I don't even own Titanfall 2, but reading the specific and honest answers in this update I'm going to pick this game up. I'm impressed, maybe Bungie could read and take notice how things SHOULD be done. If only....
Edit 1: some great feedback on a simple post. Maybe if this gets some more traction it will garner some notice from the powers that be and start an actual constructive dialogue
Edit 2: damn this little post blew up. Reading the constructive feedback in the posts below it looks like a lot of the community would like to have improved communication with Bungie
"Your move"
Why no reply from Bungie??? (Sad face)
Edit of edit 3: damn this thing is still going??? Love it!!! Perhaps Bungie will notice a post that's been at the top of the trending page for a day ;-)
Edit 4: obligatory this is crazy that this thread is still on top of front page for over a day.
Anyway just a PSA: the best deal I have found is up now on Bestbuy for $29.99 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/titanfall-2-xbox-one/5261500.p?skuId=5261500
Edit of edit 5: Good lord--- almost broke the 700 reply barrier. Wow. Thanks to everyone for the great discussion!!! Here's to trending for three days.
Edit 6: broke 700 replies. ZERO from Bungie. Disappointing. Devs come here and all I see is:
Returning to orbit in 5...4...3...2...1...

1 AntwortenWow, not only was the tone very positive. It that update contained a detail map for the game's future (dlc, events, double exp etc). They also acknowledged some problems in the game. Bungie, please take notes!
-
People are taking note of Bungie mistakes and showing them how it should be done.
-
9 AntwortenI'm Calling this now GTA 6 will kill Destiny (2)

Bumb, but Bugle will never be this humble.

3 AntwortenI got pissed with Destiny because of crucible issues and picked up Titanfall 2. TBH I'm struggling to get into it. Graphics are a step up but it feels kinda samey. It just doesn't feel as satisfying to launch a rocket into someone's face. (I miss the space magic and torching those aliens and I've only been playing campaign so far though...) So I did a couple of Nightfalls today (yep, Sabre, and it sucked - got a 399 chest and 19 strange coins...) but I probably enjoyed it more - partly because meeting 2 chill guys from the100, but that's part of Destiny for me.

TF2 is friggin AWESOME. You'd be hard pressed to not like it.
-
The weekly update just became more of a waste of time, even though I skipped 90% of it. The only interesting thing was the last statement being a thin reference to $RL, and that's at least 3 weeks away yet Welcome to Y3 beta same as Y2 beta.

First titanfall was a great game and im sure the second one is pretty good too. Still got hand it to Bungie, they have kept my attention pretty much on Destiny for 2 years.
-
*here is how microtransactions should be done

The makers of titanfall have always been amazing. It had short comings and perhaps not the addicting game like destiny. I feel like its missing the gamer to connect with other gamers like in raids. Otherwise a great and greed less company.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von GG-RnG: 11/24/2016 6:20:01 AMCompare that to bungie's Weekly update... "Thanks giving"
-
Correct. And this is no ploy to get more people to buy. They said this stuff before they knew EA literally obliterated the sales by making that release date. Hopefully word of mouth, good reviews will push this game. They should really put a level out as a demo get people familiar with awesome game play and titans.

8 AntwortenTruth is the destiny community would read the part pay for titans and say pay to win before they see what they even are. That would be followed by an effort amongst the forums protesting it. TF2 is a good game as is destiny. The problem with destiny is that it's so good at first and bungie has failed to follow up with its balancing and flawed minor updates. People keep playing destiny because it is very good at its core. The annoyances are huge and so are lag. Any type of matchmaking will not fix lag because the game itself is P2P and popular around the world. Flame on d bags and OP is -blam!-.

I miss the old bungies weekly update in the Halo days

"In addition to the free stuff, we will be opening a store in game with the launch of DLC #1 that will allow you to purchase new skins, camo and Prime Titans if you want for a modest price. We will have no in-game currency exchange. No locked loot boxes, crafting shards or pay-to-win weaponry. No RNG. If you see something you like, you buy it and that’s it. These in no way effect stats and are purely cosmetic. We will have two Prime Titans available at launch. They have new chassis and assassinations but function the exact same way as their original counterparts." Then there is Bungie. Everything is Rng LOL

9 AntwortenListen a little off topic but hear me out. GIVE THIS GAME A CHANCE. It's a little more CoD style in pace, but it's fun. All dlc is FREE. The devs are doing great, plenty of customization, and there's a story (It's not very good but you play destiny so..(I love destiny but I have to admit, story was engaging but lackluster and just twisted)). Anyway it's fun and the team has done a great job. If we don't help them, by buying it of course (not throwing money at the screen, Mr Luke smith (*/Jk/*), then the project will be cancelled and titanfall would just be a bust. Please pick it up. I love Destiny, but taking a break every now and then is cool. Trust me, if you are on xbox right now, you can buy this for $35 or $75 for titanfall AND bf1. Anyway, Profeta Out.

Do NOT hide the second record book behind a paywall...

Bearbeitet von oOMrVendettaOo: 11/24/2016 6:57:41 AMNot my kind of game but Destiny could indeed learn some from these guys.. However we did get a broom last time... But then again they took it away once they saw us sweeping up some salt with it and that we liked it..

Titanfall has definitely been more fun for me than destiny has been for the past year.

4 AntwortenI have read the reviews, the game is damn good from every site I've found. Not a bad review at all. This is how to talk to your customer base. Honest. Transparent. Succinct! David Vague's writing is convoluted and comes off with almost an arrogance. But the real issue is the lies. A guy listed a whole lot of em and if you've been around since the beginning you know what i am talking about. *i saw people equating eververse and the free dlc thing. That's entirely untrue. Aside from SRL, eververse is just a means to sell more stuff. It's self serving. I've never personally bought anything in game and it's none of my business what others do our do not do, but wasn't the recent festival a bit much? Sure seemed like it was 99% about getting people to buy even more rng stuff. I'm not sure. All i know was i saw some redone decorating in the social areas and some kind of new audio I like the way these titanfall devs are talking. I probably will pick up a copy now. (But destiny is just so fn addictive lol)

That's why bungie stopped calling them "weekly updates" because they don't update us on anything anymore. They're called "this week at bungie" now because they just go over things we already know and give us a vague message about what's "coming"
-
1 AntwortenBungie should take notes but honestly the community is also pretty -blam!-ing bitchy. Nothing but moaning and complaining. Both bungo and the community are -blam!-ing up. Those patch notes do make me feel like getting titan fall even more though. I has no money atm unfortunately.
