the disappointment is only from those setting expectations that are unrealistic. Always expect nothing and you will always be pleasantly surprised.

I think it's more like the community kinda detached itself from reality. Not just this one, mind - I'm broadening it to video games in general. So, so few games meet their hype or expectations. I would say the gamers need to start tempering expectations a bit rather than totally passing the blame. Could Destiny be better? Totally. But I think despite its flaws or limitations, it's still a pretty strong offering. We can only truly know a thing once we start playing it, after all.

1st srl and rise of iron I didn't mind. RoI was expected to be at more after a long and large content drought

Don't hype yourself up for things, just enjoy it if it's fun. The roller coaster of emotions isn't fun, so don't get on the ride

To my knowledge, they've released a single trailer for the event. The community is the one pushing the hype train.

The only thing that dissapointed people about SRL last year was that you had to buy the book and there were only 2 tracks, other than that it was a pretty decent success. But that's just my opinion and on these forums that means bugger all.

Dark below was alright. Year one was the best IMO. Rise of iron is the best expansion to date. All the hype has lived up to the real thing so far IMO. Maybe I'm just easy to please though

I member.. But I think this one will be a good update. Having srl permanent with 4 tracks after its over, along with incentive to play strikes more often. New gear, new weapons. It will feel like a update for once. Now I just hope all auto rifles get a +1 to damage and +5 to stability and the game will be about perfect. At the end of the dawning, lets hope they show the trailer for destiny 2 with a release date in may. Everyone will be happy enough.
