Should anything from Destiny be brought over to Destiny 2?
Explain why or why not? Im curious about what the community want's for the next game.
*Edit: instead of just exotics i changed it to anything, because i liked what all of you posted down in the comments. Their Good idea's, and am also interested in what else that you guys want them to bring back. For me i would want the last word to be in the next game. It might not be in the next game, but hopefully they make something similar to it. Its fun hip firing and gives off a western vibe when i use it. Im gonna miss it.
*Edit: This statement is nothing big, but for the next game the lore and story may change if we are going into the future or past. If it doesnt then everything may stay the same.
*Edit: I am sorry to those who think i should'nt have changed the title, but like i said in the first edit people were talking about other things then exotics and they were really good idea's. I believe it should stay the way it is right now, so it can include both exotics and other things from the game.
*Edit: now there's two things going on in the comments section. One, is that people from year 1 and 2 have spent a lot of hours upon hours on this game. I'm a year one player which means i put 3 years into this game! Two, is that those who either just started or are from year 2 want a restart or bring a few things over. Now I'm gonna leave this up to the votes and the comment section, but i just said this so everyone can see what their dealing with or what others ( or yourself) have been through in this game that leads to today.

Grimoire Emblems and/or shaders Or, alternatively... A tiered reward that D1 players get depending on what they did (or how much they did) in the first three years. The more "complete" you are as an OG player, the more exclusive stuff you get. I don't really expect all those weapons and stuff to stay with you in D2.

Gear/weapons only. Doesn't make sense to keep the entire character as they can be created.

Just emblems, shaders and possibly cosmetic items. I want it to feel like a new game tho so don't bring over characters or gear or whatever like that.

Shaders and emblems at least. The moments of triumph emblems would have no point in collecting then.

The only thing that should be brought into Destiny 2 from Destiny 1 are promotional items: Certain Emblems, shaders and sparrows. Nothing else. No grimoire, no stats, no progress. Fresh start.

It's going to be a new game, cost upwards of £50 so it needs to be a start from fresh for me. If anything other than a few cosmetic items get transferred over then I wont be buying it

No, D2 should be new everything. Servers for pvp Guardians A -blam!-ing story that people can understand Pvp and pve separated Online optional( don't care if fanboys call it an mmo....it's not imo.) Add those thing and you have a game

This game has become way too easy. I want it to be like y1 destiny where you had to work for everything, so I'm happy to start with nothing! The nightfall was actually hard! Take us back to orbit if our fire team dies and give us our blue flame back. Rainbow or arc burn omnigal holy ... The raid took hours and the raid weapons were the best in the game and had a low chance of dropping - fatebringer, vision and black hammer my eyes are on you! Exotics were well "exotic" and kept you playing and completing everything that gave you a chance of it dropping. Y1 gally, vex, and icebreaker I'm talking about you! Forever 29... well it wasn't me but I feel for the people grinding ever possible opportunity to get to level 30 Upgrading a weapon took hours of xp and materials that you ran circles for. Well maybe this got a little old The story was somewhat challenging and took more than a few hours (don't ask me what happens because I never pay attention) Everything is being dialled down in destiny to make it easier and unfortunately this makes the content less replayable as it simply lacks challenge or something worth grinding for. While I'm enjoying a break for destiny I'd like to look forward to weekly reset again where we had our teams ready and waiting, check points saved and shared, and possibly the joy of getting that elusive gally! I want Y1 again and if that means starting fresh then bring it on

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only things worth keeping are the basic story idea. And the classes I guess. The story's has a good premise, but that's it. The writing is up with the worst I've seen, and just told terribly. They should be ashamed tbh. Hire a decent writer that knows the basics to story telling.

Honestly, no. I want a clean slate. I want the shader system to be revamped. Let us unlock colors to use on any part of our armor we'd like. I want a pallette, not a collection of pre made shaders. The weapons and armor need to go as well. I want Destiny 2.0, not Destiny 1.5
