To get the Nova mortis, simply open the xur present package and follow instructions. Abbadon is trickier, because it can glitch out. Once you have Nova Mortis, there should be a quest marker above your vanguard, but that doesn't matter because Zavala has the quest, even if the marker is above someone else. A marker will not appear in orbit, only in the tower. Please leave feedback if this helped!
