Explain why or why not? Im curious about what the community want's for the next game.
*Edit: instead of just exotics i changed it to anything, because i liked what all of you posted down in the comments. Their Good idea's, and am also interested in what else that you guys want them to bring back. For me i would want the last word to be in the next game. It might not be in the next game, but hopefully they make something similar to it. Its fun hip firing and gives off a western vibe when i use it. Im gonna miss it.
*Edit: This statement is nothing big, but for the next game the lore and story may change if we are going into the future or past. If it doesnt then everything may stay the same.
*Edit: I am sorry to those who think i should'nt have changed the title, but like i said in the first edit people were talking about other things then exotics and they were really good idea's. I believe it should stay the way it is right now, so it can include both exotics and other things from the game.
*Edit: now there's two things going on in the comments section. One, is that people from year 1 and 2 have spent a lot of hours upon hours on this game. I'm a year one player which means i put 3 years into this game! Two, is that those who either just started or are from year 2 want a restart or bring a few things over. Now I'm gonna leave this up to the votes and the comment section, but i just said this so everyone can see what their dealing with or what others ( or yourself) have been through in this game that leads to today.

Honestly, no. I want a clean slate. I want the shader system to be revamped. Let us unlock colors to use on any part of our armor we'd like. I want a pallette, not a collection of pre made shaders. The weapons and armor need to go as well. I want Destiny 2.0, not Destiny 1.5

2 AntwortenI picked no. Do you keep your prestige items? Do you keep your favorite battlefield guns from title to title? Do you keep you whatever was your favorite from your played shooter when the next one is released? Do you expect to keep those items or are you aware after years of those games that it will be a fresh start for everyone?

your character along with class items and ghost shells which have had the stupid stat rolls removed from them so you can just worry about looking pretty without having your LL changed
-
Emblems, shaders, and ships only
-
1 AntwortenIm okay with losing everything, if i can get some servers in this bitch.
-
They really should just carry emblems, shaders, few ships and maybe emotes. No weapons and armor at all. Carry your character's look with a possibility to change it and give us maybe few levels. Current grimoire needs to be either implemented into the game or reworked into a Codex system. Maybe limit character carry to only one character?
-
No. because destiny, although my favorite game, was a complete failure in consideration of what it was supposed to be. For this reason destiny 2 needs to completely new with nothing from destiny holding it back. Asking to transfer your favorite weapon or your favorite character would imply that destiny 2 also have that weapon and that character type. But it shouldn't have any of these constraints. It needs to be created without any constraints from original destiny so that they can create what was supposed to be the most successful game franchise of this decade.

I just want my emotes! I've only bought a few, but still would be a shame if they just disappeared. Other than that and maybe other some other Eververse items I'm okay with a completely fresh start

I don't mind about the characters, but it'd be cool if they kept the lore intact. While it'd be awesome to have new enemy types, enemies like the Cabal weren't fully explored. Also, for nostalgia, it'd be cool if certain exotic weapons or even legendary weapons that were epic enough to remember in this game made the jump. They don't have to be the same, and I want a shit load of new ones, but it wouldn't be bad to hear about a weapon of epic proportions to find out it's an old friend from Destiny 1. The NPC's. Like, Zavala, Ikora, the Speaker, the stranger, etc. I feel like this game did terrible with fleshing these characters out. Oh, let's not forget the Traveler. Be cool to see them included in the story in a meaningful way. Ya know... really get it right this time.

I may be done after destiny, no matter what they do. It's been a lot of fun, but also a very frustrating game to put time into. I believe characters will xfer, but not gear/guns.

2 AntwortenI would like to see characters transfer, but not in a way that I imagine most people would expect. What I'd propose is that our current characters become something of an NPC that goes off on a high-risk mission/quest. His/her/their effectiveness would depend on our accomplishments in Destiny 1: completed quests, light level, grimoire score, moments of triumph, number of characters, etc. The more we learned and experienced, the more successful our D1 guardian(s) will be. In their absence, the Traveler reawakens and releases new Ghosts; this leads to the birth of a brand new class of Guardians, which gives reason for our new character(s). As we progress through the game, we hear passing mention of the legends of Saladin, Shaxx, Zavala, etc., along with our D1 guardian(s). There could even be a cutscene where our new guardian(s) meet the D1 guardian(s), perhaps a battle sequence where we get to see the legend we've created in action. They could even show up with our chosen armor and weapons to further showcase items we earned. I think that this would be a way to move forward with new characters while respecting the hours and accomplishments that D1 players put into their current guardian(s). It'd also be a great way to fulfill the "Become Legend" tagline Bungie used to first promote Destiny.

Grimoire. Start off with so much and D2 newbies will see big numbers and think much experience. I dunno, things don't HAVE to carry over. Not like i had any halo 3 stuff in reach. Maybe do how some games do where progress from one game equals cool starting/lasting freebies in the next game. Gimme boosted vendors, factions, weapon/armor/item caches. Give me access to powerful gear for filling out my exotic collection. Just something small, but interesting showing i did a thing.

Hell no!!! Look what is happening now. Remakes and reskins everywhere

Bearbeitet von Sol Didact: 12/12/2016 4:43:15 AMPeople's emblems, and definitely their emotes because of how costly they are. Maybe shaders.

The lag, if we could bring the lag over into Destiny 2 that would be great. You know what, it's already there waiting for us.

7 AntwortenComplete character transfer including items and characters themselves, i want to go into year 4 of destiny on my warlock with my favorite weapons. Otherwise the game is a sham and a lie to me and will never be a sequel to destiny.
-
1 AntwortenThey did say you could bring your characters for a 10 year experience. But, since my characters have 0 personality or anything unique about them. I vote for a complete scrap and start over. I could really care less about my characters. If we could give them back stories or anything that would define them as being an individual, then I may reconsider.

Anything besides characters and guns, it's a new game not dlc
-
What they should do with characters is let them be transfered. Simply give the new classes an xp boost to encourage use of them first. Its worked very well in other games. The maximum level should be very very high and either lower the overall xp gain or put a cap on it per day/week. This will encourage use of the other characters and prevent us from getting burnt out by lack of content as quickly as we did in Destiny 1.Players can still earn xp after the cap but it transfers into glimmer or whatever. Even add a way to get rid of of the lock by having us meet a hard or time consuming requirement. As long as it's not through real money. This game has always been ridiculous in how fast you can level.
-
Maybe shaders and emblems, but otherwise, fresh wipe/start.
-
Just bring all of the kiosk like shader, emblems, emotes, etc.

Honestly, the only thing I see being carried over is Eververse, and that's a BIG maybe. From every rumor I've heard so far (and let's face it, Bungie won't confirm or deny any of them), everyone will start from scratch. All of that progression won't mean a thing once you insert the disc of the sequel. And personally, if that's the cost to pay for the sequel to get more frequent updates, expansions and DLC, then I'm all for it.
