Of course you can, it can easily happen for one person and not the other. Experience is one way of understanding this. Id say, for someone falling in love for their first time, it may be hard to recognize that

True love? Absolutely Romantic love? No. That only is REAL when both individuals share the same feelings toward each other. If a person is all head over heels for someone else, and that person is either unaware or not interested, then that is infatuation and very possibly lust. Neither of which are remotely love.
