Im going insane, and i really hope SBMM is removed in d2 or before d2. I play against the same people all the time. And i been getting the sweatiest lobbys. EVER. If you look at my recent games, i barely been going positive. I even tried mayhem and sweats were flooding that too.
Maybe im losing my skill? I wasnt using the best guns, plus I been slowly breaking away from destiny because i have nothing to do in pve, and i been playing different games like cod and halo. I would play crucible more often but its a laggy, toxic sweatfest that frustrates me more than i have fun. And after that BS weekly update bungie made on SBMM, i was f#cking pissed, and lost even more motivation to play the crucible.
After playing halo 5 and cod multiplayer, i realized how much more fun, casual, and less stressful it was than the crucible. I only encountered a few sweats/red bars but overall the connections were good. I understand the crucible is supposed to be unique from other multiplayer games, and while it is, it also needs to be fun, bungie.
Even though destiny is based off pve, when you finish all the content all there is left is crucible. In y1 and y2 when i ran out of things to do, i did play crucible until new content dropped. I hated crucible since y2, but i forced myself to play. But y3, i dont think im doing it this time. With the current meta and SBMM bs, i cant take it. Im finally doing it. Im gonna play a different game. For now on, i only play on reset. Some of you may say "bye no one cares" but im sure theres more and more people giving up for now too. And from what i hear on the forums, youtube, reddit, my own friends, from people i find on lfg, and the decreasing population of this game... its true.

11 Antwortenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plufryTtYvU&t=2469s Scroll to the middle part of the video. About "Technology/Matchmaking" TLDW: There is no perfect solution here. 1. People play with shitty internet that has no business in online gaming. Bungie can't fix that. 2. People have to share internet with other people. Bungie can't stop someone's little sister from streaming Netflix in the middle of your Crucible match. 3. People cheat. They yank network cables. They lag switch. They (D)Dos. Because they (in some warped way) think this is acceptable in online gaming. Bungie can't stop this without rewriting the game's entire networking engine. 4. Even if Bungie gives you exactly what you want, they may drive one (or more) OTHER players away. YOUR definition of "fun" is being allowed to beat up on players less skilled than you. Well I can tell you from personal experience that it is NOT FUN being on the receiving end of that kind of beat down. a. I took that kind of beating when I tried to learn how to play BF4....and I lasted under it for a week. Shooter gamer may put up with that kind of abuse....but the MMO and RPG gamers who make up a LARGE part of this game's player base, aren't. They'll quit and never step foot back into PvP. b. I took a similar beating Sunday night when someone let a pro loose in a lobby with a group of Top 25% players. He casually threw down a 4.5 in a lobby full of people wearing Trials gear. I personally lost EVERY SINGLE 1v1 encounter with him. I did not seem him lose a 1v1 the entire match. In fact, I saw him shoot himself out of several 1v2s and 1v3s. While HE might have been having fun and "relaxing". Having to play against him ----because the of massive skill gap----was frustrating and pointless. Bottomline, the game is the way it is, because it gives the best experience to the LARGEST number of people...and is the least SHITTY option for the community as a whole.

Titanfall is CBMM... You should see the pubstomp in some of the matches... SBMM is bad but there is no solution. One thing i like about TF is that they publish all kinds of stats on screen in game. Lile ur game server, number of players online and ur ping stats. If only D2 could be a server based game.... Oh but that will require a rewrite and Bungie won't be able to reskin or copy paste... Hmmm.... Tough decision.

38 AntwortenI made a 1 minute video showing some class A bullshit that is SBMM. I'm sure 99% of you can relate. I'm done with this game. Crucible is a joke now. Terrible Connections, Sweaty Matches, Clever Matadors.
-
7 AntwortenFor me SBMM is not a problem, its the 6v5 and 5v4. My team is always down one player and it stays like that the whole game. Anyone experience this?

16 AntwortenMy only main gripe about Crucible: Sliding and floating shotgunners. I'd rather get killed by any other weapon. Shotguns are one hit kills even on body shots. The instant you see someone slide or float up you know they are using a shotgun as their main weapon. I saw someone last night owning everyone including me with a pulse rifle and they did it with style. That is good to see. You tip your hat. On principle alone I dismantle every shotgun RNG gives me.

17 AntwortenEver consider the possibility that you keep playing the same guys because the player base is decreasing? People like to make sbmm the sacrificial lamb now a days, when the simple fact is the player base is dried up. The filthy casual has moved on guys and all that is left is the tryhards playing each other and not even cbmm is gonna change that! I'm sure by now Bunnie has heard our crys for matchmaking preferences, and hopefully they will incorporate our feedback (like my personal deal breaker, dedicated servers) into D2. Until then...it is what it is! Grab another game and get your sanity people!

4 AntwortenThe slow, melodic music of the birds singing in the trees. The sun rising magnificently over the horizon, covering the ground in warm light that causes the dew to sparkle like gems. A young man wakes up. A gamer, tired, but awake. He looks out the window with eyes half open as he keys the power button on his PS4. The sound of Destiny's theme music plays as he loads in on his character. He checks his loadout. Mida and a fusion, just the way he left them. He hovers over the doubles playlist, worried. He knows his rank. How couldn't he? Everyone makes such a stupid point about it. His brows furrowed as he pressed down on his button to enter the playlist. He put down his controller and reached over to put his headphones on. He set a music playlist active. He new it would be a long wait. Usually taking 5 to 10 minutes. He looked to the top left as the loading circle kept spinning. "Searching for sweats" read the loading text. He didn't budge, he knew what he was going into. The text changed. "Evaluating farthest players away." He sighed, and closed his eyes. It was always like this now. Ever since that update. He heard his ship begin to enter orbit and his eyes cracked open. He peaked at his phone. 7 minutes into his playlist. "Eh, early huh?" he said sarcastically. The ship dropped down into the clouds. His character spawned in. The booming voice of Shaxx emerged from the ambience. "I've seen enough. I'm calling this one!" The mercy rule appeared in the bottom left, and the countdown quickly booted him to orbit. He saw new text appear. "We're splitting up those teams to find you a worse random." The text read. He still wasn't surprised. It took another 8 minutes to find a match. When the round locked in and players descended into orbit, he took a minute to check the lobby. A level 13 with a blue scout rifle and unleveled subclass, and a team of two. His eyes narrowed on the duo. Two stormcallers, two clever dragons with hc rounds, and two matadors, while both wore those flashy new quickdraw mittens. Both had skorris to chain supers, and the two both sported a dictionary clan name with brackets on either side, to make sure people knew they were competitive. He fought bravely, and the two made sure they were both ressed before bagging him after they rushed him with their matadors and electric crutch punches. The game was over soon, the level 13 sporting a magnificent 3-24. Unfaltered, he glanced at the top left as a message appeared. "gg git gud" He let out a deep breath. "-blam!- this matchmaking"
-
You are not losing your skill, you are getting matched against worthy competition.

49 Antwortenall i read was "i want SBMM removed because i can't smash noobz casually, when i want, and my k/d is suffering."
-
Bungie will not change it. They already released a statement regarding peoples opinions to sbmm. Community has to get over it. Bungie has said tuff shīt

Here's my issue with SBMM. I enjoy competitive play - but to constantly be on the edge of your skill level, regardless of what level you're at is - is a sweat. Private matches now offer the opportunity to sweat, so that's there if you want it. For me that should be it; there's your option if you want it. However if I take a day off work, the majority of the servers are filled with people who are in another time zone - lag. Every game is then awful when it comes to connection! Impossible even. And there was me thinking that I thought the connection was 'bad' in general. Note this isn't about a day off work, it's just an example. A good game should be a fun game - it's the number one priority. However it doesn't matter how good a game is, if the connection is dire, you cannot enjoy it. And that's the problem here. It's not about "if you can't handle the heat, step out the kitchen....and go play CoD or BF1". That's the worst counterpoint going. In fact if you're encouraging people to switch because you have, you really should stick to their forums and not this. If you're telling people to just leave because "you suck", well that's most helpful - thank you. If Destiny wants to go all MLG, then in Destiny 2 it can. This game wasn't really built for that. But to maintain the community, it needs to find a balance. It can't neglect the voice of the casuals - nor the competitive voice too. The solution most definitely isn't a mix of SBMM or CBMM.. It's about an option of either. Worryingly, it's already set up to offer both separately but is horribly failing by trying to combine the two. The sooner this amendment is made, the better the crucible will be for both the filthy casuals, and the filthy sweats.
-
I like how no one actually thinks about the issue and just goes at the group making process. As though it is that part entirely that is causing the frustration for them when the gameplay they are experiencing is right there. Did you see the hint? There's a gameplay problem at work too guys. You'll all figure it out one day. The optimist side of me has to believe you all aren't this dense.
-
6 AntwortenDestiny doesn't have the player base to support sbmm let alone a ranked playlist. It should be cbmm based on how few people there are that still play the game
-
2 AntwortenJust stop playing. That's your option for the time being, all you can do is hope that if their playerbase drops off that maybe they'll take the complaints seriously. I'm nothing special but I am in the top 1% of Destiny tracker for crucible with regard to DTR score and time played with almost 32 days in Crucible with a 1.23 k/d. I don't bring these up as a subtle brag but merely to show that I've put the time into crucible like many others. As someone who used to love crucible because it's such a unique experience in comparison to other games (different abilities, more fluid movement, etc) I'm sick of this shit. The whole crucible experience has gone down hill. I truly believe that weapons felt the best right before TTK dropped when they introduced rift and balanced everything. From what I remember (this was over a year ago) everything felt pretty powerful and viable. Now, between the HRoF pulses being too powerful (argue against this all you want... there's a reason why we see this being used by almost everyone. Hand cannons are not in a good spot, auto rifles are still blah, and scouts are rarely seen except for mida), shotguns being inconsistent, shitty play styles to counter the lack of powerful weapons, sweaty matches non stop, spawning into games half over down by 5k points with the enemy team having supers/heavy, and lagging players crucible SUCKS TO PLAY. This is coming from someone who used to play crucible daily and enjoy it, now it's just such a shit show that it's discouraging to play. If there was only one issue with crucible it wouldn't be so bad, but it's plagued by many and that's why it's so bad right now. That's not to say that I don't enjoy the game because I do, but Bungie needs to pull their head out of their asses, play their own game and fix it.

Bearbeitet von Goldship: 11/29/2016 7:24:22 AMOddly enough sbmm has been the least of my problems Got weaseled in trails and I get two more losses while only being one win away from a weapon (I rarely do trails and I was really wanting to get one) Got weaseled in orbit Got weaseled in a raid (vog for laughs, right on oracles) Got weaseled in coe (I wanted to try to get crows eye and some exotics) All in the same day, mind you this was two days ago I'm surprised I didn't get weaseled in real life

3 AntwortenI'm at my breaking point too man. Crucible is literally a miserable experience and at what cost? Beginning players are shielded from high skilled players because they don't want to "discourage them"

I'm in a similar situation. Overwatch is fun.

I used to play crucible weekly for shaxx bounties. These days, it would be a miracle if I finish one with a character.

6 AntwortenI also have yet to see a valid argument in favor of SBMM
-
3 AntwortenSBMM is awesome as long as the population is high. The longer a game exists the worse SBMM gets SBMM can and is so great at a games peak, but when it's dying it leaves those who stick around in a tough spot. Destroy your KD to get more fun matches or keep playing like you're fighting for prize money every game possible. I don't see SBMM ever going away, but it would be nice if they accounted for the population and loosened it as the game ages and declines
-
This games already crap fest of a Pvp arena has always been trash. P2p connection makes it worse as the player base dwindles. It'll be even worse after srl comes and goes. One day playing Pvp on a game with dedicated servers you will wonder why you ever stepped foot in the crapcible.

It's super sweaty now i have no idea how i get matched up against guys who can snipe me while im in a full sprint and i can barely snipe a Knight
