This is a 100% real political movement. (Obviously triggered by the 2016 election results.)
Should they leave? Or should they stay? When they are allowed to vote for their departure, they WILL exit the Union. (The crazies outnumber the sensible people 4 to 1.)

California supposedly has a "powerful economy", but the cost of living there is astronomical. (10 cent tax on plastic grocery bags.) How long can they survive on their own? Not long at all.
I personally think they should leave just so we can watch their economy slowly morph into Cuba's. When they depart, Miley Cyrus, Matt Damon, Samuel L. Jackson, Cher... will ALL GO WITH THEM! (Sweet Heaven above! It's a miracle!) Then Donald can build a wall along the Nevada border and cut off immigration. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Nevada will be cut off from the broke Californians attracted to their Right-est states because of the high cost of living.
Basically, this could actually be a great opportunity for the U.S. to remove a thorn from it's side. When the time comes, don't make California stay. Let them leave!
(Don't worry Sane-Californians, we'll get you out of that pit of despair away from those triggered freaks!)

1 AntwortenSane Californian here. There is NO way this state could sustain itself on its own. It's getting to the point where only the very rich and the very poor can afford to live here. There would be an even larger exodus of the middle class with secession. We also don't have nearly enough water. We depend on other states for it. No water would wreak havoc with an agricultural economy. The US government would remove all troops. So a military force comprised of only Californians? Holy shit, what a joke that would be.

1 AntwortenYea, they can have fun not having welfare or any other benefits from the US government. To quote someone in my class:
California can go ahead a leave, in two years tops we will have taken it back and it will be a Republican state.
Personally I think they are skipping some things but oh well. Can't believe those people want to leave the Union, aren't these the same people who hated Trump for saying he would only accept the results if he won?
-
Theyre childish as hell for even thinking about this. Theyd take all their electoral votes with them and there would never be another democratic president again.
-
Civil war 2?
-
3 AntwortenNo state will ever be allowed to leave the union.
-
Sure. I wanna see if they collapse on themselves, a dying star gasping for it's final words, but it can't, because no one can hear him.
-
3 AntwortenPlease make this happen. If California leaves the Dems would never win another election
-
I thought we fixed this problem 200 years ago. But if they did do that I would just love to see what would happen
-
Just wait for the fault line to physically separate them and the ocean will take care of the rest lol

My problem is that they're calling it "Calexit." Common guys. Three syllables? You can't chant that. Call it Caexit. Two syllables. Like how God intended.

2 AntwortenI've said it before and I'll say it again: I don't want to leave the US. Why the -blam!- would anyone living in Cali want to leave? I doubt they realize the work involved in setting up a somewhat stable government, economy, and or military. I mean shit, most of the coastline is Navy property.

6 Antwortenyou know that scientology is a legitimate religion the neo-naz! political party is a legitimate political party and Flat earth theory is legitimate theory right?
there is far crazier legitimate real groups out there----> secession from union isn't that radical an idea, especially since corporate business is what runs the USA right now an not the people
Good, I'll be living there by that time.
