bungie will even look at his post let along think about it which is actually quite sad really Trials used to be a teeth grinder back in year 1 now it's " player has left the game"
-
12 AntwortenTrials this weekend was a -blam!-ing beast holy crap.. never been sweatier and less fun. If this is the direction, they won't have players left. I had so many friends say "done" with destiny till destiny 2, just playing trials this weekend lol. It was awful.
-
I agree with this, BUT it would need to be tested before being made permanent.
-
I actually really like this idea. I have been flawless a few times, but I have many friends that haven't. Seems like a good idea to get more people to play.
-
Trials infected infected casual pvp with sniper aids. I don't play either anymore.
-
16 AntwortenI still think there should be a separate division for people who already went flawless. Just to keep the hired guns out.
-
Just make it so those who get the 9 wins, advance to another level, and play against all the other 9 win folks. Then each group that wins, advance up a level, the losers have to start all over. Maybe do that for 5 rounds, and if you can make it through 5 rounds, you get the lighthouse.

This is a genuinely good idea and would actually entice me to play trials again.
been way too sweaty since y2
-
.....nope....only the spawn flipping

Woah I'm gonna rip your head off without reading your post. Then I'm gonna reattach a more attractive head so you can win trials matches with your good looks, and varied dancing skills.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Just Shaded: 12/20/2016 2:30:45 PMI went flawless yesterday with my 2 friends and all 3 of us are relatively skilled. We're not MLG tournament level tryhards we just play well together. Trials is decided by how well you play as a team. If you're not going flawless it's your fault for not playing well as a team.
-
3 AntwortenTrials will never be worth it for average players. Hell, the one time I got roped into it, we got matched right away against a guy that won something like 80 90 or 100 games straight (no joke). Every match was a slaughter against us. It wasn't fun when it started and it isn't fun now. It will never be fun. Thus we stay away.

1 AntwortenI completely agree with OP. I will just start off by saying I love trials I play tons of it and my KD only sits at a .98. I can say though this weekend was miserable. My fire team consisted of .98kd .87kd and 1.20kd . We played about 20 matches and I would say 15 of those were against teams who's lowest player had a 1.3kd. I like playing trials but I have accepted there is no hope in getting to the light house. My suggestion is to find a way were players not as good can still make it to the light house but maybe it takes significantly longer than if you are good at pvp.

2 AntwortenI agree, or at least have the new weapons drop from the gold tier bounty instead of the old ones. I just want the fusion rifle...that's all I want.
-
It's spelled losses, not loses.
-
1 Antworten
it's also because of the intimidation of those losing 3 wins.
What?
-
6 AntwortenTrials is supposed to be sweaty. As less people play it will become more and more so until only the ultimate tryhar- I mean players will go flawless. Bungie has even said trials isn't for the average player. Let the salt flow.
-
1 AntwortenI think it's the way trials is presented is half the problem. The matchmaking is broken, the in game mechanics make it highly favoured to one team and newer players are put off because they don't want to be stomped 4 games in a row. I think a skill based matchmaking system would be great for trials.

Oh look scrubs looking for more hand outs
